  I am creating a Spring based JSF application, where I am getting FacesContext.getCurrentInstance which returns null. • Displaying emails in a JTable (Java Swing)

  Hi I'm new to all this. I have been trying to display fetched emails in a JTable using the JavaMail add-on. However when I ask the program to set the value it never does. I have been working in NetBeans if that is any help? the fetchMail class finds all may on a server. The gui class is used to display all emails in a table as well as creating mail. You will probably think that I have tried it like a bull in a china shop, I am new to Java and trying to give myself a challenge.   Hello, I'm developing a GPS tracking software on android. I need IPC to control the service from different activities. So I decide to develop a remote service with AIDL. This wasn't a big problem but now it's always running into the methods of the interface and not into those of my service class. Maybe someone could help me?   Hello, I am looking to optimise some sse code I wrote for converting yuv to rgb (both planar and packed yuv functions). i am using SSSE3 at the moment but if there are useful functions from later sse versions thats ok. I am mainly interested in how I would work out processor stalls and the like. • Why doesn't this code work correctly?

  I'm working on a website that displays galleries, using jCarousel. But no matter what I try, I can't get it to work, and I need to finish this by today. I have a very urgent schedule. My code basically takes image URLs from a database and sends them to AJAX, which passes it to jCarousel which makes the gallery. But there are a few problems: It doesn't display correctly! I can only get the last item pulled from the database, and it displays on the bottom-most row. After the item pulled from the database is displayed, the first time I click on "prev" there's no scroll effect, and the item just disappears! Only if I click on "next" 2-3 times there's a scroll effect and the item remains visible. My items are always displayed at the end of the carousel! This is urgent.. Now all my items are displayed, but they are displayed vertically and not horizontally on each row. Other than that all other problems are the same. EDIT: Oh and also, in the row my image displays, only the image is there. Maybe jCarousel doesn't accept img and text, I don't know.

  Hi guys, I posted much of this question, but if didn't include all the Zend stuff because I thought it'd be overkill, but now I'm thinking it's not easy to figure out an OO way of doing this without that code... So with that said, please forgive the verbose code. I'm learning how to use MVC and OO in general, and I have a website that is all in PHP but most of the pages are basic static pages. I have already converted them all to views in Zend Framework, and have the Controller and layout set. All is good there. The one remaining page I have is the main reason I did this...it in fact uses Zend library (for gData connection and pulling info from a Google Calendar and displaying it on the page. I don't know enough about this to know where to begin to refactor the code to fit in the Zend Framework MVC model.   I am building a home page for my minecraft server. Probably in the following 4-6 months I will opend my second and this is why I am in trouble. My first site is 1000 pixel wide, and the second will be 1200. First big difference. My menus are dinamically generated by my php code. It checks on my databases if there is another button or it is over. These buttons can be added or removed directly online. Another big issue is the browser compatibility. In a survey I did on our previous server I had a lot of users using: chrome, internet explorer, safari and firefox. That means that I must find a solution that is compatible with most browsers. What do I have to do? I came up with this CSS, which is touch compatible, it allows menus to be swapped to the left and it is enough to set 1 parameter to fix it for every page width.   Hi all. I have the following problem: I'm using L2S for generating entity classes. All these classes share the same property ID which is autonumber. So I figured to put this property to base class and extend all entity classes from the base one. In order to be able to read the value I'm using the override modifier on this property in each and every entity class. Up to now it's live and kicking. Then I decided to introduce another tier - services using WCF approach. I've modified the Serialization mode to Unidirectional (and added the IsReference=true attribute to enable two directions), also added [DataContract] attribute to the BaseObject class. WCF is able to transport the whole object but one property , which is ID. Applying [DataMember] attribute on ID property at the base class resulted in nothing. Am I missing something? Is what I'm trying to achieve possible at all? • Can't figure out where race condition is occuring

  I'm using Valgrind --tool=drd to check my application that uses Boost::thread. Basically, the application populates a set of "Book" values with "Kehai" values based on inputs through a socket connection. On a seperate thread, a user can connect and get the books send to them. Its fairly simple, so i figured using a boost::mutex::scoped_lock on the location that serializes the book and the location that clears out the book data should be suffice to prevent any race conditions.   I have implemented my own TraceListener similar to http://blogs.technet.com/b/meamcs/archive/2013/05/23/diagnostics-of-cloud-services-custom-trace-listener.aspx . One thing I noticed is that that logs show up immediately in My Azure Table Storage. I wonder if this is expected with Custom Trace Listeners or because I am in a development environment. • Null-free "maps": Is a callback solution slower than tryGet()?

