  • How do I get only two form fields to show instead of all 5 on initial page load? CSS

    Here is the implementation: http://jsfiddle.net/AdQfB/2/ If you notice, when you click 'Login' or 'Register' before entering anything, you should see a few fields disappear and re-appear respectively. I would like for this page to display the view of just the two fields on the first load (rather than the current 5 it shows on first load), then when the user clicks the 'register' link, it shows the other 3 - for a total of 5. How do I do that? Thanks

    I have several anchor tags on a page with the same id of 'hrefCompare'. I need to dynamically set the value of the href attribute on ALL of these a tags. I am currently trying to do this: $("#hrefCompare").attr("href", "foobar.com"); However, this only sets the very first anchor tag with that ID. there's 7 more on this page with the same id of 'hrefCompare'. How can I set all of the href values with that ID?

No matter what i put in that width attribute, i get the same size width tooltip which is about half of the width that i need. the height is perfectly fine. any ideas? is this a bug in the product ?

    I've read about this a lot and I just can't figure it out. It has nothing to do with MY code, it has to do with the feed or something because if I swap it with a Twitter feed it returns an Object object which is perfect. $.getJSON('http://rockbottom.nozzlmedia.com:8000/api/portland/?count=1&callback=?',function(json){ console.log(json) }); And i get an "invalid label" error. Any ideas?

    I'm loading an image in an iframe and then (once the iframe is loaded) loading the image on the page. But most browsers seem to be loading the image twice. Why isn't the img tag being loading from the cache?   • PHP / javascript live chat using too much bandwidth

    So I am learning about javascript, so I am making a live chat system with PHP and javascript. I have it so the javascript refreshes the log (each message gets logged in a file on the server), and it refreshes every second. Im using firebug to monitor the resource usage, and I see under the net tab each times its updated, and the bytes add up really fast. I know I can change it to update less, but is there a way that when a user on the other end I'm talking to, when the send a message, it gets sent to the server, then an alert gets sent to me saying that the chatlog needs to update somehow. That way it only updates when the log is updated. let me know, thanks

    Hi, I am using the jqGrid plug-in and at one point I need to refresh the grid and set the selected row to match the record that I am showing in detail on another section of the page. I have the following code but it does not work: $("#AllActions").trigger("reloadGrid").setSelection(selectedRow); The selectedRow parameter comes from an event handler that gets called when the data is changed and the grid needs to be updated. I'm pretty sure that the problem is that the grid is not loaded when the selection is being set, because if I put a call to alert() between the calls to trigger() and setSelection(), it works.     Today I implemented the horizontal jScrollPane script and the element I intended to scrolls like a charm. Via CSS I'm using an image for the jspDrag element. Now for my question; I see that there are a few css classes added to the jspDrag like jspHover and jspActive. Is it also possible to add css classes when I scroll to the left or right? I would like to do this, so I can change the image according to the scroll. (Hoping my question is clear, a reaction would be highly appreciated. Kind regards)

    I would like to add some online pages to an application keep them up to date without releasing a new store version. For this I taught I could use jqm ajax navigation to load the external page. (I'm aware that might not be allowed for all platforms.)     I am using jqueryUI v1.8. I have created a modal dialog form to edit records of a table. When the edit link on the record is clicked the record data is displayed on the form and the user edits the record. When the user submits this form the data is serialized and posted via ajax to update the database. This works well with all records except the first one. Nothing is posted to server for update only for the first record. alert(serializeddata); is empty. Similarly, The first form element in every record chosen for editing does not show the actual value the first time. Once you cancel editing and close the dialog and reopen you can see the fields accurate data. How do I resolve this?
