• Hibernate Query Exception

  I've got a hibernate query I'm trying to get working but keep getting an exception with a not so helpful stack trace. I'm including the code, the stack trace, and hibernate chatter before the exception is thrown. • WiX major upgrade refuses to replace existing file!

  Hello! I have inherited this project with a WiX installer, and am required to make this version usefully upgrade the previous one! My problem comes in replacing the database files with new versions. No, the problem is not that they are locked, I can replace them manually, and in fact now ONE of them is replaced, while the other is not. Please, please tell me what I'm doing wrong here. I've tried several other solutions (including registry keys as KeyPath instead of CompanionFile) but nothing is quite working. The file that is giving me trouble is the one called "PathwaysMdf". Even though it's Component code is EXACTLY the same as the PathwaysLdf file, that file is replaced, while the MDF is NOT. • problem with revalidating a jframe.

  I have this code which should take the radio button input do a little math and display a popup. which it does fine. but then it is supposed to re validate and ask the next question. when i get to the second question, the answer always comes out as the isSelected(true) value no matter which radio button you click on. • Stuck on preserving config file in WIX major upgrade!

  ARGH! Wix is driving me crazy. So, of course I have seen the many posts both here on stackoverflow and elsewhere about WiX and major upgrades. I inherited this software project using WiX and am releasing a new version. I need this new version to leave ONLY the one configuration file if it's present, and replace everything else. This installer works EXCEPT no matter what I have done so far, the new XML file replaces the old on every install. Even attempting to use NeverOverwrite="yes" and even trying and messing back and forth with OnlyDetect="no"! I am simply stuck and humbly request a little guidance. The file that needs to be preserved is called SETTINGS.XML and is in the All Users-ApplicationData directory. • jquery jumps to top on click event, return false or prevenDefault doesn't work

  Hi, I have written a simple jquery script for a content slider. My problem is that the screen always jumps to the top position of the parent div when sliding the content. I've tried return false and preventDefault to cope with this effect, but the two just make the script not work anymore, nothing happens when I click the links.. • Google Maps API v3 - Different markers/labels on different zoom levels

  I was wondering if it is possible that Google has a feature to view different markers on different zoom levels. For example, on zoom level 1, I want one marker over China with the label saying "5". And as the user zooms in, lets say on zoom level 4, I want the previous marker and label to disappear. And I want to have 5 new markers/labels, each on a different city in China all saying "1". Thus China will say a number and all the cities in China will say numbers adding up to China's number. The key concept I am trying to figure out here is how to hide markers and labels based on zoom levels. A constraint for me is that I am living in China currently where google is censored, so a lot of online documents are censored for me, including many of google's documentations. • How to target SCOM 2007 R2 monitor to monitor only one server

  Hi, This might be basic, but hopefully someone can help me: We have a well-working SCOM 2007 R2 implementation monitoring our Microsoft infrastructure. Now, on one of these servers there's an event (logged to the eventlog) that I need to be alerted on. I have created a group and put this one windows server in it. Then, I created a monitor with simple event detection, entered the event id and used the group name as "monitor target". This doesnt work - the monitor doesn't show up in health explorer at all. However, If I create the monitor with "Windows computers" as target it works, but that means I'll have to disable the monitor, and then enable it for the group, which is cumbersome and slightly illogical to me. Is this by design, or am I doing something wrong?

  I've moved an older Sendmail/Dovecot system to a Zimbra community edition system. I need to be able to receive messages from certain standalone Linux hosts that may not have valid A records or proper reverse DNS entries established (e.g. AT&T is the ISP or systems sitting on a consumer-level ISP). Establishing the reverse DNS or setting a SMARTHOST is not an option. The error I get in zimbra.log is: zimbra postfix/smtp[2200]: DB83B231B53: to=<root@host_name.baddomain.com>, relay=none, delay=0.07, delays=0.06/0/0/0, dsn=5.4.4, status=bounced (Host or domain name not found. Name service error for name=host_name.baddomain.com type=A: Host not found How can I override this? Is this more of a Postfix issue or is it Zimbra? edit - The problem seems to be with an underscore in the hostname of the server. So it's a problem with root@host_name.baddomain.com. Again, how can I override this in Zimbra?

• Recommendations on laptops - long battery life, slim, Windows 7

  Hi, I have been looking at a couple of laptops... The most important requirement is long battery life, slim & light, and runs Windows 7. One that seems to fit the bill is the Sony Vaio Z series laptops. They claim to have long battery life, have some really impressive specs (on paper) and a very nice design. They are not on sale where I am yet but has seen/used them? Second would be the Lenovo Thinkpad IBM x301 For business users, Thinkpad seems to be the way to go. I have also considered Dell Alienware M11x but may not be completely appropriate for business use? What would you recommend with a budget of USD1500-2000?

  We have a desktop Java application running within a Citrix Metaframe server farm and the performance, specially while starting up the app, is very unreliable. Sometimes it takes 15 seconds and sometimes it takes over a minute. It's really unpredicatable. Is there any way to optimize running Java desktop applications within Citrix Metaframe Terminal server sessions to a more reliable performance level? Are there any optimization directed specifically toward Java, such as pre-load JVMs or something like that? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

• Sendmail Failing to Forward Locally Addressed Mail to Exchange Server

  I've recently gained employment as a web developer with a small company. What they neglected to tell me upon hire was that I would be administrating the server along with my other daily duties. Now, truth be told, I'm not clueless when it comes to these things, but this is my first rodeo working with a rack server/console.. However, I'm confident that I will be able to work through any solutions you provide. Short Description: When a customer places an order via our (Magento CE 1.8.1.0) website, a copy of said order is supposed to be BCC'd to our sales manager. I say supposed because this was a working feature before the old administrator left. Long Description: Shortly after I started, we had a server crash which required a server restart. After restart, we noticed a few features on our site weren't working, but all those have been cleaned up except this one. I had to create an account on our server for root access. When a customer places an order, our sites software (Magento CE 1.8.1.0) is configured to BCC the customers order email to our sales manager. We use a Microsoft Exchange 2007 Server for our mail, which is hosted on a different machine (in-house) that I don't have access to ATM, but I'm sure I could if needed. As far as I can tell, all other external emails work.. Only INTERNAL email addresses fail to deliver. I know this because I've also tested my own internal address via our website. I set up an account with an internal email, made a test order, and never received the email. I changed my email for the account to an external GMail account, and received emails as expected. Let's dive into the logs and config's. • Linux software raid fails to include one device for one RAID1 array

  One of my four Linux software raid arrays drops one of its two devices when I reboot my system. The other three arrays work fine. I am running RAID1 on kernel version 2.6.32-5-amd64. Every time I reboot, /dev/md2 comes up with only one device. I can manually add the device by saying $ sudo mdadm /dev/md2 --add /dev/sdc1.   I have setup a Snow Leopard Server 10.6.1 as a PDC without problems to authenticate Windows XP clients. Joining a Windows XP client to the SLS PDC Domain and log in from a Windows XP client to the SLS PDC Domain are working. After the update to Snow Leopard Server 10.6.2 the authentication is broken. opendirectory_smb_pwd_check_ntlmv1 gave -14090 [eDSAuthFailed] By changing the Windows XP "Network security: LAN Manager authentication level" policy to NTVLM2 responses only the authentication agains a SMB share is possible, but trying to join SLS PDC Domain is still not possible. opendirectory_smb_pwd_check_ntlmv2 gave -14090 [eDSAuthFailed] Any ideas? Is anyone else having similar authentication difficulties?
