• How google handle site traffic in google analytics

  I have a site with address www.exam.com and I have put Google analytics javascript scripts in it. I have made an app for my site, I want that everytime a user uses app, he visit the site in the application with built in browser which is inside the application ( I am using C# for application and .NET web browser ). User will address www.example.com/appvisit in the app and I just have put google analytics scripts in that page and nothing else. And I want to disallow this address /appvisit in my robots.txt file . I want to know that Is there any problem with doing this? will google crawl in the /appvisit directory ? Does google hate this work? and will google think this traffic is true and normal? thanks

• Window management shortcuts?

  I've got a single massive monitor at home, and I've decided to mimic the Windows 7 window tiling shortcuts. I found a few guides online using wmctrl, and it's going well, save one thing: maximized windows don't respond to it. gconftool-2 --type string --set /apps/metacity/keybinding_commands/command_1 "wmctrl -r :ACTIVE: -e 0, 0,0, `xwininfo -root | grep Width | awk '{ print ($2/2)}'`, `xwininfo -root | grep Height | awk '{ print $2 }'`" (I've added line returns to make an otherwise massive one-liner readable.) I've bound this to a hotkey and it works, unless the window is maximized. Any ideas on how to fix this up?

  I occasionally have the need to indent a block of text with spaces for use within a web browser, for example, when formatting a code block on this site or in a post on Launchpad. So far I've just done it by hand by copying four spaces to the clipboard and then mashing keys really fast: ?, Home, Ctrl+V (repeat) What is the quickest way to accomplish this? Copying and pasting to another program? (Which?) A Firefox or Chrome browser extension? A command to directly modify the clipboard contents? An auto-typing program?

• MVC : Does Code to save data in cache or session belongs in controller?

  I'm a bit confused if saving the information to session code below, belongs in the controller action as shown below or should it be part of my Model? • keyboard shortcut editor does not intercept keypresses

  I've been using suckless dwm for years and i really need to make the shortcuts look alike to feel at home ;) On ubuntu oneiric, the keyboard shortcut editor is opened with: system settings - keyboard - shortcuts. The help in the window specifies: 'To edit a shortcut, click the row and hold down the new keys or press backspace to clear' So I select the first row of the 'navigation' section and highlight 'Move window to workspace 1' Then i hold down ctrl+alt+1 for ten seconds but nothing happens. The shortcut still appears as 'disabled'. I'm unable to set any shortcut, i've tried many combinations. For example, a combination with Super key will be intercepted by unity instead of being catched by the keyboard shortcut editor window. Can anybody reproduce this with oneiric ? What am I doing wrong ?

• VBoxManage modifyhd --resize doesn't exist?

  I'm trying to increase the size of a VirtualBox Win7 .vdi disk on Ubuntu 10.04 but when I try executing VBoxManage modifyhd /path/disk.vdi --resize 15360 it returns Syntax error: unknown option: --resize. I'm unsure as to why this is happening because I've used it before and it's still listed under valid options for VBoxManage modifyhd in the VirualBox User Manual . • Adobe Reader issue in Ubuntu 13.10

  I have downloaded adobe reader 9.5.5 and installed it using gdebi.Now if I click on any pdf it is not starting.I tried "acroread" in terminal and it is showing me this error /opt/Adobe/Reader9/Reader/intellinux/bin/acroread: error while loading shared libraries: libxml2.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Then I have installed libxml2.But still it is showing the same above error. My system OS is ubuntu 13.10. Is there any solution to my problem for using Adobe reader or any other alternative pdf reader other than foxit and default(evince) or okular by using which I can highlight any text in my pdf?

  I'm using Ubuntu 12.10 (quantal) and I recently installed Tor (32 bits) following the instructions on the Tor project's page. • Shell script issue: cron job script to Restart MySQL server when it stops accidentally

  I have this script, I am using it to setup CRON job to execute this script, so it can check if MySQL service is running; if not then it restart the MySQL service: #!/bin/bash service mysql status| grep 'mysql start/running' > /dev/null 2>&1 if [ $? != 0 ] then sudo service mysql restart fi I have setup cron job as. sudo crontab -e and then added, */1 * * * * /home/ubuntu/mysql-check.sh Problem is that it restart MySQL on every cron job execution.. even if server is running it restart the MySQL service what is correction in the script to do that.

I need a subversion repository for a couple of projects I'm working on with friends/colleagues, in particular one that: Is cheap; Has an high data storage/transfer limit; Does not have unlimited users (they would be ~10); Does not have public anonymous co capabilities (I don't mind them, but usually they have an influence on the cost). Why don't you just install an SVN server on a machine of yours? Because the remote ones host stuff that is vital to clients, while those we have at home are a mess already. Distributed versioning systems? They're cool and everything, but everybody (in the subset "people-I-would-work-with" knows how to use subversion - and really, the easier the better.

• I tried to transplant the wireless_tools to Android4.0 system, but I have a problem with Java

I have changed some files, such as wireless.22.h, ifrename.c and iwlib.h, in wireless_tools.29/ which is located in Android4.0 root directory. Then I followed these steps: $ cd ~/Android4.0 $ su $[key](change to root) root# source build/envsetup.sh root# cd ~/Android4.0/wireless_tools.2.9/ root# mm Then I got a message telling me that: Your version is: java version "1.7.0_21". The correct version is: Java SE 1.6. Then I did as How can I uninstall my current java and install sun java 1.6 The java was installed successfully, but when i tried mm again: Your version is: java version "1.6.0_27". The correct version is: Java SE 1.6. Then I tried https://source.android.com/source/initializing.html , but it didn't work. How can I install "java SE 1.6." correctly?

