For more information, contact your system administrator." When I RDP into the server and try Microsoft CRM Workflow Manager/Monitor with http or https connectivity, it doesn't work. "The specified Microsoft CRM server is not responding. This might happen if it is currently unavaliable, it is not a Microsoft CRM server, or you are not a valid user. Contact your sys-admin." This is a Microsoft CRM v3.0 / Microsoft SQL server 2005 box, Active directory is on a seperate box.. When I right click Microsoft CRM Worlkflow Service, properties, log on: it shows "crmtestuser" and a password. I did not RDP or try logging in as that crmtestuser, but I am Admin... Could this be a clue? What can I try?

• Sharepoint: Is there a maximum number of permission levels?

  Hi, I get an error when trying to add a new permission level that due to a "contingency limit" I cannot add another permission level. I should delete an existing one and try again. (Sorry, no original error msg as this originates from a German WSS install, hence this is just a translation). There are about 1000 permission levels already. I know about Sharepoint's (WSS 2007 / WSS3) limitations relating to security principals like explained here, but I don't know of any limitations relating to permission levels. Is there any way to group the permission levels? I need as much as 2000 permission levels as there are many constellations of access rights per group.

  @Autowired works only once. What to do to make it wire the bean every time the Servlet is recreated? My web-app (Tomcat6 container) consists of 2 Servlets. Every servlet has private fields. Their setters are marked with @Autowired In the init method I use WebApplicationContextUtils ... autowireBean(this); It autowires the properties marked with @Autowired once - during the initialization of the Servlet. Any other session will see these fields values, they will not be rewired after the previous session is destroyed. What to do to make them rewire them each time a Servlet constructor is called? a) Put the autowiring into the constructor? Or better 2) get a web app context and extract a bean from there?

  Hi, I am using SBCL with slime, and have the following code: (swank::eval-in-emacs '(with-current-buffer (slime-repl-buffer) (insert (propertize "foo" 'font-lock-face '(:foreground "red"))))) (print "here is some text") In general if I try to execute anything with swank:: prefixed to it emacs will give a security error, and this particular one tells me I need to set slime-enable-evaluate-in-emacs to true. Where is this value? I haven't been able to find a slime or swank config. & settings file. Thanks much.

• Unit Testing, IDataContext and Stored Procedures via Linq

  hey folks, I'm currently using Stephen Walther's approach to unit testing Linq to SQL and the datacontext (http://stephenwalther.com/blog/archive/2008/08/17/asp-net-mvc-tip-33-unit-test-linq-to-sql.aspx) which is working a treat for all things linq. My Dal layer takes in an IDataContext, I use DI (via Unity) to concrete that up as the correct DataContext object and all works well. But - we have a company policy here of writes going via Stored Procs. Has anyone come up with a solution for mocking/faking the data context and still allowing stored procs to effectively be unit tested? I've got no real experience of any of the mocking frameworks (Rhino etc.) so if these are the correct means of doing this, I'd love some pointers on guides for them. Many thanks, Terry

  I'm developing a web app and I've come to a fork in the road with respect to database structure and I don't know which direction to take. I have a database with user information that I can structure one of two ways. The first is to create a schema and a set of tables for each user (duplicating the structure for each user) and the second is to create a single set of tables and query information based on user-id. Suppose 100000 users. Here are my questions: Considering security, performance, scalability and administration where does each choice lie? Would the answers change for 1000000 or 10000? Is there a set of best practices that lead to one choice or the other? It seems to me that multiple schemas are more secure since it's trivial to restrict user privileges but what about performance and scalability? Administration seems like a wash since dumping (and restoring) lots of schemas isn't any more difficult than dumping a few.

  Hi, I have a website A.com and a domain at B.com with a widget inside an iframe getting data from A.com. I want to allow x-domain cookies to be passed from a.com to inside the iframe using ASP.NET My understanding is that - I can do this in IE using P3P Headers - such that the A.com cookie is passed to the iframe and session | cookie data is preserved. The P3P headers have to be sent from the A.com and from the iframe. Is this correct ? In dev, my understanding is if I "accept all cookies" in IE - then P3P headers won't matter anyway and so this should all just work. If I put on Medium Security then P3P is required.

But when I close terminal window (log off), of course, CentOS Linux kills my program. I see two guesses: run from a different user in background or make a daemon. I need help in each situation. • Drupal 6 - Including a module form in a view

  I'm making use of the Favorites module, in order to allow my users to favorite nodes they like. Currently, I know that there is a block available for listing out the favorites, along with the 'Add to favorites' button at the top of this list. What I'd like to do is generate the form which includes the button, and include it within each node that I generate. I'd gotten it hacked up and quickly working by copying the generated form and placing it in my views-view--fields-.tpl.php template, however I believe that doing it this way goes against the thought behind Drupal, and probably introduces security issues with the form_id and form_token being hand-written. I've attempted to call the get_form function, and have passed it the form_id that I found in the generated form code, however I can't get Drupal to recognize it. From some Googling I've noticed that generating module forms programmatically may require a hook, but I haven't been able to find any good examples of this. What is the best way to go about creating this form?

  I'd like to "Stretch" a UIView to the right side, meaning increase it's frame.size.width by foo pixels and at the same time decreasing it's frame.origin.x by foo pixels, using [UIView beginAnimations] syntax. However, if I do that, when the animation begins the view immediately resizes, and then starts the animation for the origin. CGRect currFrame = someView.frame; currFrame.size.width += 100; currFrame.origin.x -= 100; [UIView beginAnimations:@"Anim1" context:nil]; someView.frame = currFrame; [UIView setAnimationDuration:0.7]; [UIView commitAnimations]; I've also tried breaking the animation down to 2 parts but then I can't keep the right position in place. Any help is much appreciated!

