XML Schema: How to specify an attribute with a custom 'simpleType' type?

In my XML schema definition, I'm trying to restrict the value of an attribute to be an integer between 0 and 100. With reference to the sample schema below, I want attribute 'attr' on element 'root' to have this restriction. To achieve this I define a simpleType 'Percentage' and set this as the 'type' of 'attr'. Inject App Settings using Windsor

How can I inject the value of an appSettings entry (from app.config or web.config) into a service using the Windsor container? If I wanted to inject the value of a Windsor property into a service, I would do something like this: <properties> <importantIntegerProperty>666</importantIntegerProperty> </properties> <component id="myComponent" service="MyApp.IService, MyApp" type="MyApp.Service, MyApp" > <parameters> <importantInteger>#{importantIntegerProperty}</importantInteger> </parameters> </component> However, what I'd really like to do is take the value represented by #{importantIntegerProperty} from an app settings variable which might be defined like this: <appSettings> <add key="importantInteger" value="666"/> </appSettings> EDIT: To clarify; I realise that this is not natively possible with Windsor and the David Hayden article that sliderhouserules refers to is actually about his own (David Hayden's) IoC container, not Windsor. I'm surely not the first person to have this problem so what I'd like to know is how have other people solved this issue?

Flex: Menubar, menu click

I do not know why but I see that itemclick event on a menubar do not fired unless you click a sub item. What is the clean way to handle clicks on menuitems which are on the top level and do not have sub menu items. ul sortables get serialized data

Hi folks Any ideas how to get the serilized data from this function? the html is first with the JQuery function last, I cannot get the serialization to appear in the alert. jquery noob problem with variables (scope?)

XSL transformation generating output from other nodes

I have the following XSL template: <xsl:template match="SOAP-ENV:Body/*[local-name()='Publisher']"> <html> <xsl:call-template name="body" /> </html> </xsl:template> The previous template generates the output I want, it's generating the tags containing the output generated by the "body" template. The issue I'm having is that before the opening tag I'm getting text output from a previous node. Not sure why this is happening since I'm not selecting these other nodes. For example: <SOAP-ENV:Header>  </SOAP-ENV:Header> <SOAP-ENV:Body> <publishParty:Publisher>  </publishParty:Publisher> </SOAP-ENV:Body> Given the previous sample XML fragment, my output would contain what I would expect of formatting the Publisher element, but I'm also getting the text nodes of the children of the SOAP-ENV:Header node. Any ideas? Thanks!

ANT propertyfile entry is not resolving to its value

I have a value in a properties file that I want to increment while the build is running. The goal is to copy a set of files and append a number to the front of each in order to maintain the order in which they were copied into the directory. I am using the <propertyfile> task as follows: <propertyfile file="jsfiles.properties"> <entry key="file.number" type="int" operation="=" value="10" /> <entry key="file.number" type="int" default="010" operation="+" value="10" pattern="000" /> </propertyfile> Then I do the copy: <copy todir="${js-in.dir}"> <resources> ... </resources> <chainedmapper> <flattenmapper /> <globmapper from="*.js" to="${file.number}-*.js"/> </chainedmapper> </copy> This does exactly what I need it to EXCEPT that instead of the following output: 010-file1.js 020-file2.js 030-file3.js ... I get: ${file.number}-file1.js ${file.number}-file2.js ${file.number}-file3.js ... What am I doing wrong?

You always hear that functional code is inherently easier to parallelize than non-functional code, so I decided to write a function which does the following: Given a input of strings, total up the number of unique characters for each string. So, given the input [ "aaaaa"; "bbb"; "ccccccc"; "abbbc" ], our method will returns a: 6; b: 6; c: 8. Here's what I've written: (* seq<#seq<char>> -> Map<char,int> *) let wordFrequency input = input |> Seq.fold (fun acc text -> (* This inner loop can be processed on its own thread *) text |> Seq.choose (fun char -> if Char.IsLetter char then Some(char) else None) |> Seq.fold (fun (acc : Map<_,_>) item -> match acc.TryFind(item) with | Some(count) -> acc.Add(item, count + 1) | None -> acc.Add(item, 1)) acc ) Map.empty This code is ideally parallelizable, because each string in input can be processed on its own thread. Its not as straightforward as it looks since the innerloop adds items to a Map shared between all of the inputs. I'd like the inner loop factored out into its own thread, and I don't want to use any mutable state. How would I re-write this function using an Async workflow?

