• SoundManager / Jquery : Get SoundID sID

  So I am trying to access a jquery soundmanager variable from one script (wpaudio.js – from the wp-audio plugin) inside of another (init.js – my own javascript). I am creating an alternate pause/play button higher up on the page and need to resume the current soundID, which is contained as part of a class name in the DOM. Here is the code that creates that class name in wpaudio.js: function wpaButtonCheck() { if (!this.playState || this.paused) jQuery('#' + this.sID + '_play').attr('src', wpa_url + '/wpa_play.png'); else jQuery('#' + this.sID + '_play').attr('src', wpa_url + '/wpa_pause.png'); } Here is the output: <img src="http://24.232.185.173/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wpaudio-mp3-player/wpa_play.png" class="wpa_play" id="wpa0_play"> where wpa0 would be the sID of the sound I need. My current script in init.js is: $('.mixesSidebar #currentSong .playBtn').toggle(function() { soundManager.pauseAll(); $(this).addClass('paused'); }, function() { soundManager.resumeAll(); $(this).removeClass('paused'); }); I need to change resumeAll to "resume(this.sID)", but I need to somehow store the sID onclick and call it in the above function. Alternately, I think a regular expression that could get the class name of the current play button and either parse the string up to the "_play" or use a trim function to get rid of "_play"– but I'm not sure how to do this. Why am I losing the fucntionality of the original base class at this level? Is it incorrect to add the element (button1) to the maskcontainer inside of the main.xaml? My end goal is to create a container that is reusable, but inherits all properties/methods that I've specified throughout the chain. Any help is appreciated.

• Make seems to think a prerequisite is an intermediate file, removes it

  For starters, this exercise in GNU make was admittedly just that: an exercise rather than a practicality, since a simple bash script would have sufficed. However, it brought up interesting behavior I don't quite understand. I've written a seemingly simple Makefile to handle generation of SSL key/cert pairs as necessary for MySQL. My goal was for make <name> to result in <name>-key.pem, <name>-cert.pem, and any other necessary files (specifically, the CA pair if any of it is missing or needs updating, which leads into another interesting follow-up exercise of handling reverse deps to reissue any certs that had been signed by a missing/updated CA cert). After executing all rules as expected, make seems to be too aggressive at identifying intermediate files for removal; it removes a file I thought would be "safe" since it should have been generated as a prereq to the main rule I'm invoking. (Humbly translated, I likely have misinterpreted make's documented behavior to suit my expectation, but don't understand how. ;-) Edited (thanks, Chris!) Adding %-cert.pem to .PRECIOUS does, of course, prevent the deletion. (I had been using the wrong syntax.) • Unable to display wap version during "Extended permission"

  Hi, Im trying to redirect to facebook to request permission to publish stream. However, it only works when i did not specify any display parameters, it shows me a web version of it. I wanted a wap version instead. What should I do?   From what I can understand, once I create a socket, I can then create an array to store it with userArray[socket.nickname]=socket; I can then send a message to it with: io.sockets.socket(userArray[data.to]).emit('private message', tstamp(), socket.nickname, message); The basic logic is to store a copy of each socket in an object, identified by nickname. When I want to send a message to that socket, I use the copy of the socket, and send the message via io.sockets.socket(id).emit().   I'm using the Stack Exchange Data Explorer to learn SQL, but I think the fundamentals of the question is applicable to other databases. I'm trying to query the Badges table, which according to Stexdex (that's what I'm going to call it from now on) has the following schema: Badges Id UserId Name Date This works well for badges like [Epic] and [Legendary] which have unique names, but the silver and gold tag-specific badges seems to be mixed in together by having the same exact name. GROUP BY Id and picking the min/max or first/second by the Date somehow? How can you write a query that lists all the silver badges first then all the gold badges next? Imagine also that the "real" query may be more complicated, i.e. not just listing by date. How would you write it so that it doesn't have too many repetition between the silver and gold subqueries? Is it perhaps more typical to do two totally separate queries instead? What is this idiom called? A row "partitioning" query to put them into "buckets" or something?

• Rails: Custom template for email "deliver_" method?

  I'm building an email system that stores my different emails in the database and calls the appropriate "deliver_" method via method_missing (since I can't explicitly declare methods since they're user-generated). My problem is that my rails app still tries to render the template for whatever the generated email is, though those templates don't exist. I want to force all emails to use the same template (views/test_email.html.haml), which will be setup to draw their formatting from my database records. How can I accomplish this? • How do I Unit Test Actions without Mocking that use UpdateModel?

