  • Getting JSON data in PHP

    - by domagoj412
    I have a JSON data like this: { "hello": { "first":"firstvalue", "second":"secondvalue" }, "hello2": { "first2":"firstvalue2", "second2":"secondvalue2" } } I know how to retrieve data from object "first" (firstvalue) and second (secondvalue) but I would like to loop trough this object and as a result get values: "hello" and "hello2"... This is my PHP code: <?php $jsonData='{"hello":{"first":"firstvalue","second":"secondvalue"},""hello2":{"first2":"firstvalue2","second2":"secondvalue2"}}'; $jsonData=stripslashes($jsonData); $obj = json_decode($jsonData); echo $obj->{"hello"}->{"first"}; //result: "firstvalue" ?> Can it be done?

  • Work time in fullcalendar [Solution]

    - by Zozo
    Full calendar have no included options to work-time feature (selecting first and last rows in agenda view for any day - where in example company is not working). I managed something like that: viewDisplay: function(view){ $.ajax({ url: 'index.php?r=calendar/Default/worktime', dataType: 'json', success: function(data){ if(view.name=='agendaWeek') selectWorkTime(data, 30, 0, 24, false); else if(view.name=='agendaDay') selectDayWorkTime(data, 30, 0, 24, view, false); } }); } Where index.php?r=calendar/Default/worktime is php file returning json. It looks like that: $arr = array( 'mon' => array('8:00', '17:00'), 'tue' => array('9:00', '15:00'), 'wed' => array('9:30', '19:00'), 'thu' => array('6:00', '14:00'), 'fri' => array('0:00', '24:00'), 'sat' => array('9:00', '14:00'), 'sun' => array() ); foreach ($arr as &$day){ foreach($day as &$hour){ $tmp = explode(':', $hour); $hour = $tmp[0] * 3600 + $tmp[1] * 60; } } print json_encode($arr); and at the end, some functions using for counting and selecting work-time: function selectDayWorkTime(timeArray, slotMinutes, minTime, maxTime, viewObject, showAtHolidays){ var dayname; $('.fc-content').find('.fc-view-agendaWeek').find('.fc-agenda-body') .children('.fc-work-time').remove(); $('.fc-content').find('.fc-view-agendaDay') .find('.fc-work-time-day').removeClass('fc-work-time-day'); switch(viewObject.start.getDay()){ case 1: dayname='mon'; break; case 2: dayname='tue'; break; case 3: dayname='wed'; break; case 4: dayname='thu'; break; case 5: dayname='fri'; break; case 6: dayname='sat'; break; case 0: dayname='sun'; break; } for(var day in timeArray){ if(day == dayname){ if($('.fc-content').find('.fc-view-agendaDay').find('.fc-'+day).attr('class').search('fc-holiday') == -1 || showAtHolidays){ var startBefore = 0; var endBefore = timeArray[day][0] / (60 * slotMinutes) - (minTime * 60) / slotMinutes; var startAfter = timeArray[day][1] / (60 * slotMinutes) - (minTime * 60) / slotMinutes; var endAfter = (maxTime - minTime) * 60 / slotMinutes - 1; for(startBefore; startBefore < endBefore; startBefore++){ $('.fc-view-agendaDay').find('.fc-slot'+startBefore).find('div').addClass('fc-work-time-day'); } for(startAfter; startAfter <= endAfter; startAfter++){ $('.fc-view-agendaDay').find('.fc-slot'+startAfter).find('div').addClass('fc-work-time-day'); } } } } } function selectWorkTime(timeArray, slotMinutes, minTime, maxTime, showAtHolidays){ for(var day in timeArray){ var startBefore = 0; var endBefore = timeArray[day][0] / (60 * slotMinutes) - (minTime * 60) / slotMinutes; var startAfter = timeArray[day][1] / (60 * slotMinutes) - (minTime * 60) / slotMinutes; var endAfter = (maxTime - minTime) * 60 / slotMinutes - 1; if(startBefore > endBefore) endBefore = startBefore; if(startAfter > endAfter) startAfter = endAfter; try{ selectCell(startBefore, endBefore, 'fc-'+day, 'fc-work-time', false, showAtHolidays); selectCell(startAfter, endAfter, 'fc-'+day, 'fc-work-time', true, showAtHolidays); } catch(e){ continue; } } } function selectCell(startRowNo, endRowNo, collClass, cellClass, closeGap, showAtHolidays){ $('.fc-content').find('.fc-view-agendaWeek').find('.fc-agenda-body') .children('.'+cellClass+''+startRowNo+''+collClass).remove(); $('.fc-content').find('.fc-view-agendaDay') .find('.fc-work-time-day').removeClass('fc-work-time-day'); if($('.fc-content').find('.fc-view-agendaWeek').find('.'+collClass).attr('class').search('fc-holiday') == -1 || showAtHolidays){ var width = $('.fc-content').find('.fc-view-agendaWeek') .find('.'+collClass+':last').width(); var height = 0; if(closeGap && (startRowNo != endRowNo)){ height = $('.fc-content').find('.fc-view-agendaWeek') .find('.fc-slot'+ startRowNo).height(); } $('.fc-view-agendaWeek').find('.fc-agenda-body').prepend('<div class="'+cellClass+' ' + ''+cellClass+''+startRowNo+''+collClass+'"></div>'); $('.'+cellClass).width(width - 2); height += $('.fc-content').find('.fc-view-agendaWeek') .find('.fc-slot'+ endRowNo).position().top - $('.fc-content').find('.fc-view-agendaWeek') .find('.fc-slot'+ startRowNo).position().top; $('.'+cellClass+''+startRowNo+''+collClass).height(height); $('.'+cellClass+''+startRowNo+''+collClass) .css('margin-top', $('.fc-content').find('.fc-view-agendaWeek') .find('.fc-slot'+ startRowNo).position().top); $('.'+cellClass+''+startRowNo+''+collClass) .css('margin-left', $('.fc-content').find('.fc-view-agendaWeek') .find('.'+collClass+':last').offset().left - width / 2); } } Don't forget about CSS: .fc-work-time-day{ background-color: yellow; opacity: 0.3; filter: alpha(opacity=30); /* for IE */ } .fc-work-time{ position: absolute; background-color: yellow; z-index:10; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-align: left; z-index: 0; opacity: 0.3; filter: alpha(opacity=30); /* for IE */ } So, I've got some questions about - is the other way to make the same, but no using absolute div's in agendaWeek? And... How can I get in viewDisplay function actual slotMinutes, minTime and maxTime

