  • Google Chrome shows garbage text instead of web page

    On some websites, I receive garbage text instead of web page itself. I have noticed that this only happens for pages that are served with Content-Encoding set to GZIP or chunked headers, see the image please: I am using latest version 22.0.1229.94 of Chrome with Windows 7 Ultimaate. The encoding of browser is set to UTF-8. (I also tried changing encoding to Western, etc but same result) Can anyone suggest a solution to this? Thanks

  • Visual Studio CLR project

    Hi, so I wanted to try my first CLR project in Visual C++. So I created console project, but since every tutorial I found about CLR programming was using C#, or windows forms, I just tried writing standart c++ Hello Word app using iostream (I think code isnt needed in this case) but I though it will give me some compile error, since iostream uses precompiled functions, and CLR app compiles into MSIL. I assumed that CLR programming using C++ means just using C++ syntax, but different functions for I/O and so. So, basicly, what I want to ask is, can any native console C++ app be compiled into MSIL and run by .NET framework?

Currently, it works as follows: The client requests /index.php?test=value The server invokes php index.php The server feeds the HTTP request headers as STDIN to the PHP process The server reads the output of php from STDOUT and returns it to the client All of this is working except that the parameters are not being passed to the PHP script because: var_dump($_GET); returns: array(0) { } How do $_GET parameters get passed to the PHP binary when it is invoked?

But how can you configure many IIS servers running on different virtual machines in the same network, to host websites using the same public IP addres, but different domain names? Normailly in IIS under the website you can set the headers to which the website will respond to. but what if that website is on a different machine?

  • link .a and .o files in GCC

    hi! I have two precompiled library: X.a and Y.a and a test.cpp (without main function) source code use these two libraries. I compiled the C++ using: g++ -c test.cpp and I got 'test.o'. Now how can I link these three together to generate a .a file because test.cpp use some function in X.a and Y.a and other GCC libraries? BTW, I am doing these under Windows using MinGW. Can I rename this .a file to .lib and use this .lib in VC? Thanks!

    Is it possible to edit contents of e-mail messages (including headers) in any mailbox stored on Exchange Server (Exchange Server 2010 SP3 UR2 - 14.3.158.1)? Or, alternatively, edit the email messages in the OST file (of MS Outlook), so that they then can be synchronized with the Exchange server? PS. Do I need to modify gcc's specs file or do anything else?

But I need to access the body of the response. I couldn't find a way to extract that from the response struct, though. Does anyone have an idea how I could extract it anyway?

  • Windows 7: Add column to ALL music folders

    In Windows 7 Explorer, when I open a folder containing only music, it's smart enough to show me a custom set of columns (Name, #, Title, Contributing Artists, Album) that make sense for a music folder. However, I also always want to see a Length column. I can right click on the column headers and add the Length column, which is persistent for that folder, but when I go to another music folder, it doesn't have the new Length column. How do I set up Windows so that ALL music folders ALWAYS show me this column?

Does anybody know what advice I need to give these users to avoid their articles getting bounced? Or can I change the behaviour of innd? Or do I need to filter these headers out before innd processes the articles?

  • What is a good third-party SMTP software for custom logging?

    I am currently using IIS 6 SMTP to send out some of our mail and I unfortunately amn't finding the logging performed by it to be verbose enough - nor am I able to customise it to the level I would find verbose enough. I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a piece of third-party SMTP software which would allow for customisability of the logging down to the point where I can inject in my own columns or perform regular expressions on the outgoing message data or headers.

  • Is there a compression method for compressing a group of very similar files, without archiving them?

    I want to compress a large nuber of files that have near identical headers, and also some data, however I do not wish to archive them, nor do I wish to zip them individually(because the copression ratio would be much higher if substitutions of similar blocks could be done using a single table). Does a compression method exist to do this already, or should I implement it myself. Note: Don't say "Disk space is cheap", because I may want to use this on an embedded system.

  • Https in java ends up with strange results

    I'm trying to illustrate to students how https is used in java. But i have the feeling my example is not really the best out there... The code works well on my windows 7: I start the server, go to https://localhost:8080/somefile.txt and i get asked to trust the certificate, and all goes well. When I try over http (before or after accepting the certificate) I just get a blank page, which is ok for me. BUT when I try the exact same thing on my windows XP: Same thing, all goes well. But then (after accepting the certificate first), I'm also able to get all the the files through http! (if I first try http before https followed by accepting the certificate, I get no answer..) I tried refreshing, hard refreshing a million times but this should not be working, right? Is there something wrong in my code?     For a gcc cheatsheet I'm writing, I want to create a table which should describe how gcc interprets different file endings.   • Results copied from SSMS splitting across columns when pasted into Excel

    SSMS 2008 - Excel 2003 This isn't happening all the time, but sometimes when I 'copy with headers' from sql server management studio, the results in Excel look as though I've used the 'text to columns' wizard with 'spaces' and 'brackets' as delimiters, meaning that the results become raggedly distributed across columns making them useless I've looked in the 'grid output' query options but can't see anything which may be causing the issue (not sure if this should be on superuser?)

  • How can people still be getting spam from a hotmail account that's been closed?

    My wife had an old hotmail account which she recently closed. Some people that she used to communicate with from that account have recently been receiving spam emails from this account. I don't see how this is possible because the account is closed. I considered that maybe the email address is being spoofed, is there a way I can tell from looking at the email headers or something? Or should I take this up with hotmail?

This site serves PDFs which has quick web view and if I access a pdf directly from the IIS server the PDFs starts to display immediately but if I go through the proxy I have to wait until the entire pdf downloads before I can view it.