  I'm developing on the Droid Incredible (and have tested on a 1.5 AVD Emulator as well), and one of the tabs in my tab widget consists of a listview and a row with an EditText and a Send button (for a chat feature). I am using the following to close the soft keyboard once I click Send, but it's not working. This is identical to code I've found elsewhere that people have upvoted as correct.   Hello, after my last project I had the problem that the client was expecting an object from the server, but while processing the clients input an exception that forces the server to close the socket for security reasons is caught. This causes the client to terminate in a very unpleasant way, the way I decided to deal with this was sending the client a Input status message after each recieved input so that he knows if his input was processed properly or if he needs to throw an exception. So my question: Is there a better/cleaner way to close the socket after an exception is caught?? thanks,

• Preventing Rails from opening production.log, when it is deployed with jruby-rack into tomcat.

  I have to to deploy a Ruby on Rails application to an tomcat application server using jruby-rack. Due to security reasons my customer has the webapps directory mounted read only and he won't changed this. The problem that arises is, that the rails logger wants to open the WEB-INF/log/production.log in write mode. He writes nothing to this file because log4j and friends are configured and working, but rails complains that the file is not readable. Are there any suggestions from preventing rails from opening this file?

• Which Cortex-M3 interrupts can I use for general purpose work?

  I'd have some code that needs to be run as the result of a particular interrupt going off. I don't want to execute it in the context of the interrupt itself but I also don't want it to execute in thread mode. I would like to run it at a priority that's lower than the high level interrupt that precipitated its running but also a priority that higher than thread level (and some other interrupts as well). I think I need to use one of the other interrupt handlers. Which ones are the best to use and what the best way to invoke them? At the moment I'm planning on just using the interrupt handlers for some peripherals that I'm not using and invoking them by setting bits directly through the NVIC but I was hoping there's a better, more official way.   I am using jaxb for my application configurations I feel like I am doing something really crooked and I am looking for a way to not need an actual file or this transaction.   I'm having problems installing development machine for Sharepoint (Foundation) 2010. This is what I did so far on the same machine: Installed a clean Windows 7 x64 with 4GB of RAM without being part of any domain. Just a simple standalone machine. Enabled IIS related features as described here except IIS6 related ones (two of them) Installed SQL Server 2008 R2 Development Edition (DB Engine and Writer being enabled but not SQL Agent) Installed Visual Studio 2010 Premium Started installing Sharepoint Foundation 2010 with first extracting files, changing config to enable Windows 7 installation and then installed it as Server Farm (then Complete) to avoid installing SQL Express. Created a separate SPF_CONFIG local user with Logon on as a service right. Opened SPF Management Shell and run New-SPConfigurationDatabase so I am able to use a non-domain username (SPF_CONFIG that I created in the previous step) But all I get is this: The outcome after this error is: Database Sharepoint2010Config is created User SPF_CONFIG is added to SQL Server and attached to this newly created database as dbowner and checking SQL server security logins this user has following rights: dbcreator securityadmin public

  Over the connections that most people in the USA have in their homes, what is the approximate length of time to send a list of 200,000 integers from a client's browser to an internet sever (say Google app engine)? Does it change much if the data is sent from an iPhone? How does the length of time increase as the size of the integer list increases (say with a list of a million integers) ? Context: I wasn't sure if I should write code to do some simple computations and sorting of such lists for the browser in javascript or for the server in python, so I wanted to explore this issue of how long it takes to send the output data from a browser to a server over the web in order to help me decide where (client's browser or app engine server) is the best place for such computations to be processed.

• Don't see Clean solution option in Visual Studio

  For one of the solutions, I don't see the Clean Solution option neither in the context menu when I right click on the solution name in the Solution Explorer nor in the Build menu. When I make any changes to the project and debug, VS never hits the break point and I get the "The breakpoint will not currently be hit. The source code is different from the original version." message. My understanding is that I need to clean the solution. For other solutions, I do see the Clean solution and I don't have the same issue.

• How can I use a value from a session variable as part of the group name in signalR

  Hi I am trying to set up signalR to distribute messages to web users the problem is that the one site holds different 'areas' and also 'user types'. The Area is decided when the user visits the site by passing a url parameter, this is then stored in a session variable, The 'user type' is by default not logged in then changed when the user logs in to there user type (returned from a webservice) and stored in a User object. My aim was to connect to the hub using signalR when the user visits the site and add the users connectionId to a groupname, using the 'area id' from the session and the 'user type id' from the User object in the context. The problem I am having is that I can obtain the user id but when it comes to the area id signalR cannot access the session. I understand the reasoning behind not allowing the session available in signalR but does any one know if there is a way to enable this or an alternative way that I can gain access to the users area so that I can create these unique groups.

• Java HotSpot 1.6 VM, Garbage Collection - Scary PermGen

  Hi, My app shows rising 'Old Generation'/'Tenured Generation' size, and when this reaches the max limit for 'Old Gen', then suddenly PermGen size increases. Here are my generation sizings: -Xmx1200m -Xms1200m -Xmn450m -XX:MaxPermSize=600m -XX:+UseParallelGC This is on 32 bit Fedora so can't have a bigger heap than this. The app is not doing any fancy classloading, though it is using Spring IOC and Hibernate, the Spring App-context.xml defines some 1000 Beans. This app starts with 175MB PermGen, which steadily increases to ~250MB in few hrs, stays that way till Tenured Generation reached ~780 MB, then permgen jumps to ~500MB while Old Gen drops to ~500MB. This forces me to restart the App on daily basis, and gives me real scare of looming OutOfMemory Error.. Any insights would be very helpful. Thanks Gala101
