    Is SQLCacheDependency used in context of ASP.net or can it be used for a project of .net only. Rather tahn using ASP.net i am receiving request by listening on a port.I want to store data for my session in cache.If this data is fetched from database then i want it to be updated using something like SQLCacheDependency.Can I configure it for my use or is it restricted for use with asp.net cache.

    When I checkout, checkin, rename soemthing in Vs 2008 SP1 while I have the project open in Expression Blend 3, these changes are not updated in Blend until I close and reopen the solution in blend or I try to checkout/checkin an item that is aready checked out. Is this a known bug? And is there a workaround?

    Imagine a code: search = Project.search( :title_or_description_or_child_name_or_child_age_or_inspiration_or_decorating_style_or_favorite_item_or_others_like_any => keys, :galleries_id_like_any => @g, :styles_id_like_any => @st, :tags_like_any => @t ) search.all returns the rows correctly. But search.descend_by_views returns nil. Is this gem buggy? What else should I use then?

  • php require and autoload

    I use __autoload to load classes, and I keep getting errors that no class is found but file get's loaded ok. Then if I change something in a file, just something like add a new line and save it, everything works fine and class is then found. But this is a great problem cause there are thousands of files in this project and I don't want to change them one by one. I'm using php 5.3.0 on windows. What could be the problem?

    Hello, I am using $data in all my views $this->load->view('my_view', $data); I have also autoload a Controller following this guide Extending Core Controller But I want to make $data global because in views there is a sidebar which is constant for whole project and displays info fetched through db in autoloaded controller Currently I have to manually write $data['todo'] for each and fetch info from autoloaded model.     hi, im a bit new at extension development, but im about to embark upon a project to build a ffox extension. Does anyone know if its possbile, with minimal adaption, to make a firefox extension compatible with ie8 as a plugin and if so, are there any caveats i should be aware of?     Hi, I've lately installed Windows 7. After opening my old C# project in visual studio i noticed that my buttons are too small (button.text didn't fit in). Why the hell did MS increase the standard font size (well font size is still set to 8, but it's somehow bigger now)? Can I fix it somehow, without correcting all my buttons etc. manually?     The standard HTTP Authentication for SOAP passed the password etc in cleartext,and I'm looking for an alternative, possibly a key based mechanism to authenticate web services in lieu of the password. OAuth is gaining a lot of popularity; would it be appropriate, and how would I implement it? Or perhaps there are other methods I should use. The project itself is relatively simple, with just a one or two methods to be exposed, but security is of the utmost importance.

I don't really like template systems that force you to make use of another language just to make it easier for designers (apparently).     Hi all, A fellow developer on a project I am on believes that doctests are as good as unit-tests, and that if a piece of code is doctested, it does not need to be unit-tested. I do not believe this to be the case. Can anyone provide some solid, ideally cited, examples either for or against the argument that doctests do not replace the need for unit-tests?     Hello I have created a setup for my windows application in .NET 2008 After building the same i have the .msi and setup.exe files in my release folder. The problem i am facing is : I can install the application using the msi installer files from the shared network folder. But when i copy the installer locally and tried to install it, i get the following error: Error reading file.Please Try again.
