• FileNotFound Exception when using TestDriven.NET and NUnit

  I'm Writing a simple pong game in C# and XNA 4.0 to learn unit testing. The tools used are TestDriven.NET and NUnit, all newest versions. The problem is, if I test the code with VS2010 internal debugger, everything runs fine, but when I use "Run Test(s)" from menu, the application chokes with error: Test 'WindowsGame1.Game1.TestGameMenu' failed: Microsoft.Xna.Framework.Content.ContentLoadException : Error loading "SpaceBackground". File not found. ----> System.IO.FileNotFoundException : Error loading "Content\SpaceBackground.xnb". File not found. (some more below...) So it stops when the first textre is going to be loaded. • Using sphinx to create context sensitive html help

  Hi all, I am currently using AsciiDoc (http://www.methods.co.nz/asciidoc/) for documenting my software projects because it supports pdf and html help generation. I am currently running it through cygwin so that the a2x tool chain functions properly. This works well for me but is a pain to setup on other windows computers. I have been looking for alternative methods and recently revisited Sphinx. Noticing that it now produces html help files I gave it a try and it seems to work well in the small tests I performed. My question is, is there a way to specify map id's for context sensitive help in the text so that my windows programs can call the proper help api and the file is launched and opened to the desired location? In AsciiDoc I am using "pass::[]". By using these constructs a context.h and alias.h are generated along with the other html help files (context sensitive help information).

However, when the while-loop gets stepped into, it won't break out of the loop when everything has been printed to the console and there is nothing else to read.   Hi! Im trying to implement a progressive download audio player for the iphone, ie using http and fixed size mp3-files. I found the AudioStreamer project but it seems very complicated and works best with endless streams. I need to be able to find out the total length of audiofiles and I also need to be able to seek in the files. • Using git branches for variations of a project

  I'm using git's branching feature to manage 5 variations of a small website. There are 5 versions that will all be live in different subdirectories on production. My approach to checking out the various branches to their respective folders was to: mkdir foo && cd foo git init git remote add origin git@...:project.git git fetch origin foo:foo Where "foo" is a given branch name. This was fine, except for that it pulled my entire repo (designs, as3 source, etc...) into those branch folders instead of just the public www folder, which is the only thing I really want on production. Is there a cleaner way to handle this? Git can't clone subdirectories right?

  Hello I am looking into authenticating via google. I dont understand how it works:http://code.google.com/apis/accounts/docs/OpenID.html#Samples If i do that 2nd request by entering the data as one url with params into browser i get back XML file. Should i not get back sample response nr3? Can somebody explain this to me? The problem is, that im trying to sort through some third party app that uses google openid authentication and its not recieving authenticated users e-mail back, like in sample response 3. • C builder RAD 2010 RTL/VCL Application->Terminate() Function NOT TERMINATING THE APPLICATION

  Hello, I have problem descriebed also here: http://www.delphigroups.info/3/9/106748.html I have tryed almost all forms of placing Application-Terminate() func everywhere in the code, following and not 'return 0', 'ExitProcess(0)', 'ExitThread(0)', exit(0). None working variant closes the app. Instead the code after Application-Terminate() statement is running. I have two or more threads in the app. I tryed calling terminate func in created after execution threads and in main thread. Also this is not related (as i can imagine) with CodeGuard / madExcept (i have turned it off and on, no effect). CodeGuard turning also did not do success. What i should do to terminate all the threads in c builder 2010 application and then terminate the process? Thank you.

  this seems to be a reoccurring issue: we receive a bug report for our software and with it tons of traces or logfiles. since finding errors is much easier when having a visualization of the log messages/events over time it is convenient to use a tool that can display the progression of events in a graph etc. (e.g. wireshark (http://www.wireshark.org) for analyzing network traffic) what tool do you use for such a purpose? the problem with most tools i used so far is that they mercilessly break down when you feed them huge data traces ( 1GB) so some criteria for such a tool would be: can deal with huge input files ( 1 GB) is really fast (so you don't have to get coffee while a file is loading) has some sort of filtering mechanism

• Cant access log files in production.

  I was trying to run my application and check for some output on the production.log. However Rails throws this error. Apache log Rails Error: Unable to access log file. Please ensure that /var/www/somefolder/someapp/log/production.log exists and is chmod 0666. The log level has been raised to WARN and the output directed to STDERR until the problem is fixed. I have performed the necessary chmod 666 production.log to make it work but I realized that the file is under root access. So my file permissions are -rw-rw-rw- 1 root root 20845 2010-03-18 01:18 production.log Im not sure how to allow Rails to access this file. Im fairly new to managing linux production env so I request you to excuse my ignorance.