  I have been working my way through Scott Guthrie's excellent post on ASP.NET MVC Beta 1. In it he shows the improvements made to the UpdateModel method and how they improve unit testing. I have recreated a similar project however anytime I run a UnitTest that contains a call to UpdateModel I receive an ArgumentNullException naming the controllerContext parameter. • Rails: Create method available in all views and all models

  I'd like to define a method that is available in both my views and my models Say I have a view helper: def foo(s) "hello #{s}" end A view might use the helper like this: <div class="data"><%= foo(@user.name) %></div> However, this <div> will be updated with a repeating ajax call. I'm using a to_json call in a controller returns data like so: render :text => @item.to_json(:only => [...], :methods => [:foo]) This means, that I have to have foo defined in my Item model as well: class Item def foo "hello #{name}" end end It'd be nice if I could have a DRY method that could be shared in both my views and my models. Usage might look like this: Helper def say_hello(s) "hello #{s}" end User.rb model def foo say_hello(name) end Item.rb model def foo say_hello(label) end View <div class="data"><%= item.foo %></div> Controller def observe @items = item.find(...) render :text => @items.to_json(:only=>[...], :methods=>[:foo]) end IF I'M DUMB, please let me know.   Hello, There is self - hosted WCF server (Not IIS), and was generated certificates (on the Win Xp) using command line like makecert.exe -sr CurrentUser -ss My -a sha1 -n CN=SecureClient -sky exchange -pe makecert.exe -sr CurrentUser -ss My -a sha1 -n CN=SecureServer -sky exchange -pe These certificates was added to the server code like this: serviceCred.ServiceCertificate.SetCertificate(StoreLocation.LocalMachine, StoreName.My, X509FindType.FindBySubjectName, "SecureServer"); serviceCred.ClientCertificate.SetCertificate(StoreLocation.LocalMachine, StoreName.My, X509FindType.FindBySubjectName, "SecureClient"); After all previous operation I created simple client to check SSL connection to the server. • Using multiple aggregate functions in an (ANSI) SQL statement

  I have aggregate functions foo(), foobar(), fredstats(), barneystats() I want to create a domain specific query language (DSQL) above my DB, to facilitate using a domain language to query the DB. The 'language' comprises of algebraic expressions (or more specifically SQL like criteria) which I use to generate (ANSI) SQL statements which are sent to the db engine. The following lines are examples of what the language statements will look like, and hopefully, it will help further clarify the concept: **Example 1** DQL statement: foobar('yellow') between 1 and 3 and fredstats('weight') > 42 Translation: fetch all rows in an underlying table where computed values for aggregate function foobar() is between 1 and 3 AND computed value for AGG FUNC fredstats() is greater than 42 **Example 2** DQL statement: fredstats('weight') < barneystats('weight') AND foo('fighter') in (9,10,11) AND foobar('green') <> 42 Translation: Fetch all rows where the specified criteria matches **Example 3** DQL statement: foobar('green') / foobar('red') <> 42 Translation: Fetch all rows where the specified criteria matches **Example 4** DQL statement: foobar('green') - foobar('red') >= 42 Translation: Fetch all rows where the specified criteria matches Given the following information: The table upon which the queries above are being executed is called 'tbl' table 'tbl' has the following structure (id int, name varchar(32), weight float) The result set returns only the tbl.id, tbl.name and the names of the aggregate functions as columns in the result set - so for example the foobar() AGG FUNC column will be called foobar in the result set. • Node.js running under IIS Express Keeps Crashing

  I recently resinstalled Windows 7 on my machine and went back to downloading and installing the tools to help me continue developing node.js windows azure web applications. I followed the instructions given on the node.js azure site: http://www.windowsazure.com/en-us/develop/nodejs/ and using web installer 4.0 it says I have successfully installed these tools: Windows Azure Powershell Windows Azure SDK for Node.js - June 2012 Windows Azure SDK for .Net (VS 2012 RC) - June 2012 IIS Recommend Configuration The problem I am experiencing is that when I run the site using powershell e.g: start-azureemulator -launch it goes ahead and runs IIS Express, and after several minutes IIS Express crashes with the following information: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: iisexpress.exe Application Version: 8.0.8298.0 Application Timestamp: 4f620349 Fault Module Name: iiscore.dll Fault Module Version: 8.0.8298.0 Fault Module Timestamp: 4f63b65c Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 00021767 OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.28 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: f66d Additional Information 2: f66d807b515d6b2dc6f28f66db769a01 Additional Information 3: 7b2f Additional Information 4: 7b2f6797d07ebc2c23f2b227e779722e I am running 2 instances each time, and both of them crash one after the other. I've run windows update but it says I've got all the latest updates etc. Can I tell the powershell cmdlet to use IIS 7 instead of IIS Express? I'm guessing its something to do with IIS Express on my machine.   I have a document that looks something like <root> <element> <subelement1 /> <subelement2 /> </element> <element> <subelement2 /> <subelement1 /> </element> </root> In my XSLT sheet in the context of /element[2]/[someNode] I want to get a number that represents the distance of /element[1]/[someNode] (ie, the number of preceding siblings of /element1/[someNode]). For example, in the context of /element[2]/subelement1 I'd like to have some way to get the number 2, the distance from /element[1] to /element[1]/subelement2. I only ever need the distance of the given node name from the first instance of . Intuitively I thought I could construct this like <xsl:variable name="nodename" select="name()" /> <xsl:value-of select="/element[1]/$nodename/preceding-sibling::*" /> but unfortunately this sheet doesn't compile. Is what I'm trying to achieve possible in XSLT?
