• Building Eclipse RCP application, running fails

  Hi, after successfully building my application the start fails because it relies on config files which are located in the META-INF directory and after the build this directory is zipped into a jar file, hence making it unable to access the config files. After manually unzipping the jar, deleting the jar and renaming the directory with xxx.jar the program runs without a problem. The config files are needed for SSO login (Kerberos). Here is the code: Bundle bundle = Platform.getBundle(Application.PLUGIN_ID); String path; try { path = new URL(bundle.getLocation().substring(18)).getPath(); } catch (MalformedURLException e1) { System.out.println(e1); path=""; } System.setProperty("java.security.auth.login.config",path+"META-INF/jaas-win.config"); Path variable contains something like "plugin/mydomain.pluginame-xxxx.jar/" But it seems that the System needs the jar unzipped. • Error when using mailto: link in Mobile Safari in app-capable mode

  I've got a form in a web page with an action that is "mailto:email" (where email is a real email address). When I load this page in Mobile Safari in regular mode (ie, not launched from home screen with app-capable mode), this works fine - after I submit the form, the email app comes up. However, when I'm in app-capable mode and have launched from the home screen (so, no Safari chrome), and submit the form I get the error "URL can't be shown". However, a regular mailto: link (ie, not in a form) does work when in app-capable mode. Has anyone else noticed this? Any workarounds? Are forms disallowed in app-capable mode? Thanks, Elisabeth

• mootools errors in Joomla...

  Hi.. I'm having a problem.. the site is working correctly in safari, chrome and firefox (mac and win) but in Internet explorer I get an error related with mootools: Line: 59 Character: 102. The site URL is: http://my-essencia.com I've noticed that mootools is being loaded two times, maybe another component is calling it again, how can I remove this call?? or how can I locate witch component is making this call?? Another thing is the gmaps doesn't work (only in IE)(it worked before) This map is generated by a component named iproperty, I've asked in the support forums but no responses. This is very frustrating because I didn't make the site and I don't know what was installed wrong. Any advice or directions will be very appreciated. Thank you guys, Luis.

• Silverlight File download from client

  I have a Silverlight application that implements some basic CRUD operations on a fairly flat data set. The application loads all the data onto the client to allow for quick editing (this is a fairly small data set no more that a couple K). I would like to allow them to download the file as a CSV so they can edit the data locally. I know i can set up a HyperLink button to a URL on my webserver and then server the data dynamically using a custom server handler. But this seems kind of roundabout to me because the all the data is already all on the Client's machine (because the Silverlight application loaded it). So i was wondering if there was a way to prompt the user for a file download and then dynamically generate the file download stream from Silverlight?

• Cross-domain jQuery using YQL gives robots.txt error

  On the page http://qxlapps.dk/test.htm I am trying to perform an Ajax load from another domain, qxlapp.dk. I am using James Padolsey's xdomainajax.js plugin from: http://james.padolsey.com/javascript/cross-domain-requests-with-jquery/ When I open my test page, I get no output, but FireBug shows the JSON result, including the error message: "forbidden":"robots.txt for the domain disallows crawling for url: http://qxlapp.dk/projects/dagens_kup/show.php". The robots.txt on the qxlapp.dk domain contains the following: User-agent: Yahoo Pipes 2.0 Allow: / User-agent: * Allow: / So I don't see what the problem is? Shouldn't it pull the page just fine with those settings?

  Hello We are using Seam 2.2.0 Java 1.6.14 Weblogic 10.3.1.0 (named 11g Doh!) I have looked at Seam reference Seam in action These web pages However I still do not understand how to inject an EJB3 bean into a JSF backing bean. It seems to me that I have to (correct me if I am wrong) Annotate with @Name my backing bean Annotate with @Name my EJB3 bean Use the @In annotation in the backing bean Put an empty seam.properties file in the WAR that contains the backing bean Put an empty seam.properties file in the JAR that contains the EJB Set up a Seam interceptor in ejb-jar.xml of the EJB Don't I need to setup some JNDI URL somewhere? How exactly does Seam will find the EJB? The interceptor is enough? Also this means that I have to add a seam dependency in my EJB archive (because of the @Name annotation). So the web layer (Seam) "spills" into my business logic (EJB). Is this the recommended approach? Am I missing something here?

