    Hi there, I'm loosing my hair trying to figure out why net.sf.json.JSONObject add extra backslash where it shouldn't on my java code : JSONObject obj = new JSONObject (); obj.element ("column_name", "<a href=\"#\" title=\"test\">Test !</a>"); will output : <a href=\"#\" title=\"test\">Test !<\/a> with an extra "\" near <\/a.     This question will probably end in a facepalm, but I've tried for a while and am still stuck despite reading through the hyperspec. Basically what I want to do is something like (format t "~{|~{ ~5d~}|~%~}" '((1 23 2 312) (23 456 1 7890))) but instead of hard-coding the 5 it should be calculated from the list (length of longest element from any nested list + 1) to give something like | 1 23 2 312| | 23 456 1 7890| Maybe I'm thinking way too complicated here and there is an easier way to do what I want, but I think I ran myself into a mental corner that I can't get out of.

    Example: There is a matrix of data called VE There is a vector of string where the first element is the string VE. I need to indirectly call the string and be able to access data. For example if I need the 6th column of matrix VE then I want to do: Vector[1][,6] Essentially I need R to start reading those string as if they are the matrix names that are already in this page. I need this syntax to be dynamic because I am putting it in a loop.

    I'm trying to get the last tweet from the people I follow using the twitter api (http://api.twitter.com/1/statuses/friends.json&screen_name=[username]), but I noticed that if the user's last tweet is a retweet, the json data does not contain a "status" element. Using the "user timeline" api does not work either, the last tweet is the last non retweeted tweet. Is there a way to get the real last status, even if it's a RT, through the twitter API?

If it was a named function I would simply refer it by name: foo.call('#ahref'); How could I use .call() though, if the function is called inline and does not have a name?

    I have a c++ project being developed in QT. The problem I'm running in to is I am wanting to have a single base class that all my property classes inherit from so that I can store them all together. Right now I have: class AbstractProperty { public: AbstractProperty(QString propertyName); virtual QString toString() const = 0; virtual QString getName() = 0; virtual void fromString(QString str) = 0; virtual int toInteger() = 0; virtual bool operator==(const AbstractProperty &rightHand) = 0; virtual bool operator!=(const AbstractProperty &rightHand) = 0; virtual bool operator<(const AbstractProperty &rightHand) = 0; virtual bool operator>(const AbstractProperty &rightHand) = 0; virtual bool operator>=(const AbstractProperty &rightHand) = 0; virtual bool operator<=(const AbstractProperty &rightHand) = 0; protected: QString name; }; then I am implementing classes such as PropertyFloat and PropertyString and providing implementation for the comparator operators based on the assumption that only strings are being compared with strings and so on. However the problem with this is there would be no compiletime error thrown if i did if(propertyfloat a < propertystring b) however my implementation of the operators for each derived class relies on them both being the same derived class. So my problem is I cant figure out how to implement a property structure so that I can have them all inherit from some base type but code like what I have above would throw a compile time error. Any ideas on how this can be done? For those familiar with QT I tried using also a implementation with QVariant however QVariant doesn't have operators < and defined in itself only in some of its derived classes so it didn't work out. What my end goal is, is to be able to generically refer to properties. I have an element class that holds a hashmap of properties with string 'name' as key and the AbstractProperty as value. I want to be able to generically operate on the properties. i.e. if I want to get the max and min values of a property given its string name I have methods that are completely generic that will pull out the associated AbstactProperty from each element and find the max/min no matter what the type is. so properties although initially declared as PropertyFloat/PropertyString they will be held generically.

    I was trying to get fresh copy of my project from github using tortoise svn client. But I am getting following exception. The PROPFIND request returned invalid XML in the response: XML parse error at line 1: no element found (Checkout from https://github.com/anoopchaurasia/JavaScript-File-Manager.git) When I tried to checkout using subeclipse on Eclipse, it saying "Folder does not exist.". I am able to checkout same repository on my other system.