• android custom map marker bounds

  Hello i am using a resized version of this marker( http://www.clker.com/clipart-orange-pin-4.html ) for showing markers in google maps on android. The problem is i don't know how to make the marker point match the coordinates. • How can I force asp.net webapi to always decode POST data as JSON

  I getting some json data posted to my asp.net webapi, but the post parameter is always coming up null - the data is not being serialized correctly. The method looks something like this: public HttpResponseMessage Post(string id, RegistrationData registerData) It seems the problem is that the client (which I have no control over) is always sending the content-type as x-www-form-urlencoded, even though the content is actually json. This causes mvc to try to deserialize as form data, which fails. Is there anyway to get webapi to always deserialize as json, and to ignore the content-type header?

  I've recently started to use SQLite and began to integrate it into a C# project I'm working on. However, randomly my project will throw the exception: Input array is longer than the number of columns in this table I'm having a hard time trying the trace the problem because it seems to be thrown on a random basis. • Screen scrape a web page that uses javaScript and frames

  Hi, I want to scrape data from www.marktplaats.nl . I want to analyze the scraped description, price, date and views in Excel/Access. I tried to scrape data with Ruby (nokogiri, scrapi) but nothing worked. (on other sites it worked well) The main problem is that for example selectorgadget and the add-on firebug (Firefox) don’t find any css I can use to scrape the page. On other sites I can extract the css with selectorgadget or firebug and use it with nokogiri or scrapi. Due to lack of experience it is difficult to identify the problem and therefore searching for a solution isn’t easy. Can you tell me where to start solving this problem and where I maybe can find more info about a similar scraping process? Thanks in advance!

  Dear All: Sorry this is probably a very simple question. I am using gradle http://www.gradle.org/ for my development environment. It works quite well! I have written a simple unit test that uses HtmlUnit and my own package. For my own package, I use java.util.Logger. HtmlUnit seems to use commons logging: http://htmlunit.sourceforge.net/logging.html I would like to see console output of my logging messages from java.util.Logger However, it seems that even messages at the info level are not displayed in my Unit Test Results GUI (System.err link), although the HtmlUnit messages are all displayed.   I am using the Google/YouTube APIs to develop web application which needs access to a users YouTube account. Normal unsecure requests work fine and I can upgrade one time tokens to session tokens without any hassle. However when I click on the 'adBuy' textField on my SWF it opens Coda, the piece of software I'm using to write this small piece of code? I am puzzled. • When/why does Internet Explorer block installation of a (signed) ActiveX control?

  When the user visits a page that contains a signed ActiveX control that has never been seen before, I'd expect IE to ask the user for permission to install the control. But sometimes IE puts up a security warning instead. For example, consider this site, which has a test control: http://www.pcpitstop.com/testax.asp I'd expect to get this message -- and sometimes, I do: "The website wants to run the following add-on: 'XXX' from 'YYY'. If you trust the the website and the add-on and want to allow it to run, click here..." But under IE8 on XP, I usually get this instead: "To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted this site from showing certain content. Click here for options..." What's going on? • problems with UTF-8 encoding in PHP

  Hi guys, The characters I am getting from the URL, for example www.mydomain.com/?name=john , were fine, as longs as they were not in Russian. If they were are in Russian, I was getting '????'. So I added $name= iconv("cp1251","utf-8" ,$name); and now it works fine for Russian and English characters, but screws up other languages. :))) For example 'Janis' ( Latvian ) that worked fine before iconv, now turns into 'j??nis'. Any idea if there's some universal encoder that would work with both the Cyrillic languages and not screw up other languages?

• What is good server performance monitoring software for Windows?

  I'm looking for some software to monitor a single server for performance alerts. Preferably free and with a reasonable default configuration. Edit: To clarify, I would like to run this software on a Windows machine and monitor a remote Windows server for CPU/memory/etc. usage alerts (not a single application). Edit: I suppose its not necessary that this software be run remotely, I would also settle for something that ran on the server and emailed me if there was an alert. It seems like Windows performance logs and alerts might be used for this purpose somehow but it was not immediately obvious to me.