  I'm signed up, I've downloaded sample code, I've got a WSDL...and yet I have no idea how to get this stuff into my existing .Net application. The WSDL was in a zip file, not a URL so I can't just "Add Web Reference." I've run the wsdl tool from the .Net command prompt, and it made a nice class for me...yet dropping that into my web_reference folder doesn't give me any kind of instantiatable class. I know I'm missing something stupid. Can someone point me in the right direction please?

• remember password is not filling the password field automatically

  IE is not filling the password field automatically when i click on the bookmarked url. But it's working on firefix,chrome etc. I tried with autocomplete="on" but no use. IE will fill the password only When i select a usename from the possible user names which the browser had kept for each login. And when i logout, user name will be filled in without the password. ( only in IE for other browsers both are filled). Thanks....

• Problem with openssl_get_privatekey returning false

  I am trying to generate a signed url for Amazon's CloudFront service but am running into problems in that the openssl_get_privatekey function appears to be returning false and I can't quite figure out why. Here is the code (PHP) that I am using: $priv_key = file_get_contents(path_to_my_pem_file); $priv_keyid = openssl_get_privatekey($privkey); Unfortunately, everytime I try this openssl_get_privatekey fails silently and I run into errors when I try to sign with openssl_sign later on. I've tried printing out the contents of $priv_key after it has been read in and it appears to be correct. I'm running this on RHEL 5.4 using PHP 5.2.13. I've confirmed that file pem file is readable and I've also run dos2unix on it just in case (didn't work before or after). Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated as I am relatively new to both PHP and openssl.

  I have a root UIViewController which has a property called webView. WebView is a UIViewController with a XIB that contains a UIWebView. From my root view I modally (is there any other way?) load the webView ViewController and set its URL, always to the same page. I discovered that if, after loading the webView, I used its default Web page to navigate to another Web page, and then closed the webView and returned to the root controller -- AND THEN reopened the webView, that the webView was not showing the default page but rather the page I navigated to, which means the webView ViewController never got destroyed and removed from memory. This strikes me as very bad. So in the root ViewController, I added this code under viewWillAppear:animated -- if (self.webView != nil) { self.webView = nil) } Is that sufficient? Is there a better way?

• Rails link to current page and passing parameters to it

  I am adding I18N to my rails application by passing the locale using url params. My urls are looking like http://example.com/en/users and http://example.com/ar/users (for the english and arabic locales respectively). In my routes file, I have defined my routes with a :path_prefix option: map.resources :users, :path_prefix => '/:locale' And locale is being set using a before_filter defined in ApplicationController def set_locale I18n.locale = params[:locale] end I also defined ApplicationController#default_url_options, to add locale to all urls generated by the application: def default_url_options(options={}) {:locale => I18n.locale} end What I want is to add a link in the layout header (displayed in all pages) that would link to the same page but with the other locale. For instance, if I am browsing the arabic locale, I want a "English" link in the header, that will redirect me back to my current page, and set the locale to english. Is there a way to do this in rails?

What i need is to refresh the calendar each time the user changes the dropdown. • Flex HTTPService security error using Safari

  I'm using the HTTPService object in actionscript to send some data to a php file on another server which then inserts the data to a database. I set up the crossdomain.xml file in the root of the directory that contains the php file to get around any security issues. Everything works fine on Firfox 3.5 (on mac and pc) and on IE 7 & 8. When testing on Safari 4 I get an error which would be expected when a crossdomain.xml doesn't exist. [RPC Fault faultString="Security error accessing url" faultCode="Channel.Security.Error" faultDetail="Destination: DefaultHTTP"] at mx.rpc::AbstractInvoker/http://www.adobe.com/2006/flex/mx/internal::faultHandler() at mx.rpc::Responder/fault() at mx.rpc::AsyncRequest/fault() at DirectHTTPMessageResponder/securityErrorHandler() at flash.events::EventDispatcher/dispatchEventFunction() at flash.events::EventDispatcher/dispatchEvent() at flash.net::URLLoader/redirectEvent() Any ideas on how to get this to work on Safari? It's seems as if Safari isn't accessing the crossdomain.xml file.

