    I have two separate tables both with user id columns uid. I want to take a value from all users in one table and insert it into the correct row for the correct user in the other table. INSERT INTO users2 (picture) SELECT pv.value FROM profile_values as pv, users2 as u WHERE pv.uid = u.uid AND pv.fid = 31 AND users2.uid=u.uid; But it's not working because i seem not to have access to users2.uid inside of the select statement. How would I accomplish this?

    Hello all, Both the MySQLi and MySQLi_STMT classes have an $insert_id property. If I am connected to my database using a MySQLi object (say $db), and then I perform an INSERT with a MySQLi_STMT object (say $stmt), to get the id of the last INSERT, should I use: $last_id = $db->insert_id; or $last_id = $stmt->insert_id; Or would they be the same, in which case it doesn't matter?     I have a table for logging that needs a log ID but I can't use an identity column because the log ID is part of a combo key. create table StuffLogs { StuffID int LogID int Note varchar(255) } There is a combo key for StuffID & LogID. I want to build an insert trigger that computes the next LogID when inserting log records. I can do it for one record at a time (see below to see how LogID is computed), but that's not really effective, and I'm hoping there's a way to do this without cursors. select @NextLogID = isnull(max(LogID),0)+1 from StuffLogs where StuffID = (select StuffID from inserted) The net result should allow me to insert any number of records into StuffLogs with the LogID column auto computed.     Hey, I am working with a cluster system over linux (www.mosix.org) that allows me to run jobs and have the system run them on different computers. Jobs are run like so: mosrun ls & This will naturally create the process and run it on the background, returning the process id, like so: [1] 29199 Later it will return. I am writing a Python infrastructure that would run jobs and control them. For that I want to run jobs using the mosrun program as above, and save the process ID of the spawned process (29199 in this case). This naturally cannot be done using os.system or commands.getoutput, as the printed ID is not what the process prints to output... Any clues? Edit: Since the python script is only meant to initially run the script, the scripts need to run longer than the python shell. I guess it means the mosrun process cannot be the script's "son process". Any suggestions? Thanks

Now, the question is : how to insert a div [b]at the top of iframe body[/b] and fix it there? (Will insertFirst() work?) Also, how to fix the footer div always [b]at the bottom of the iframe body[/b]? I tried make its position absolute and gave a margin top/bottom, but the problem comes when the body height of the iframe increases and footer DIV position does not change.     I want to store the last X records in an MySQL database in an efficient way. So when the 4th record is stored the first should be deleted. The way I do this not is first run a query getting the items. Than check what I should do then insert/delete. There has to be a better way to do this. Any suggestions? Edit I think I should add that the records stored do not have a unique number. They have a mixed par. For example article_id and user_id. Then I want to make a table with the last X items for user_x. Just selecting the article from the table grouped by user and sorted by time is not an option for me. The table where I do the sort and group on has millions of records and gets hit a lot for no reason. So making a table in between with the last X records is way more effient. PS. I am not using this for articles and users.

I want to pass the current user's ID as an argument to the view that selects the options for the CCK NodeReference field. Basically when the user creates a new item, I only want them to be able to reference a node which they created (not someone else's node).     I realize having two elements in the same html doc with the same ID is wrong, bad, immoral, and will lead to global warming. But... I'm trying to write an XSS widgit, so I really have no control over the quality of the parent web page. I loop through document.images to retrieve a list of images on the page. I perform an action on each one. for(img in document.images){ ... } i've also tried for(var i=0;i<document.images.length;i++){ ... } in both cases it allows me to loop through all of the elements, BUT when trying trying to reference an object with a duplicate ID, I always get the first (in order of the html). When using debugger in IE8 i'm able to see that both elements ARE listed, but that they both have the same index (in IE the index of the document.images is either sequential or matches the image ID) Does anyone have a better solution?

  • Insert multiple rows into temp table with one command in SQL2005

    I've got some data in the following format: -1,-1,-1,-1,701,-1,-1,-1,-1,-1,304,390,403,435,438,439,442,455 I need to insert it into a temp table like this: CREATE TABLE #TEMP ( Node int ) So that I can use it in a comparison with data in another table. The data above represents separate rows of the "Node" column. Is there an easy way to insert this data, all in one command? Also, the data will actually being coming in as seen, as a string... so I need to be able to just concat it into the SQL query string. I can obviously modify it first if needed.

  • JsonStore.insert() causes exception in extjs

    I have an EditorGridPanel with toolbar button to add new records. Everything works fine except one scenario. When I try to insert a record which already exists in database, server sends back: {"success":false,"message":"already exists","data":{}} but grid creates a new row marked with red triangle. If after that I try to insert a new record (even if it doesn't exist in database), everything works fine on the server side, but i get an 'uncaught exception' in firebug. It says: 'uncaught exception: Ext.data.DataReader: #realize was called with invalid remote-data. Please see the docs for DataReader#realize and review your DataReader configuration.' why is that?
