  I'm quite new to Quartz and now I need to schedule some jobs in Spring Web App. I know about Spring + Quartz integration (I'm using Spring v 3.1.1) but I'm wondering if it's the right way to follow. In particular I need to persist my scheduled tasks in a DB so I can re-initialize them when application is restarted. Are there some utilities provided by Spring scheduling wrapper to do this?   I'm currently working on my company's in-house CMS and wish to add the ability for an admin to view the site on a specific date. This will allow admins to preview the site with archived or scheduled posts. I'd like to avoid finding all mentions of date() or time() and offsetting them. Is there a way of making PHP think it's a specific date so that all calls to date() default to the new time? Thank you

  Let's not go so far as to say that I'm paranoid, but I've been spending hour after hour learning how to prevent SQL injections (and XSS for what it's worth). What I'm wondering is that a SQL injection doesn't seem like it would do permanent harm to my database if I've made daily backups. Doesn't importing yesterday's copy of my tables just restore them and then I can be on my merry way?

  May I know what is the difference among lazySet and set method for AtomicInteger. javadoc doesn't talk much about lazySet : Eventually sets to the given value. It seems that AtomicInteger will not immediately be set to the desired value, but it will be scheduled to be set in some time. But, what is the practical use of this method? Any example?

It will be silently swallowed. scheduler.scheduleWithFixedDelay(new Runnable() { @Override public void run() { throw new OutOfMemoryError(); // Swallowed } }, 0, delay, TimeUnit.SECONDS); Is it normal? Why doesn't it propagate to the container? What is the correct way to handle such errors? Thanks!

  I'm attempting to map an entity hierarchy using NHibernate almost all of which have events. When attempting to build a session factory however, I get error messages similar to the following: Core.Domain.Entities.Delivery: method remove_Scheduled should be virtual Delivery is an entity in my domain model with an event called Scheduled. Since events cannot be declared virtual I'm at a loss as to how to proceed here. Why would NHibernate need events to be virtual?

  Is there any reason for my jQuery effects not to be taking effect immediately? I have jQuery hover fade effects, but then I also have CSS rollovers as backups for anyone who has javascript disabled. What happens is when you load a page and roll over a link, you get the CSS effect, but any time after that, you get the nice, smooth jQuery effect. Is there a fix for this?

  Hello, is there a way to print pdf files from a java webapplication on the local printer of the end user (connected via vpn)? The simple lookup of a printer via Java Printing Service always returns printer which are not able to print pdfs. Are there other libs which can be used for printing in java? By the way, just opening the pdf in the browser is not an option, though it must be possible to run scheduled batch printing without user interaction. Thanks in advance

  Hi, I've a SPJob Scheduled with a package (wsp) installation which update web.config and a Application Page which also build to update web.config. The problem is when I install the package it successfully update the web.config. I've confirmed the changes.