Hello guys I am trying to add a click event on the element that is return from the server via ajax. Apparently, I have to attached my js file inside my return response instead of my main script. Is this the best practice? Do I have to create the separated js file to add event on the return text?? Optimizing a shared buffer in a producer/consumer multithreaded environment

I have some project where I have a single producer thread which writes events into a buffer, and an additional single consumer thread which takes events from the buffer. My goal is to optimize this thing for a single machine to achieve maximum throughput. Currently, I am using some simple lock-free ring buffer (lock-free is possible since I have only one consumer and one producer thread and therefore the pointers are only updated by a single thread). #define BUF_SIZE 32768 struct buf_t { volatile int writepos; volatile void * buffer[BUF_SIZE]; volatile int readpos;) }; void produce (buf_t *b, void * e) { int next = (b->writepos+1) % BUF_SIZE; while (b->readpos == next); // queue is full. wait b->buffer[b->writepos] = e; b->writepos = next; } void * consume (buf_t *b) { while (b->readpos == b->writepos); // nothing to consume. wait int next = (b->readpos+1) % BUF_SIZE; void * res = b->buffer[b->readpos]; b->readpos = next; return res; } buf_t *alloc () { buf_t *b = (buf_t *)malloc(sizeof(buf_t)); b->writepos = 0; b->readpos = 0; return b; } However, this implementation is not yet fast enough and should be optimized further. I've tried with different BUF_SIZE values and got some speed-up. Additionaly, I've moved writepos before the buffer and readpos after the buffer to ensure that both variables are on different cache lines which resulted also in some speed. What I need is a speedup of about 400 %. Do you have any ideas how I could achieve this using things like padding etc?

Generated HTML word document not displaying image correctly

I'm trying to add an image to a generated html word document that is embedded in a classic ASP page. Your computer may not have enough memory to open the image, or the image may be corrupted. Restart your computer, and then open the file again. If the red x still appears, you may have to delete the image and then insert it again. If i copy the html code and try to open the word document on my local machine, it displays the image correctly. It just doesn't work when retrieving the document from the server. This happens for any images I try to add. Is there another way to add images to html-generated word documents that can be output from an asp page? Thanks.

How should I organize my mvc templates?

Hi, In the new version of MVC we have been given display and editor templates. I was wondering how to make the best possible use of these. I was at first thinking in the line of creating one for a collection and one for an item in the case I want to display either as a list or single but it does not really make sense to me. I'll show you what I mean and please comment if this is wrong. I have trouble figuring it out myself. <%@ Control Language="C#" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewUserControl<IEnumerable<DisplayPhoneModel>>" %> <% foreach (var item in Model){%> <%= Html.DisplayFor(x => item) %> <%}%> So in my tiny reality that would for every item in the model search for a display template for DisplayPhoneModel. jQuery - select onchange to slide in / slide out div or form

Hi, I am trying to enhance a form, by showing only relevant fields depending on initial selection via a form select field. It is an order form for 3 products and all 3 products have unique properties. My idea was to hide all the content in divs, then reveal the relevant div when the product is selected. I have found some solutions that show / hide a div, but none with any animation. It doesn't have to be a slide but just something nice! The alternative is instead of revealing a div, would be to load a seperate form, but this seems unnecessary. I am not sure whether i need a plug in, as I am pretty new to jquery. Visual C++ doesn't operator<< overload

