• Front-end phtml template form doesn't connect to controller.php file

  The web system which I'm working on right now, has a add.phtml (in views folder) form, which contain normal form elements and pageController.php (in Controller folder) file which has function to be connected when user hit "add page" button on the form. The codes goes like this. on add.phtml file, input type = "submit" value ="Add Page" on pageController.php file, function insertAction(){ } For some reason these two doesn't connect now. Is anybody have any idea why this doesn't work or what should I check on this kind of a problem. The web system on zend framewok. I really appreciate if someone can help me.

• CodeIgnitor is generating multiple sessions in the database, why?

  Ive got a site that does a few ajax calls on page load, now for some reason, codeIgnitor is inserting 4 sessions (I'm assuming for each ajax call) as you load the page. I'm storing the sessions in the database. I'm pretty sure there should only be one session per browser? FF seems to only generate one, other browsers seem to create a whole bunch of sessions. Multiple sessions for the same user are giving me some serious authentication problems. any ideas?

Im guessing hte addlead.pl is just a posting page with no response.

  I have a PHP page that contains html and tags and PHP codes and I am using AJAX to manipulate some data and now I need to spit out the response but I am not sure if it is possible to put the mixed content into a string variable to pass through... Is this possible? For example I need to: $response = "<p>some text--<?php echo $something; ?>"; Thanks... To clear things up, I am not trying to send raw PHP code to clientside as that would be silly and won't be evaluated as it is a server side script. I am just looking for a fast way to put everything into a variable without manually re-doing the whole page stripping out the php open and close tags and echos...etc

  Hello, everybody!!!! I have just successfully installed TWILL on my computer with the help of one very supportive member of "StackOverflow" (you can check it out HERE) and have tried to run one of the simple examples on the twill documentation page (you can see that page HERE). Here is that example: Let's say my username on www.slash.org is lynxye and my password is mammal. When I try to enter that exanple code into my Python prompt, I can only enter the first line of the code bexcause when I click on "Enter" to start a new line, I get some error messages right away: The same happens when I try to enter this code into my terminal: I think I miss out on some basics here. Perhaps, I need to create a file that would contain that code and then run that file somehow, but I really don't know where I need to create that file and with what extensdion. Can anyone, please, help me with this?

  Our webapp has a form with fields and values that change depending on values entered. Each time there is a change event on one of the form elements, we use an expensive AJAX call to update other elements on the page. This works great for selects, radio buttons and checkboxes. The issue comes in when a user adds content to a text field, and then clicks a link without taking the focus from the text field. The browser moves to a new page, and the contents of the text field are never saved. Is there an easy way to code around this? The AJAX call is too expensive to call with each key press. Is there any other library that helps us reading word documents like microsoft word doc where we can get number of pages and get a page by its number etc? Do not want to use safari to view the document.   I developed a web app that responds with data in the format as specified by the client in the HTTP Accept Headers. Everything worked fine while using Firefox, but when I wanted to check my CSS / HTML on Chrome and IE, both of them wanted to download the index page, as if it's an unknown content type. After some research I found this article, which states that IE sends out a lot of crud in it's HTTP Accept headers, amongst others a list of image/* content types right at the start. This caused my web app to try to send the index page as an image/jpeg. So how do I know when to ignore and when to use the Accept Headers?

• Server.Transfer - What could be the issue here?

  We have implemented a website with the ability for the user to post his actioncode. This then will be checked by the code and when the user has a price the website will Server.Transfer him to another page. The strange thing here is that the user information will be submitted to the database and the actioncode can't be used again. Here we go... I have one user in this database that is inserted twice very fast after the first time he was added. This are the timestamps: 2010-04-23 07:54:41.133 2010-04-23 07:54:41.417 The insert statement is only called once from the code and the user gets Server.Transfered to the Price.aspx page where he sees what price he won. How can it be that this happened? I'm guessing the user hitted F5 but then he had to be very very fast... Thx!

