  • Should I use my models in a library?

    I've got my auth library in codeigniter which accesses the database to check to see if the email/password combination is correct. If I'm sticking to the MVC practice, should I move the function that interacts with the database to my model, or is it best practice to leave it where it is so I can use it in the future? Doesn't make much difference to me, other than the fact I'd have to re-write the library and create the function in my model, but if that's the way it should be then so be it.

    Does anyone know of a C# spell check library that would underline misspelled works in a windows form text box? In the past, I've used NetSpell and works great if users use the dialog box. I'm thinking I might be able to automatically call the spell check while text is being updated and underline the text. Anyone have any good ideas on what would be the best way to go about doing it?

  • node.js and jsdom - no way to detect that an http 500 error was returned?

    I'm using jsdom with node.js and I'm trying to get it to provide me with some indication that an http error has occurred. I've set up a test server that simply returns an http 500 header for all requests, but when I attempt to load it with jsdom, jsdom doesn't throw any error and doesn't seem to provide me with any information that would identify that an http 500 error was returned. What's the best way to detect an http 500 error?

  • MySQL upload CSV file as new table

    I frequently upload CSV files to a MySQL db. It is very convenient to use LOAD DATA LOCAL INFILE to upload the data, but I can't use this to create the table itself. As of now, the best method I have is to use PHP to get the field titles from the first row of the file and then put together a CREATE table query. Is there a more convenient way to do this?

    Even if I have different modules in my jee application including myproject-web and myproject-ejb; is it possible to call (or inject) my ejb session bean which is in the ejb module from a managed bean which is in the web module?     Hi, Did any one over here work in "VisIt" visualization software? I have a dataset where the x, y, z coordinates are stored in separate bin files, i don't know how to visualize these files in VisIt, which would be the best file format to use. Till now, we were using Advanced Visual System (AVS) .fld files to read the data in AVS, now we have to switch to VisIt, don't know how to do it.
