    I am trying to use Hibernate pagination for my query (PostgreSQL ) i set setFirstResult(0), setMaxResults(20) for my sql query. My code like below: Session session = getSessionFactory().getCurrentSession(); session.beginTransaction(); Query query = session.createQuery("select id , customer_name , address from tbl_customers "); query.setFirstResult(0); query.setMaxResults(20); List<T> entities = query.list(); session.getTransaction().commit(); but when viewing SQL hibernate log, i still see full sql query: Hibernate: select customer0_.id as id9_, customer0_.customer_name as dst2_9_, customer0_.addres as dst3_9_ from tbl_customers customer0_ Why there is no LIMIT OFFSET in query of Hibernate pagination SQL log? Does anyone know about Hibernate pagination mechanism? I guess that Hibernate will select all data, put data into Resultset, and then paging in Resultset, right?

Whereas if I write $('#selectlist1').hide(); it works for all browser. Any pointer where should I look at?

    I'm building an application that contains a bunch of projects that are at various stages, and I need to list the completed projects, or the projects that are at various other stages. So to list the completed projects, I name a scope; named_scope :current, :conditions => { :current_stage => "Completed" } and use; @projects = Project.current in my controller. But I how do I find all the projects at other stages? I thought it would involve != but I can't get that to work. Any pointers very much appreciated. Thanks a lot

    I am trying to make simple list with ability to add and delete elements. For now I am working on adding and performing a simple action on each of list elements object (existing and added). Unfortunately I have met some difficulties with that. I am able to modify objects that are created at the beginning, but not one added during "webpage working". First of all my idea was to add AJAX to this, but I don't think it is the easiest way. I think that some time ago (I don't remember where) I read how to make this work, but now I don't know. I would be really glad if someone would help me with this or at least give a link to good explanation of this. I was wondering instead of using a for loop to generate a sequence to element which are multiplied with every other element in the list how can I use a Seq map function or something similar to generate something like below. So for e.g. I have a list [1..10] I would like to apply a fun which generates a result something like [(1*1); (1*2);(1*3); (1*4); (1*5)......(2*1);(2*2);(2*3).....(3*1);(3*2)...] How can i achieve this ?.     I have a Windows XP machine that runs two applications and both print on a thermal printer connected by a serial port. For one application, the "Generic / Text Only" printer must be present, for the other to work I need to remove it. I've found a few .vbs scripts, but they are for network printer. How do I make them work with my local printer? Is there a better solution? The user would have to run the script every time he needs to switch from an application to another.

  • Put empty spaces in an SQL select

    I'm having difficulty creating a month-count select query in SQL. Basically, I have a list of entries, all of which have a date associated with them. What I want the end result to be, is a list containing 12 rows (one for each month), and each row would contain the month number (1 for January, 2 for February, etc), and a count of how many entries had that month set as it's date. Something like this: Month - Count 1 - 12 2 - 0 3 - 7 4 - 0 5 - 9 6 - 0 I can get an result containing months that have a count of higher than 0, but if the month contains no entries, the row isn't created. I get this result just by doing SELECT Month(goalDate) as monthNumber, count(*) as monthCount FROM goalsList WHERE Year(goalDate) = 2012 GROUP BY Month(goalDate) ORDER BY monthNumber Thanks in advance for the help!

    I am wondering if it is possible to to resubmit a form with a button click that calls up a javascript command. So this is basically what I'm trying to do - page 1: form; action = page2.php page 2: generate a randomized list according to parameters set by page 1 I would like to place a button on page 2 so that on click, it would be as if the user has hit F5, and a new list would be generated with the same parameters. I found a lot of help on Google with people trying NOT to get this to happen, but I'm not sure how to actually get it to happen..... Thank you!

I have checked other questions, but either they have no answers or they told about previous Ubuntu version with 3.0.x kernels. A USB 2.0 device will work in the USB 3.0 ports. A USB 3.0 device will work (at USB 2.0 speeds) in the USB 2.0 ports. The problem, as I wrote, is between USB 3.0 devices and USB 3.0 ports. I have my USB 3.0 ports configured without legacy support via the BIOS (the way they should be, I suppose). But I also have tried to configure them with XHCI Preboot mode disabled. Have any one solved a similar problem? Thanks in advance.

  • Error while installing vmware tools v8.8.2 in Ubuntu 12.04 beta

    I just upgraded to Ubuntu 12.04 from 11.10 using update manager. I use it as virtual machine on VMWare Player 4.xx. As usual I installed vmware tools to enable full screen mode and shared folder functionality. But while installing I got an error while building modules for shared folder and fast networking utilities for vmware tools.     http://localhost:8080/manager/html gives a 404 error on apt-get install of tomcat6 (6.0.28 on JVM 1.6.0_20-b20 on 2.6.35-27-generic amd64). http://localhost:8080/host-manager/html works. Lists one Host name, localhost. Installed tomcat6-admin with apt-get. $ ls dpkg -l | grep -i tomcat6-admin ii tomcat6-admin 6.0.28-2ubuntu1.1 Servlet and JSP engine -- admin web applications $ cat /usr/share/tomcat6/conf/tomcat-users.xml <tomcat-users> <role rolename="admin"/> <role rolename="manager" /> <user username="tomcatuser" password="Password1" roles="admin,manager"/> </tomcat-users> $ cat /usr/share/tomcat6/conf/Catalina/localhost/manager.xml <Context path="/manager" docBase="/usr/share/tomcat6-admin/manager" antiResourceLocking="false" privileged="true" /> <role name="manager" /> <user name="manager" password="Password1" roles="manager" /> <user name="tomcatuser" password="Password1" roles="manager" /> Those two files are the only documentation I've seen on how to setup the Manager webapp, and they seem to be compliant with the requirements.