  HI, I am developing asp.net mvc site with linq-to-sql we are having 1000 cocurrent users and we are having performance problems. I have found that stackovewflow is also build on linq-to-sql? So can anybody know how they improved performance. Without line performance was good each page are loaded in 3 seconds but after migrating to linq as per our client requirement page comes in 8 to 10 seconds which is not acceptable performance.   Hi, on a web page i am trying to redirect the browser to another page on the same site. the code is very simple for that: window.location = "/path1/path2" on safari - both windows as well as mac - a message box containing only the text "http://domain.com" comes up. I have tried different ways of specifying this: location.href, windows.assign(...) ... and the all have the same behavior. Did any of you see this? and do you have a solution for this? Thanks.

  My web page does not have the autocomplete attribute that would tell browsers not to autocomplete the field. In spite of not having this attribute, IE 8 or Safari (not sure on other browsers) does not autocomplete the page. Autocomplete does work on some sites (such as Gmail) so I am assuming that the browser setting is not causing it? Say in mypage.com/blue/index.php y set the cookie "colour=blue;" this way: document.cookie = "colour" + "=" + "blue" + "; expires=" + expireDate.toGMTString() + "; path=/"; Using this code, the cookie retrieval function in mypage.com/home.php can't access the content of the cookie. If it was just from first level directories that the cookie needs to be set, we would be ok by doing path=../ instead of path=/ But how do you go about writing generic code that sets a cookie that is accessible from any page in that domain not minding how deep in the file structure is the page the cookie is being set from?

  I am creating 4 asp.net pages. first three pages have 'CONTINUE' button and last page has 'SUBMIT' button. I am not allowed to use Sessions to store first three pages data. and i need to use 'BACK' button on last three pages. when i click 'BACK' button i need to maintain the previous page data entered by user. As my pages do some postbacks, i cannot use javascript.history function. My restrictions are: As the application is served from a web farm, a session object cannot be used. However, for the purpose of this excersise, consider session object as database-like persistent space where you can store your data. your code should show an easy way to switch to a different persistent space. What is databse like persistent space and how to write a code to switch to different persistent space?... Please give me some idea on how to proceed.... Thank you

  I am trying to Select nodes from some webservice response XML to no avail. For some reason I am able to select the root node ("xmldata") however, when I try to drill deeper("xmldata/customers") everything is returned empty!   Hi, I am trying to display a table to display of products (rows) in a single A4 fixed layout page. I manage to add a table with header/detail/footer sections but I can not set a minimum heigth for the detail section (150mm for example). If I set a 150mm heigth on the detail row, then Each row will have that 150mm heigth. Whereas I would like, each row to have a minimal heith (could be on several line if the content of some columns is wrapped). +---------+--------+--------------+ Tbl Hdr | col1 | col2 | col3 | +---------+--------+--------------+ Tbl Dtl | [val1] | [val2] | [val3] | +---------+--------+--------------+ | | <-should have a variable heigth +---------+--------+--------------+ Tbl Ftr | | | Total | +---------+--------+--------------+ If a set not heigth on the detail row then the footer comes, right beneath the detail rows, instead of sticking at the bottom of the page :-( I hope this makes sense (if not I could provide more details).   I'm sure this has been asked a million times, but what is the accepted approach to this? I have been writing php code for a while and up until recently I only copied+pasted javascript code, but now with help from YUI I've begun to understand javascript and want to use it more in an existing web app I have. I want to get various amounts of data from databases etc to the clientside javascript. I have access to this data in my php pages when loading. What is the correct way to get this data to my client side script. Generate clientside javascript in my php or smarty template files inserting the data where I need it? Use an Ajax call to retrieve the information I need from a php file - returning JSON data? Generate a JSON data construct of the data needed by the page and either return it via a script inclusion or dumping it to the generated page? Something really obvious I haven't thought of.

  Hi, I've made this code: window.setInterval(function(){ var a = doStuff(); var b = a + 5; }, 60000) The actual contents of the anonymous function is of course just for this small example as it doesn't matter. What really happens is a bunch of variables get created in the scope of the function itself, because I don't need/want to pollute the global space. But as you all know, the doStuff() function won't be called until 60 seconds in the page. I would also like to call the function right now, as soon as the page is loaded, and from then on every 60 seconds too. Is it somehow possible to call the function without copy/pasting the inside code to right after the setInterval() line? As I said, I don't want to pollute the global space with useless variables that aren't needed outside the function.

I would like to be able to select the code page to which unicode arguments passed to CreateProcessW() are converted to be different from the system's default codepage for non-unicode programs.
