• How to use SQL file streaming win32 API and support WCF streaming

  I'm using Sql server file stream type to store large files in the backend. I'm trying to use WCf to stream the file across to the clients. I'm able to get the handle to the file using SQLFileStream (API). I then try to return this stream. I have implemenetd data chunking on the client side to retrive the data from the stream. I'm able to do it for regular filestream and memory stream. Also if i convert then sqlfilestream in to memorystream that also works. The only think that doesn't work is when I try to return sqlfilestream. What am I doing wrong. I have tried both nettcpbinding with streaming enabled and http binding with MTOM encoding. This is the error message am getting : Socket connection was aborted. This could be caused by an error processing your mesage or a receive timeout being exceeded by the remote host, or an underlying network issue.. Local socket timneout was 00:09:59.... Is there a way to override the 2-3 retries to say, 1 retry for each channel? Thanks in advance for answers.

  Hi, I have inherited some code in which I now have to add CSRF prevention and am trying to use the struts2 tokenSession interceptor to do this. The code works as expected without this interceptor. (struts2 xml file not posted - will post the relevant section if required). I have also used the tokenSession interceptor in other pages which use a basic html submit button (i.e. not going via javascript or jquery) and this also works as expected. What is making the token invalid? N.B. The project I have inherited uses a strange mixture of standard html, struts2 tags, ExtJS and JQuery. I will clean this up at some point but at the moment I just need to get the tokenSession interceptor working asap in the code as-is (as I have to apply a similar fix to several hundred pages...). • IIS7 MVC deploy - 404 not found on actions that accept "id" parameter.

  Hello. Once deployed parts of my web-application stop working. Index-es on each controller do work, and one form posting via Ajax, Login works too. Other then that yields 404. I understand that nothing particular should be done in integrated mode. I don't know how to proceed with troubleshooting. Some info: App is using default app pool set to integrated mode. WebApp is done in net framework 3.5. I use default routing model. Along web.config in root there is web.config in /View folder referencing HttpNotFoundHandler. OS is Windows Server 2008. Admins issued aspnet_regiis.exe -i IIS 7 Any help is appreciated. Thx. EDIT: I determined that only actions that accept ID parameter don't work. On the contrary, when I add dummy id method in Home controller of default MVC app it works.   I am trying to implement simple xhr abstraction, and am getting this warning when trying to set the headers for a POST. I think it might have something to do with setting the headers in a separate js file, because when i set them in the <script> tag in the .html file, it worked fine. The POST request is working fine, but I get this warning, and am curious why. I get this warning for both content-length and connection headers, but only in WebKit browsers (Chrome 5 beta and Safari 4). In Firefox, I don't get any warnings, the Content-Length header is set to the correct value, but the Connection is set to keep-alive instead of close, which makes me think that it is also ignoring my setRequestHeader calls and generating it's own. I have not tried this code in IE. • How can I force a tree itemrenderer to redraw during a drag and drop operation?

  I have a tree control with a custom item renderer. The item renderer has different states that should be set while an item is being dragged over the item renderer. I understand from reading this post http://forums.adobe.com/message/2091088 that the 'right way' to do this is to override the 'getCurrentState' method and append some text. I do that. Now in my tree control I handle the drag over event and get a reference to the itemrenderer that is being dragged over and I set the boolean 'dragOver' property to true. Now I just need to force my itemRenderer to redraw. I can't figure that out. A workaround, is to just set the currentState of the itemRenderer. My question then, how can I force my itemRenderer to refresh? • Defining an Entity Framework 1:1 association

  I'm trying to define a 1:1 association between two entities (one maps to a table and the other to a view - using DefinedQuery) in an Entity Framework model. When trying to define the mapping for this in the designer, it makes me choose the (1) table or view to map the association to. What am I supposed to choose? I can choose either of the two tables but then I am forced to choose a column from that table (or view) for each end of the relationship. I would expect to be able to choose a column from one table for one end of the association and a column from the other table for the other end of the association, but there's no way to do this. Here I've chosen to map to the "DW_ WF_ClaimInfo" view and it is forcing me to choose two columns from that view - one for each end of the relationship. The correct sql would be: CREATE TABLE SubSonicSchemaInfo ( version int DEFAULT (0), constraint DF_SubSonicSchemaInfo_version primary key (version) ) The funny thing is that since this is the very first sql executed by subsonic migrations, NOBODY EVER TESTED it on oracle.

If I log in, the dialog box gets redirected to my Connect URL, but there's no fb cookie, so of course nothing works. What am I doing wrong here?

  I'm trying to access a SOAP service i don't control. One of the actions is called ProcessMessage. I follow example and generate a SOAP request, but I get an error back saying that the action doesn't exist. I traced the problem to the way the body of the envelope is generated. <env:Envelope ... "> <env:Header> <wsse:Security ... "> <wsse:UsernameToken ..."> <wsse:Username>USER</wsse:Username> <wsse:Nonce>658e702d5feff1777a6c741847239eb5d6d86e48</wsse:Nonce> <wsu:Created>2010-02-18T02:05:25Z</wsu:Created> <wsse:Password ... >password</wsse:Password> </wsse:UsernameToken> </wsse:Security> </env:Header> <env:Body> <wsdl:ProcessMessage> <payload> ...... </payload> </wsdl:ProcessMessage> </env:Body> </env:Envelope> That ProcessMessage tag should be : <ProcessMessage xmlns="http://www.starstandards.org/webservices/2005/10/transport"> That's what it is when it is generated by the sample java app, and it works. That tag is the only difference between what my ruby app generates and the sample java app. Is there any way to get rid of the "wsdl:" namesaplce in front of that one tag and add an attribute like that. Barring that, is there a way to make force the action to be not to be generated by just passed as a string like the rest of the body? When I creating the SettingsForm and change AccountList Settings value, the user.config file changes as excepected. My Apply/Ok button for my SettingsForm calls Settings.Save() then Settings.Reload() then closes the form. The problem is that when .Reload() is called, the Settings.AccountList becomes null. Whats more is that the user.config file never changes, if i close the application and reopen, the user.config file is still correct, but the Settings.AccountList is never read in. The Settings.AccountList is read in if i never call the .Reload() however. Update: If I create a List and Save(); from my MainForm, then the AccountList will be read in from my user.config fine. However If I add to the AccountList using my secondary form (SettingsForm) and call Save() then the next time the application is run the settings are not read in and a null value is returned in it's place. This happens even if I do not use Reload(). I think the problem has something to do with using the Generic List<. The AccountKeyClass that is being saved is saved as Serialized XML.