  • Seperating two graphs based on connectivity and coordinates

    I would like to separate existing data of vertices and edges into two or more graphs that are not connected. I would like to give the following as example: Imagine two hexagons on top of each other but are lying in different Z. Hexagon 1 has the following vertices A(0,0,1), B(1,0,2), C(2,1,2), D(1,2,1), E(0,2,1), F(-1,2,1). The connectivity is as following: A-B, B-C, C-D, D-E, E-F, F-A. This part of Graph 1 as all the vertices are connected in this layer. Hexagon2 has the following vertices A1(0,0,6), B1(1,0,7), C1(2,1,7), D1(1,2,8), E1(0,2,7), F1(-1,2,6). The connectivity is as following: A1-B1, B1-C1, C1-D1, D1-E1, E1-F1, F1-A1. This is part of Graph 2 My data is in the following form: list of Vertices and list of Edges that i can form graphs with. I would like to eliminate graph 2 and give only vertices and connectivity of graph 1 to polygon determination part of my algorithm. My real data contains around 1000 connected polygons as graph 1 and around 100 (much larger in area) polygons as graph 2. I would like to eliminate graph 2. I am programming this in python.     Cenario: I have a GridView bound to a DataSource, every column is sortable. my main query is something like: select a, b, c, d, e, f from table order by somedate desc i added a filter form where i can define values to each one of the fields and get the results of a where form. As a result from this, i had to do a custom sorting so that when i sort by a field, i am sorting the filtered query and not the main one. Now i have to do custom paging, for the same reason, but i don't understand the philosophy of it: I want to guarantee that i can: filter the results sort by a column when i click on page 2, i get page two of the filtered and sorted results I don't know what i have to do, so i can bind the GV with this. My sorting Method, that is working just fine looks something like: string condition = GetConditions(); //gets a string like " where a>1 and b>2" depending on the filter the user defines string query = "select a, b, c, d, e, f from table "; string direction = (e.SortDirection == SortDirection.Ascending)? To me the only place you define what menu is linked to the element you call buildMenu on is the 'template' construction which is a external file. Thanks.

    Hello, I'm having a problem similar to the one described here (without a resolution): http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2467745/ie7-float-and-clear-on-the-same-element The following HTML renders as intended in Firefox but not in (both) IE7 and IE8: <html> <head> <style> ul { list-style-type: none; } li { clear: both; padding: 5px; } .left { clear: left; float: left; } .middle { clear: none; float: left; } .right { clear: right; float: left; } </style> </head> <body> <ul> <li>1</li> <li class="left">2</li> <li class="right">3</li> <li class="left">4</li> <li class="middle">5</li> <li class="right">6</li> <li>7</li> </ul> </body> </html> This is a form layout, and in Firefox the results appear like: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 That's what I'm going for. In IE7 and IE8 however, the results are: 1 2 3 5 6 4 7 [Note: I don't want to float anything to the right because I want the fields on my form to left-align correctly, without a giant space in-between the floated fields to account for the parent container's width.] Apparently I need a full clear, and can probably add an empty list-item element to the list to force clearing, but that seems like a dumb solution and sort of defeats the purpose. Any ideas? I've spent a few hours reading and trying different options without success.

    if I erase an element from an std::set and pass the key, not the iterator, and the key isn't in the set right now, will an exception be thrown? The thing is every second sentence in the MSDN documentation says: "this does blah blah, but it doesn't conform to the standard". So I need to know the standard behaviour.   • The Function Works But Reports this.refresh() is not a function

    I get this.refresh() is not a function in the error log every time I use this function but it works fine. Also, when I click on this function for the first time, this.value=undefined. When I click the function again in this form and every other form, the value populates just fine with the previous value. What could I be doing wrong? How do I write this function more efficiently? I still don't quite understand how to use this.value to capture and store a value within an array.   • How would I go about letting a user add and associate a comma separated list of categories while add

    I've been struggling for quite a while to get this feature working: I want my user to be able to select categories when uploading a photograph, but additionally be able to specify a comma-separated list of categories to create/find and associate with the photograph. I've had this working by using an attr_accessor :new_categories on the photographs model, but having that there without the column existing breaks both Paperclip and Exifr. Obviously, image upload and EXIF data retrieval are pretty important for a photography website, but not being able to add categories while uploading a photograph is a pain in the arse. Methods I've tried so far: Using attr_accessor to add a field for new_categories. Breaks gems. Using an Ajax sub-form to add categories. Formtastic can't handle it. Adding a column for new_categories to the photograph model. It works, but it's horrific. I haven't tried using a nested form, but I'd need to intercept it and stop it from processing it as normal.