  • How do i fire a click continuously while something is hovered?

    - by russjman
    Im pretty sure this has a simple solution. I am using jCarousellite, and i want to change the behaviour of built in nav buttons to fire on hover over. $("#carousel").jCarouselLite({ vertical: true, btnNext: ".btn-down", btnPrev: ".btn-up", visible:6, circular: false }); $("#carousel .btn-down").hover(function() { $("#carousel .btn-down").click(); }); but it only fires once when mouseover, i need it to fire continueously while mouseover.

  • Pass dynamic data to mvc controller with AJAX

    - by Yustme
    How can I pass dynamic data with an AJAX call to an MVC Controller? Controller: public JsonResult ApplyFilters(dynamic filters){ return null; } The AJAX call: $(':checkbox').click(function (event) { var serviceIds = $('input[type="checkbox"]:checked').map(function () { return $(this).val(); }).toArray(); //alert(serviceIds); $.ajax({ type: 'GET', url: '/home/ApplyFilters', data: JSON.stringify({ name: serviceIds }), contentType: 'application/json', success: function (data) { alert("succeeded"); }, error: function (err, data) { alert("Error " + err.responseText); } }); //return false; }); Ideally would be that the filters would contain the serviceIds as a property For example like this: filters.ServiceIds. I got another filter for a date range and that one would be added like so: filters.DateRange. And server side get the filter as a dynamic object in the ApplyFilters()

  • JavaScript Array Problem

    - by JasonS
    Hi, This wasn't the question I was going to ask but I have unexpectedly run aground with JavaScript arrays. I come from a PHP background and after looking at a few websites I am none the wiser. I am trying to create a multi-dimensional array. var photos = new Array; var a = 0; $("#photos img").each(function(i) { photos[a]["url"] = this.src; photos[a]["caption"] = this.alt; photos[a]["background"] = this.css('background-color'); a++; }); Error message: photos[a] is undefined. How do I do this. Thanks.