  In comments to "How to implement List, Set, and Map in null free design?", Steven Sudit and I got into a discussion about using a callback, with handlers for "found" and "not found" situations, vs. a tryGet() method, taking an out parameter and returning a boolean indicating whether the out parameter had been populated. Steven maintained that the callback approach was more complex and almost certain to be slower; I maintained that the complexity was no greater and the performance at worst the same. But code speaks louder than words, so I thought I'd implement both and see what I got. The original question was fairly theoretical with regard to language ("And for argument sake, let's say this language don't even have null") -- I've used Java here because that's what I've got handy. Java doesn't have out parameters, but it doesn't have first-class functions either, so style-wise, it should suck equally for both approaches. (Digression: As far as complexity goes: I like the callback design because it inherently forces the user of the API to handle both cases, whereas the tryGet() design requires callers to perform their own boilerplate conditional check, which they could forget or get wrong. But having now implemented both, I can see why the tryGet() design looks simpler, at least in the short term.) This fits with my instinct, which is that we're basically talking about taking the same number of method calls, conditional checks, etc. and rearranging them. But then, I wrote the code, so I might well have written a suboptimal or subconsicously penalized tryGet() implementation. Thoughts?

  I experience the following problem while using legacy VC6. I just cann't switch to modern compiler, as I am working on a legacy code base. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/172396 Since there are no way to export map, my planned workaround is using static linking instead of dynamic linking. I was wondering whether you all had encountered the similar situation? What is your workaround for this? Another workaround is to create wrapper class around the stl map, to ensure creation and accessing stl map, are within the same DLL space.   I'm attempting to make my menu navigable with the arrow keys or via the d-pad on a controller. So Far I've had no luck. The question is: Can someone walk me through how to make my current menu or any libgdx menu keyboard accessible? I'm a bit noobish with some stuff and I come from a Javascript background.   So this is my first foray into threads and thus far it is driving me insane. My problem seems to be some kind of synchronization error that causes my consumer thread to hang. I've looked at other code and just about everything I could find and I can't find what my error is. There also seems to be a discrepancy between the code being executed in Eclipse and via javac in the command line. Intention - Using a bounded buffer (with 1000 slots) create and consume 1,000,000 doubles. Use only notify and wait. Problem - In Eclipse the consumer thread will occasionally hang around 940,000 iterations, but other times completes. In the command line the consumer thread always hangs.   I am currently doing a producer consumer problem with a number of threads and have had to set priorities and waits to them to ensure that one thread, the security thread, runs last. I have managed to do this and I have managed to get the buffer working. The last thing that I am required to do is to show the wait time of threads that are too large for the buffer and to calculate the average wait time. I have included code to do so, but everything I run the program, the wait time is always returned as 00:00:00, and by extension, the average is returned as the same. I was speaking to one of my colleagues who said that it is not a matter of the code but rather a matter of the computer needing to work off of one processor, which can be adjusted in the task manager settings. He has an HP like myself but his program prints the wait time 180 times, whereas mine prints usually about 3-7 times and is only 00:00:01 on one instance before finishing when I have made the processor adjustments. My other colleague has an iMac and hers puts out an average of 42:00:34(42 minutes??) I am very confused about this because I can see no difference between our codes and like my colleague said, I was wondering is it a computer issue. I am obviously concerned as I wanted to make sure that my code correctly calculated an average wait time, but that is impossible to tell when the wait times always show as 00:00:00. To calculate the thread duration, including the time it entered and exited the buffer was done by using a timestamp import, and then subtracting start time from end time. Is my code correct for this issue or is there something which is missing? I would be very grateful for any solutions.   Following exception is thrown every once in a while and it shows up in localhost log file in tomcat log directory. If anyone know how to get rid of it, all help would be appreciated. BTW the filter is working fine I just don't know why this exception is happening. The reason for integrating this filter comes from Spring security FAQs: I'm using Tomcat (or some other servlet container) and have enabled HTTPS for my login page, switching back to HTTP afterwards. It doesn't work - I just end up back at the login page after authenticating. This happens because sessions created under HTTPS, for which the session cookie is marked as “secure”, cannot subsequently be used under HTTP. The browser will not send the cookie back to the server and any session state will be lost (including the security context information). Starting a session in HTTP first should work as the session cookie won't be marked as secure.
