• Debugger does not break when debugging PowerShell console

  I'm developing a binary PowerShell module. I have a post build event that copies that module into the 'modules' directory in my "Documents\WindowsPowerShell" folder. I then have the project set to launch PowerShell.exe. My module is loaded via Import-Module and off I go. The problem is my break points are never hit and the debugger does not break on exceptions. If I run PowerShell outside of Visual Studio and then attach the debugger to the process I can break just fine. The other strange this is that my break points are not empty. Typically if different source versions are loaded they will be. I'm running Visual Studio 2010 on a Win 7 box. My module is currently targeting .NET 3.5. I've tried running both the x64 and x86 versions of PS with no luck.

• How to override Equals on a object created by an Entity Data Model?

  I have an Entity Data Model that I have created, and its pulling in records from a SQLite DB. One of the Tables is People, I want to override the person.Equals() method but I'm unsure where to go to make such a change since the Person object is auto-generated and I don't even see where that autogen code resides. I know how to override Equals on a hand made object, its just where to do that on an autogen one.

  Codesign warning: provisioning is not applicable for product type 'Application' in SDK Device - iPhone OS3.1'; ignoring.. Redownloaded my developer certificate, made a new provisioning profile, still getting this error. Searched the Xcode project and removed all lines referencing a Provisioning Profile, but that didn't seem to remove it from the project settings (went to show package contents, then opened the project file). Was originally on a different machine then transferred over, if that makes a difference? Thanks

• VMware - I/O error - how to fix?

  I'm running XP pro on VMware - it mounts and runs just fine. However, if I power down the VM and try to copy it, or even if I try to do a simple Mac Backup (using Carbon Copy Cloner), I get an i/o error at one very specific VMDK file. Here's a sample of the error - this from CCC: "12/20 22:49:30 Detected input/output error 12/20 22:49:33 rsync: read errors mapping "/Users/blahblah/Documents/Virtual Machines.localized/WindowsXP-Professional150G.vmwarevm/WindowsXP-Professional150G-000001-s065.vmdk": Input/output error (5)" How can I regain my ability to do backups of my Mac without this I/O error?

  I want to understand event cycles. I have a form with a grid and textboxes. It has a grid, bound to DataTable, and textboxes bound to same table too. I'm trying to debug something and need to know how to identify ALL events fired in the form to see what may solve an issue for me. Anyhow, unless I explicitly subclass every class on my form, and override / attach to every event to my own event handlers, how can I get / listen to all events being fired during a certain action... Such as changing a "Selected" road in a DataGridView. It obviously updates its own "CurrentRow"... I need to know what / how to maybe FORCE a re-loading of SAME CurrentRow. Reason: during a form level "Edit Mode", and I change the content in another "Textbox" control, and reject changes, I need it to simulate the current "Record" is reloaded to go back to its original values.

  I have had some experience with optimizing the my.cnf file but my database has around 4 million records (MyISAM). I am trying to restore from a mysqldump but every time I do I eventually get the dreaded "Repair With Keycache", that may take days. Is there anyway to get past this and let it roll as "Repair By Sorting"? I have 2GB RAM, Dual Cores, lots of extra hard-drive space.   Hello all, I'm using C#/.NET with the C# wrapper for SQLite. I'm attempting to merge two SQLite databases together while excluding duplicates.   I have a small Windows network (~30 machines) and I need to deploy SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services. Because I use SQL Server Standard Edition and not Enterprise, I am forced to use Windows Authentication to the users. I am a Linux admin, and have near zero knowledge on Active Directory. As deep as my shallow knowledge goes, I think that I would need to invest in a domain server, a mirrored backup of that domain server. I think that I need to change every computer to use this domain too, and if the domain server goes down, every computer will be unavailable. Is there a easier way to deploy Windows Authentication so that users can access Reporting Services from their computers without changing the infra-structure that much? Thanks!

  I have a Django app that requires a settings attribute in the form of: RELATED_MODELS = ('appname1.modelname1.attribute1', 'appname1.modelname2.attribute2', 'appname2.modelname3.attribute3', ...) Then hooks their post_save signal to update some other fixed model depending on the attributeN defined. I would like to test this behaviour and tests should work even if this app is the only one in the project (except for its own dependencies, no other wrapper app need to be installed). How can I create and attach/register/activate mock models just for the test database? (or is it possible at all?) Solutions that allow me to use test fixtures would be great.