  • Finding matches between multiple JavaScript Arrays

    - by Chris Barr
    I have multiple arrays with string values and I want to compare them and only keep the matching results that are identical between ALL of them. Given this example code: var arr1 = ['apple', 'orange', 'banana', 'pear', 'fish', 'pancake', 'taco', 'pizza']; var arr2 = ['taco', 'fish', 'apple', 'pizza']; var arr3 = ['banana', 'pizza', 'fish', 'apple']; I would like to to produce the following array that contains matches from all given arrays: ['apple', 'fish', 'pizza'] I know I can combine all the arrays with var newArr = arr1.concat(arr2, arr3); but that just give me an array with everything, plus the duplicates. Can this be done easily without needing the overhead of libraries such as underscore.js? (Great, and now i'm hungry too!) EDIT I suppose I should mention that there could be an unknown amount of arrays, I was just using 3 as an example.

  • Changing url of background image

    - by João Pedro
    I'm doing this interface where I have a lot of buttons that are just a li with a background image like this #menu ul.icons li.nove { background-image:url(images/edit-menu/icons/undo.png); background-size:contain; display:block; margin-top:29px; } <ul class="icons"> <li class="um"></li> <li class="dois"></li> <li class="tres"></li> <li class="quatro"></li> <li class="cinco"></li> <li class="seis"></li> <li class="sete"></li> <li class="oito"></li> <li class="nove"></li> <li class="dez"></li> </ul> I need to create a code where I change the background image of the button when the user clicks it, to show that button its activated, I just need to change url(images/edit-menu/icons/ to url(images/edit-menu/select/ and keep the same filename. I need a way to do this dynamically so I won't have to do it for each of the 10 buttons. Hope I was clear, thanks in advance

  • Scroll to a text position in Javascript

    - by Andy
    I have a real-time HTML editor, with a textarea on the left for code entry, and a 'preview' DIV on the right to contain the preview of the code entered. At the moment, when editing the code in the left pane, the preview just sits where it is, so often the part of the code you're editing is not in the visible area of the preview (especially when images are involved). My question is how do I make the preview scroll to show the part of the code that's currently being edited? Here is the page I have so far: http://www.caerphoto.com/rtedit.html You'll notice in the source I have a (currently unused) matchPreview() function that tries to match the scroll position of the preview based on the scroll position of the textarea, but obviously if images or large text are involved the two panes no longer match.

  • .each or search function, how can I make use of those?

    - by Noor
    I have a ul list, with 10 items, and I have a label that displays the selected li text. When I click a button, I need to check the label, versus all the list items to find the matching one, when it finds that I need to assign the corresponding number. I.e. list: Messi Cristiano Zlatan hidden values of list items: www.messi.com www.cronaldo.com www.ibra.com label: Zlatan script (thought)procces: get label text, search list for matching string, get the value of that string. (and if someone could point me in a direction to learn these basic(?) stuff. tried to be as specific as possible, thanks guys! edit: really sorry for not being clear. the li's are all getting a class dynamically (.listitem). the links can be stored in an array or in a hidden field (or other ul thats hidden) it doesn't really matter where the links are.. $('.listitem').click(function() { $("#elname").text($(this).text()); $("#such").attr("href", $(this).attr('value')); }); I was trying that with the li's having values but I realized that li's can't have values.. thanks again!

  • Catching the Facebook Login Event to change the HTML of the parent page

    - by Arkid
    I am trying to create Facebook based login using Javascript. Once a person clicks a button he should get a div replaced by another div, if he is logged in to Facebook. However, if he is not logged in to Facebook he is asked his Facebook credentials and he logs in. However, we need the user to click the button once more for the div replacement to happen in this case. I want to know if there is a way in which I can catch the Facebook login event and change the div? Is polling a way or there is some other way out. I want to use only Javascript.

  • Please help clean this loop

    - by Alex Angelini
    I do not code much in Javascript, but I have the following snippet which IMHO looks horrendous and I have to do this nested iteration quite often in my code. Does anyone have a prettier/easier to read solution? function addBrowse(data) { var list = $('<ul></ul>') for(i = 0; i < data.list.length; i++) { var file = list.append('<li class="toLeft">' + data.list[i].name + '</li>') for(j = 0; j < data.list[i].children.length; j++) { var db = file.append('<li>' + data.list[i].children[j].name + '</li>') for(k = 0; k < data.list[i].children[j].children.length; k++) db.append('<li class="toRight">' + data.list[i].children[j].children[k].name + '</li>') } } $('#browse').append(list).show()} Here is a sample data element {"file":"","db":"","tbl":"","page":"browse","list":[ { "name":"/home/alex/GoSource/test1.txt", "children":[ { "name":"go", "children":[ { "name":"validation1", "children":[ ] } ] } ] }, { "name":"/home/alex/GoSource/test2.txt", "children":[ { "name":"go", "children":[ { "name":"validation2", "children":[ ] } ] } ] }, { "name":"/home/alex/GoSource/test3.txt", "children":[ { "name":"go", "children":[ { "name":"validation3", "children":[ ] } ] } ] }]} Thanks a lot

  • Develop an classic UI or be bold with a newer design?