• Ext JS how to tell PagingToolbar to use parent Grid storage?

  I'm trying to build application that use single config passed by server as non native JSON (can contain functions). Everything works fine so far but I'm curious why PagingToolbar does not have an option to use parent Grid store? I have tried to set store in my config like this, but without success: {... store:Ext.StoreMgr.lookup('unique_store_id') } Is there any way to do so without writing tons of javascript for each view defining store, grid and other items in my application or at least extend functionality of PaginationToolbar that use options from parent object? I already added the <sessionState> tag in my web.config file like this <sessionState mode="InProc" cookieless="false" timeout="20"> </sessionState> I get a session ID in my url like this if I use cookieless="true" http://localhost:2967/%28S%28hcawmi55zoruuy453fbo3k55%29%29/RmdReqBankAccount But I still can't use session variables in my application. I set the variable like this in my login method: Session["username"] = userName; and I retrieve it like this string user_id = (string)Session["username"]; I get an empty string when trying to retrieve values.

• Caspol, VMs, Mapped Drives, VS2010

  Hi I have a VM (Win7 32 bit) with VS2010 installed. I have a drive mapped into it from the host machine (VM 64 bit), when I have some of my VS2010 projects and to where I am building them. One of my projects is looking to load an assembly. If I copy that assembly to a local drive, the program ruins fine. If I leave it on the mapped drive, then I get an error Exception is: FileLoadException - Could not load file or assembly 'file:///Z:\BusinessTier\bin\Debug\BusinessTier.dll I am unsure whether or not I need to run Caspol. There is another post on SO which pointed me to a post which indicated that VS2008 SP1+ removed the need for caspol wrt network drives, but I wondered if I still needed to because I am in a VM. I have tried running the following on the host machine in an attempt to give permissions to VS inside the VM, but to no avail C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30128>caspol -m -ag 1.2 -url file://g:\* FullTrust where g:* is the drive being mapped into the VM (as drive z:) What am I missing (apart from understanding!) • iPhone UIWebView width does not fit after zooming operation + UIInterfaceOrientation change

  I created a bare bones iPhone app with a UIWebView (Scales Page to Fit = YES, shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation = YES) and loaded a webpage, e.g. http://stackoverflow.com/ Rotating the device shows that UIWebView is auto-resized to fit the width. Good. Incorrect: Zoom into the page and zoom out. Now rotating the device shows UIWebView in a weird width in one of the orientation (if u zoom in landscape, the portrait width is weird, vice versa). This behavior is fixed only when you navigate to another page. Correct: Load the same URL in Mobile Safari. Rotating works & the width fits regardless of the zooming exercise. Is this a UIWebView bug (probably not)? Or is there something that needs to be done to make things "just work" like in Mobile Safari?

• Sharepoint : Access denied when editing a page (because of page layout) or list item

  I'm logged in as the System Account, so it's probably not a "real access denied"! What I've done : - A custom master page - A custom page layout from a custom content type (with custom fields) If I add a custom field (aka "content field" in the tools in SPD) in my page layout, I get an access denied when I try to edit a page that comes from that page layout. So, for example, if I add in my page layout this line in a "asp:content" tag : I get an access denied. If I remove it, everyting is fine. (the field "test" is a field that comes from the content type). Any idea? SUMMARY You get an ACCESS DENIED when editing a PAGE or an ITEM You still get the error even if you're logged in as the Super Admin of the f****in world (sorry, I spent 3 days on that bug) For me, it happened after an import from another site definition (a cmp file) Actually, it's supposed to be a known bug and it's supposed to be fixed since February 2009, but it looks like it's not. The code I posted above should fix the thing.
