• Password Protected Wordpress MU

  I have a MU site related to Doctors and they will be publishing information that I cannot let outside sources and robots view. Is there a way that when you go to the main domain url, it shows a user/pass login for WP. I would set up the user/pass in the backend. Then they would login, then be able to view the website? I can't have it load up for anyone, I need the website to be password protected to even view the website in general. I know I can use .htaccess to have a user/pass, but it would be ideal to use the user/pass generated by WP so I don't have to mess with code when I create a user. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

• Flex Force Decimal

  Hi, I'm looking for a regex or a way to format the NumberValidator so that only decimal places are allowed. The domain="real" allows you to put integer values, but I need to force the user to but in 2.0 if they want an integer. This is because they pass through a Castor mapping file, it complains if it gets an integer when it expects a decimal. I dont want to restrict the number of decimal places, just insist that there must be a point, and a number after it. Any help would be much appreciated.

• Free for personal use license?

  I'm trying desperately to find a software licensing model that would allow me to make my product completely open to the public domain for personal use/modification, but would be able to be sold commercially. I know such a beast exists, and I'm sure in many flavors. I just can't find it. ;( What I'm hoping for is a way to allow people the opportunity to benefit from the product in an "open source" fashion, while still allowing me to have a revenue on it to be able to continue development full time.   I would like to add up and down voting to my iPhone appilcation - MyStacks, for this I need the to be able to authenticate the user with SO. I'm look at adapting the Twitter-OAuth-iPhone library. However The problem I have is obtaining the consumer and secret key. to use OAuth, do I need to obtain a different key for each provider? In order to obtain a consumer key from google the application needs to have a domain name, but this being an iPhone app of course i don't have one, does this mean that I can't use OAuth? Is there any other way to programatically authenticate SO? Thanks, Ben

• Insert an ajaxified Webpart into an existing MOSS site

  Hi everybody, I need to code a webpart which purpose is to asynchronously fetch some documents and display them into an existing page. Unfortunately I have to face a lot of rescritcions and my struggle to find a solution seems useleess so far. 1) I cannot use Microsoft asp.net ajax 2) I must use Jsonp because the called service (page, whatever...) is outside the site's domain. That's not a big problem. 3) I have no possibility to alter the existing page code, so I cannot reference an external library such as JQuery. 4) For the same reason I have no possibility to call my methods on the window.onLoad event, so here the question is: how can I be sure that everything is correctly loaded before triggering my ajax call? 5) Since several instances of the same webpart can be placed into the same page, can there be some possible conflicts among the various js functions?

• Options for keeping models and the UI in sync (in a desktop application context)

  In my experience I have only had 2 patterns work for large-scale desktop application development when trying to keep the model and UI in sync. 1-An eventbus approach via a shared eventbus command objects are fired (ie:UserDemographicsUpdatedEvent) and have various parts of the UI update if they are bound to the same user object updated in this event. 2-Attempt to bind the UI directly to the model adding listeners to the model itself as needed. I find this approach rather clunky as it pollutes the domain model. Does anybody have other suggestions? In a web application with something like JSP binding to the model is easy as you ussually only care about the state of the model at the time your request comes in, not so in a desktop type application. Any ideas?

• Flashing window in gnu screen

  I really like gnu screen but there is a problem in my environment when I use it. Examle: username@domain:/var/www$ l Display all 130 possibilities? (y or n) when you click [Tab] to perform autocompletion there is a screen flashing for a very short period of time(looks like white screen but I can see it for a very-very short time). There isn't any problems with that when I execute the same action in normal/non-screen environment. • Apache mod_rewrite and multiple domains

  Hi, I'm trying to use mod_rewrite to map multiple domains to different servlets on one host. Example: www.dom1.com - 192.168.1.n/dom1 www.dom2.com - 192.168.1.n/dom2 ... I'm using the mod_rewrite and mod_proxy and directive but it seems that the reverse mapping via ProxyPassReverse doesn't work as I expected. ProxyPassReverse /subdomain.domain.com http://192.168.1.n/subdomain doesn't work. I've turned rewrite-logging on with RewriteLog /var/log/rewrite.log From the logs I'd say that rewriting works and the problem seems to be with reverse mapping. However I can't see any Reverse mapping entries. It seems that reverse mapping isn't logged or needs a different command to be activated. (Apache and the servlet container are on different machines but this should not matter I'd think ?)