• Improve the Quality of ePub eBooks with Sigil

  Would you like to correct errors in your ePub formatted eBooks, or even split them into chapters and create a Table of Contents?  Here’s how you can with the free program Sigil. eBooks are increasingly popular with the rise of eBook readers and reading apps on mobile devices.  We recently showed you how to convert a PDF eBook to ePub format, but as you may have noticed, sometimes the converted file had some glitches or odd formatting.  Additionally, many of the many free ePub books available online from sources like the Project Guttenberg do not include a table of contents.  Sigil is a free application for Windows, OS X, and Linux that lets you edit ePub files, so let’s look at how you can use it to improve your eBooks. Note: Sigil took several moments to open files in our tests, and froze momentarily when we maximized the window.  Sigil is currently pre-release software in active development, so we would expect the bugs to be worked out in future versions.  As usual, only install if you’re comfortable testing pre-release software. Getting Started Download Sigil (link below), making sure to select the correct version for your computer.  Run the installer, and select your preferred setup language when prompted. After a moment the installer will appear; setup as normal. Launch Sigil when it’s finished installing.  It opens with a default blank ePub file, so you could actually start writing an eBook from scratch right here. Edit Your ePub eBooks Now you’re ready to edit your ePub books.  Click Open and browse to the file you want to edit. Now you can double-click any of the HTML or XHTML files on the left sidebar and edit them just like you would in Word. Or you can choose to view it in Code View and edit the actual HTML directly. The sidebar also gives you access to the other parts of the ePub file, such as Images and CSS styles. If your ePub file has a Table of Contents, you can edit it with Sigil as well.  Click Tools in the menu bar, and then select TOC Editor.  Strangely there is no way to create a new table of contents, but you can remove entries from existing one.   Convert TXT Files to ePub Many free eBooks online, especially older, out of copyright titles, are available in plain text format.  One problem with these files is that they usually use hard returns at the end of lines, so they don’t reflow to fill your screen efficiently. Sigil can easily convert these files to the more useful ePub format.  Open the text file in Sigil, and it will automatically reflow the text and convert it ePub.  As you can see in the screenshot below, the text in the eBook does not have hard line-breaks at the end of each line, and will be much more readable on mobile devices. Note that Sigil may take several moments opening the book, and may even become unresponsive while analyzing it.   Now you can edit your eBook, split it into chapters, or just save it as is.  Either way, make sure to select Save as to save your book as ePub format. Conclusion As mentioned before, Sigil seems to run slow at times, especially when editing large eBooks.  But it’s still a nice solution to edit and extend your ePub eBooks, and even convert plain text eBooks to the nicer ePub format.  Now you can make your eBooks work just like you want, and read them on your favorite device!   Possible Duplicate: My Sites Were Hacked. What To Do? A few of my joomla sites were hacked. After I became aware of this, I did these things: Changed hosting passwords (mysql, ftp, control panel) Renamed joomla admin user name to "admin" in users table (Hacker had changed the user name how?) Upgraded joomla latest Added php.ini root directory of host. Disabled cgi access But the site is still hacked. I checked up on the index.php file and owerwrite original index.php but the site is still hacked. How is this possible?

• Dual Boot ubuntu 12.04 and Windows 7 on two separate SSDs with UEFI

  With the following setup I get a blinking cursor after installation: Windows 7 64bit installed in first SSD (not UEFI, using MBR) Installation of Ubuntu 12.04 64Bit on gpt partioned disk seems to work without problems but does not boot. It stops with a blinking cursor. I used the partitioning scheme described here. Partitioning scheme: sdb1 efi boot partition fat32 sdb2 root btrfs sdb3 home btrfs sdb4 swap Is it possible to mix uefi BIOS with MBR and gpt when using two separate SSDs? I tried grub2 into a MBR as well but it would not install there...

  Windows 8 has a new feature that allows you to automatically run scheduled daily maintenance on your computer. These maintenance tasks run in the background and include security updating and scanning, Windows software updates, disk defragmentation, system diagnostics, among other tasks. We’ve previously shown you how to automate maintenance in Windows 7, Vista, and XP. Windows 8 maintenance is automatic by default and the performance and energy efficiency has been improved over Windows 7. The program for Windows 8 automatic maintenance is called MSchedExe.exe and it is located in the C:\Windows\System32 directory. We will show you how you can change the automatic maintenance settings in Windows 8 and how you can start and stop the maintenance manually.   With the 11gR1 release, SALT now supports Web services transactions (WS-TX). In a nutshell, the SALT 11gR1 Web services gateway (GWWS) now supports bi-directional transactional interoperability. What this means is that Tuxedo application services can now be invoked in global transaction context using Web services. This feature is natural to a product like Tuxedo given its history as transaction processing monitor and its significant contribution to the X/Open (now the Open Group) XA specification. We implemented Web Services Coordination (WS-COOR) and Web Services Atomic Transaction (WS-AT). We also tested and certified with WebLogic Server 11gR1 and Microsoft WCF 3.5 (.Net Framework).