I have a vector class that I want to be able to input/output from a QTextStream object. The forward declaration of my vector class is: namespace util { template <size_t dim, typename T> class Vector; } I define the operator<< as: namespace util { template <size_t dim, typename T> QTextStream& operator<<(QTextStream& out, const util::Vector<dim,T>& vec) { ... } template <size_t dim, typename T> QTextStream& operator>>(QTextStream& in,util::Vector<dim,T>& vec) { .. } } However, if I ty to use these operators, Visual C++ returns this error: error C2678: binary '<<' : no operator found which takes a left-hand operand of type 'QTextStream' (or there is no acceptable conversion) A few things I tried: Originaly, the methods were defined as friends of the template, and it is working fine this way with g++. The methods have been moved outside the namespace util I changed the definition of the templates to fit what I found on various Visual C++ websites. The original friend declaration is: friend QTextStream& operator>>(QTextStream& ss, Vector& in) { ... } The "Visual C++ adapted" version is: friend QTextStream& operator>> <dim,T>(QTextStream& ss, Vector<dim,T>& in); with the function pre-declared before the class and implemented after. I checked the file is correctly included using: #pragma message ("Including vector header") And everything seems fine. Doesn anyone has any idea what might be wrong?

XmlDeserializer to handle inline lists

Im looking at implementing a fix in an XmlDeserializer to allow for element lists without a specific containing element. Hey. I'm trying to build a Hibernate Criteria query to find entities that have a specific element inside a collection. We can take as an example a Book -object that looks like this: public class Book { private Long id; private String title; private Set<String> authors = new HashSet<String>(); } The entity is mapped like this: <class name="Book" table="Book"> <id name="id" column="BOOK_ID"> <generator class="native"/> </id> <property name="title"/> <set name="authors" table="Book_Authors"> <key column="BOOK_ID"/> <element type="string" column="AUTHORS"/> </set> </class> Now I would like to find out which books are written by Matt. With pure SQL I can do a query like this: String author = "Matt"; String query = "SELECT * FROM Book " + "WHERE BOOK_ID IN " + "(SELECT BOOK_ID FROM Book_Authors " + "WHERE authors = :author )"; List<Book> result = session.createSQLQuery(query) .addEntity(Book.class) .setParameter("author", author) .list(); This works all good and well, and I get out all books that Matt has been a part of writing. The project I work in, however, uses the Criteria API instead of raw SQL, and I haven't found a way to express the same query in that form. I've taken a look on the Restrictions API and the closest I've found is Restions.in(propertyName, collection) but that works the other way around (one value in object, many values to match against). Any ideas?

Can Content script set value of a text box within HTML frame? using Google Chrome extensions..

Hi all, I was working on a very simple extension, where on clicking extension icon, a webpage is opened in a new tab, the webpage has HTML frames, within which lies a textbox. I want to set a value for the same. The webpage which opens has: <HTML> <FRAMESET rows="15%, *" border="0"> <FRAME src="./files/abc.htm" id="abc_frame" name="abc_frame" onload="abcLoad()" scrolling="NO"> </FRAMESET> </HTML> and abc.htm has: <div align="center" valign="bottom" style="font-size: 1em;"> <form onSubmit="javascript:navigate(this);return false;"> <label for="loc">Loc</label>: <input type="text" size="50" id="loc" value="http://google.com"/> <input name="go" type="submit" value="Go" id="loc_go" onclick='navigate(this); return false;'/> </form> </div> how can I replace current textbox value with, say http://yahoo.com ? I guess, Content Script in Chrome extensions is required, but not sure, how/what should be it's code/content. Please guide/help. Thanks a lot. Appreciate it.

Following is my sample form. <form METHOD="post" METHOD="post" ACTION="index.php" METHOD="post" METHOD="post" METHOD="post"> <input TYPE="text" NAME="array[]" /> <input TYPE="text" NAME="array[]" /> <input TYPE="text" NAME="array[]" /> <input TYPE="text" NAME="array[]" /> <input TYPE="text" NAME="array[]" /> <input TYPE="text" NAME="array[]" /> <input TYPE="text" NAME="array[]" /> <input TYPE="text" NAME="array[]" /> <input TYPE="text" NAME="array[]" /> <input TYPE="text" NAME="array[]" /> <input TYPE="submit" NAME="submit" VALUE="Submit" /> </form> Basically I have 10 inputs of array. Assume my domain is http://domain.com and the file above is index.php. I am trying to fill the form automatically by using the following method. http://domain.com/index.php?array[]=John&array[]=Kelly ... & array[]=Steven Unfortunately, it is not working. :(