    - by DeanMc
    Forgive me if this is the wrong place but I am curious as to how other programmers feel about this topic: I am currently working on my portfolio site, it is being designed and built in silverlight 4. I initially started off with a typical stylised e-folio theme much like a standard website in terms of layout and flow. As I work more in the concept stages something has struck me. Am I trying to shoe-horn yesterday into today? What I am talking about is UI expectations. I'm all for clean user interfaces but that does not mean they should not take advantage of new concepts in presentation right? If you where to develop a site in silverlight as your own portfolio piece would you stick to the tried and tested "website" feel or would you try to come up with a UI that is intuitive and complements the technology? I feel that UI discussions are all the more important now that all forms of web development are allowing better methods to engage the user.

  • How to loop a json array and update links

    - by azz0r
    Hello, On page load, I do one call to get the current status of all the favourite links (display the right message aka: click to subscribe, click to unsubscribe. So far I have the following code: $(InitFavorite); function InitFavorite(){ var jList = $(".favourite_link"); var ids_to_check = {};//new Array(); $.each(jList, function () { var id = this.id; var object = id.split("_"); if (!ids_to_check[object[1]]) { ids_to_check[object[1]] = []; } ids_to_check[object[1]].push(object[0]); }); //console.log(ids_to_check); $.ajax({ type: 'POST', url: '/user/subscription/favourite-listing', data: ids_to_check, dataType: 'json', beforeSend: function(x) { if(x && x.overrideMimeType) { x.overrideMimeType("application/j-son;charset=UTF-8"); } }, error: function() { alert(1); }, success: function(returned_values) { $.each(returned_values, function() { console.log($(this)); }) } }); } My returned data is: {"env":"development","loggedIn":true,"translate":{},"aaron":"{\"Playlist\":{\"10\":\"Stop Recieving Updates For This Playlist\"},\"Clip\":{\"26\":\"Recieve Updates For This Clip\",\"27\":\"Recieve Updates For This Clip\",\"28\":\"Recieve Updates For This Clip\",\"29\":\"Stop Recieving Updates For This Clip\",\"30\":\"Recieve Updates For This Clip\"}}"} I would like it to loop through the data and for example update the class <a href="/user/subscription/toggle/id/26/object/Clip" class="favourite_link" id="26_Clip"> <img src="/design/images/icon/subscribe.png"> Add Clip To Favourites</a> However eaching through returned_values equals this in firebug: ["{", """, "P", "l", "a", "y", "l", "i", "s", "t", """, ":", "{", """, "1", "0", """, ":", """, "S", "t", "o", "p", " ", "R", "e", "c", "i", "e", "v", "i", "n", "g", " ", "U", "p", "d", "a", "t", "e", "s", " ", "F", "o", "r", " ", "T", "h", "i", "s", " ", "P", "l", "a", "y", "l", "i", "s", "t", """, "}", ",", """, "C", "l", "i", "p", """, ":", "{", """, "2", "6", """, ":", """, "R", "e", "c", "i", "e", "v", "e", " ", "U", "p", "d", "a", "t", "e", "s", " ", "F", "o", "r", " ", "T", "h", "i", "s", " ", "C", "l", "i", "p", """, ",", """, "2", "7", """, ":", """, "R", "e", "c", "i", "e", "v", "e", " ", "U", "p", "d", "a", "t", "e", "s", " ", "F", "o", "r", " ", "T", "h", "i", "s", " ", "C", "l", "i", "p", """, ",", """, "2", "8", """, ":", """, "R", "e", "c", "i", "e", "v", "e", " ", "U", "p", "d", "a", "t", "e", "s", " ", "F", "o", "r", " ", "T", "h", "i", "s", " ", "C", "l", "i", "p", """, ",", """, "2", "9", """, ":", """, "S", "t", "o", "p", " ", "R", "e", "c", "i", "e", "v", "i", "n", "g", " ", "U", "p", "d", "a", "t", "e", "s", " ", "F", "o", "r", " ", "T", "h", "i", "s", " ", "C", "l", "i", "p", """, ",", """, "3", "0", """, ":", """, "R", "e", "c", "i", "e", "v", "e", " ", "U", "p", "d", "a", "t", "e", "s", " ", "F", "o", "r", " ", "T", "h", "i", "s", " ", "C", "l", "i", "p", """, "}", "}"] How would I successfully loop that json array?   • Ajax success function firing before java class responds