• Using Google Apps gmail with Symfony nahomail plugin

  My boss asks me to update a domain to adopt Google Apps, now everything has been done except the website is still not updated to use the Google Apps gmail server. The website is running on Symfony 1.4.x but it is not the latest 1.4.x version, and it does not have Swiftmailer included. It now sends email (e.g. user registration confirm email) using the nahomail plugin. Now I would like to make it send email using the Google Apps gmail server. The website is going to be abandoned after a few months, for simplicity, I am going to do an update directly on the production server and so I am trying to avoid as many trial-and-errors as possible. I wonder if anyone is actually using this plugin and can share the nahomail settings for gmail server that has been working nicely. Many thanks to you all.

• Hibernate Lazy initialization exception problem with Gilead in GWT 2.0 integration

  Hello, I use GWT 2.0 as UI layer on my project. On server side, I use Hibernate. For example, this is 2 domains entities that I have : public class User { private Collection<Role> roles; @ManyToMany(cascade = CascadeType.ALL, fetch = FetchType.LAZY, mappedBy = "users", targetEntity = Role.class) public Collection<Role> getRoles() { return roles; } ... } public class Role { private Collection<User> users; @ManyToMany(cascade = CascadeType.ALL, fetch = FetchType.LAZY, targetEntity = User.class) public Collection<User> getUsers() { return users; } ... } On my DAO layer, I use UserDAO that extends HibernateDAOSupport from Spring. UserDAO has getAll method to return all of Users. And on my DAO service, I use UserService that uses userDAO to getAll of Users. So, when I get all of Users from UsersService, Users entities returned are detached from Hibernate session. For that reason, I don't want to use getRoles() method on Users instance that I get from my service. What I want is just to transfer my list of Users thanks to a RPC Service to be able to use others informations of Users in client side with GWT. Thus, my main problem is to be able to convert PersistentBag in Users.roles in simple List to be able to transfer via RPC the Users. To do that, I have seen that Gilead Framework could be a solution. In order to use Gilead, I have changed my domains entities. Now, they extend net.sf.gilead.pojo.gwt.LightEntity and they respect JavaBean specification. On server, I expose my services via RPC thanks to GwtRpcSpring framework (http://code.google.com/p/gwtrpc-spring/). This framework has an advice that makes easier Gilead integration.   I have a component with a number of properties that have various attributes Normally when these attributes are added to a plain old domain object they are picked up by my custom AttributeConventions. For the Component properties they are not. • Manually inserting varbinary data into SQL Server

  Hi, We have a SQL Server table for user settings. Originally the settings were domain objects which had been serialized as XML into the table but we recently begun serializing them as binary. However, as part of our deployment process we statically pre-populate the table with predefined settings for our users. Originally, this was as simple as copying the XML from a customized database and pasting it into an INSERT statement that was ran after the database was built. However, since we've moved to storing the settings as binary data we can't get this to work. How can we extract binary data from a varbinary column in SQL Server and paste it into a static INSERT script? We only want to use SQL for this, we don't want to use any utilities. • CSS Centering Issue - Div Centering appx 15px too far to the right

  I have a theme that I'm modifying for my site. I currently have it live on my test domain while I tinker with it before launch. http://www.networkgenius.org The #content-wrap div is centering, but too far to the right for some reason. I've absolutely no idea why it's doing this, especially since everything else is centering properly. What is the problem? I did add a 15px padding to the content-wrap area as I've changed the body's background color to the grey that you see and obviously didn't want the text pressed right up against the edges of the wrapper. • MSI installer custom action identity problem

  Hi, I'm creating a custom action that executes a script on a database. The problem is that the connectios uses intergrated security, so when I try to open the connection i get the error: Login Failed for user 'Domain\ComputerName$'. When i check the identity on the custom action (using System.Security.Principal.WindowsIdentity.GetCurrent()) I always get "NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM" but I'm running the installer under my account which has enough privileges on the Database. How can I run the custom action under the real user runnig the msi file or solve this problem in any other way?

• How to verify mail origin?

  I wish to code a little service where I will be able to send an e-mail to a specific address used by my server to send specific commands to my server. I'll check against a list of permitted e-mail addresses to make sure no one unauthorized will send a command to the server, but how do I make sure that, say, an e-mail sent by "[email protected]" really comes from "thezombie.net"? I thought about checking the header for the original e-mail server's IP and pinging the domain to make sure it is the same, but would that be reliable? Example: Server receives a command from [email protected] [email protected] is authorized, proceed with checks Server checks "thezombie.net"'s IP from the header: W.X.Y.Z Server pings "thezombie.net" for it's IP: A.B.C.D The IPs do not correspond, do not process command Is there any better way to do that?

But Problem i am facing is: New Document library are not visible in site. I tried with comparing Field Value of Both Visible and No-Visible Document library. Difference i found is : Visible Library (Created Manually) doesn't contain Version value. were as it it present in library which are created by this code. Can you help me out in this?

This isn't a single form, but a collection of forms with interdependencies (i.e., field X on form Y is needed if field A was equal to C on form B), and variable length lists (please provide the details for all Xs in your possession). I had a look at the marketing on Microsoft InfoPath and Adobe LiveCycle, but I get the impression that they're principally electronic forms solutions rather than data collection tools. (e.g., If a user has entered their address once, they should never have to see it on a form again). Any suggestions of good tools, applications or domain-specific languages?

  Hi All, Sorry about the wording for my question title. I have a basic HTML anchor tag that when clicked it is suppose to bring up a dialog box to download a file from a differnt website. I am using an attribute of target="_blank" so that when my hyperlink is clicked, I don't navigate away from my main window. This is all the easy part (if it was so easy I wouldnt be here though). When I do the above though, and click on the hyperlink, an annoying blank window pops up with my download dialog box behind it. How do I get rid of that annoying blank window and keep only my download dialog box on the screen?   I have a rewrite that nginx calls like so: location ~* (css)$ { rewrite ^(.*),(.*)$ /min/index.php?f=$1,/min/$2 last; } And it's used on pages like this: http://domain.com/min/framework.css,dropdown.css Works all fine and dandy, but it's not scalable. Adding another element to the URL means I have to directly edit the nginx config. Ideally, I'd like to have nginx rewrite according to how many comma-delimited parameters are passed through the URL, rather than setting a fixed amount in the config. Is this possible?

• Mootools not loading fast enough IE6

  Very random and annoying problem with IE6. We keep our common JS files on a resources server so we only have to update them in one place. As well as our custom classes we also keep our build of mootools and more on the resources server and link to it in the head of our sites. This is fine in all the browsers accept IE6. In IE6 it seems to not loads the core quick enough from the external link before trying to process the mootools code in my site.js file. It will go wrong on the first line "windows.addEvent". If i put a mootools core in a folder where the site is though its fine. Does anyone know why it might be doing this and if so a way around it, but still keeping the files on the resources domain? • How do I use SimpleRepository without the migration approach?

  I am evaluating SubSonic for use in Phase 2 of a large project. This is an ASP.NET project, with 700 tables in a SQL Server database. We are planning for our domain model to consist of POCO classes to assist with an offline access requirements we have. I believe that the SimpleRepository pattern would be among my best options. Since I have a database already, however, the migration assistance doesn't help me. Are there T4 templates for SimpleRepository that I just overlooked? How do I 'turn off' migration? If I missed something in the Wiki, point me there, otherwise get me started and I'll write up a Wiki entry for y'all when we get there.