    - by user1899281
    I am creating a login function with ajax and am having an issue where the success function (SuccessLogin) fires before getting an ajax response. I am running the code as google web app from eclipse and I can see when debugging the java class file, that the javascript is throwing an alert for the success response from the class being false before the debugger catches the break point in the class file. I have only been writing code for a couple months now so I am sure its a stupid little error on my part. $(document).ready(function() { sessionChecker() // sign in $('#signInForm').click(function () { $().button('loading') var email = $('#user_username').val(); sessionStorage.email = $('#user_username').val(); var password= $('#user_password').val(); var SignInRequest = { type: "UserLoginRequest", email: email, password: password } var data= JSON.stringify(SignInRequest); //disabled all the text fields $('.text').attr('disabled','true'); //start the ajax $.ajax({ url: "/resources/user/login", type: "POST", data: data, cache: false, success: successLogin(data) }); }); //if submit button is clicked $('#Register').click(function () { $().button('loading') var email = $('#email').val(); if ($('#InputPassword').val()== $('#ConfirmPassword').val()) { var password= $('input[id=InputPassword]').val(); } else {alert("Passwords do not match"); return ;} var UserRegistrationRequest = { type: "UserRegistrationRequest", email: email, password: password } var data= JSON.stringify(UserRegistrationRequest); //disabled all the text fields $('.text').attr('disabled','true'); //start the ajax $.ajax({ url: "/resources/user/register", type: "POST", data: data, cache: false, success: function (data) { if (data.success==true) { //hide the form $('form').fadeOut('slow'); //show the success message $('.done').fadeIn('slow'); } else alert('data.errorReason'); } }); return false; }); }); function successLogin (data){ if (data.success) { sessionStorage.userID= data.userID var userID = data.userID sessionChecker(userID); } else alert(data.errorReason); } //session check function sessionChecker(uid) { if (sessionStorage.userID!= null){ var userID = sessionStorage.userID }; if (userID != null){ $('#user').append(userID) $('#fat-menu_1').fadeOut('slow') $('#fat-menu_2').append(sessionStorage.email).fadeIn('slow') }; }

What's wrong with that? A friend thinks I need to escape some characters somewhere. Thanks for the help!

  • sorting nested list, allow only li to be sorted witin the same ul

    what i want to achive is: sorting the main ul is working but not all the time - i will try to fix that my own but if there is a problem with the code here and not the one in proccess-sortable - tell me. moving li in the main ul is ok but the sub or the sub of the sub is having problem - i can drag something from one sub to it's sub or the other way too - i don't want that to happend. i want to be able to drag li and by selecting that one that only this ul group will send to proccess-sortable to be updated - how can i catch the specific ul of li i am draging? $(document).ready(function() { $("#test-list").sortable({ items: "> li", handle : '.handle', axis: 'y', opacity: 0.6, update : function () { var order = $('#test-list').sortable('serialize'); $("#info").load("process-sortable.asp?"+order+"&id=catid&order=orderid&table=tblCats"); } }); $("#test-sub").sortable({ containment: "ul", items: "li", handle : '.handle2', axis: 'y', opacity: 0.6, update : function () { var order = $('ul').sortable('serialize'); $("#info").load("process-sortable.asp?"+order+"&id=catid&order=orderid&table=tblCats"); } }); }); this is the html part <ul id="test-list"> <li id="listItem_10">first<img align="middle" src="Themes/arrow.png" class="handle" /></li> <li id="listItem_8">second<img align="middle" src="Themes/arrow.png" class="handle" /> <ul id="test-sub"> <li id="listItem_4><img align="middle" src="Themes/arrow.png" class="handle2" /></li> <li id="listItem_3"><img align="middle" src="Themes/arrow.png" class="handle2" /></li> <ul id="test-sub"> <li id="listItem_9"><img align="middle" src="Themes/arrow.png" class="handle2" /></li> </ul> </li> </ul> </li> </ul>
