(Exception from HRESULT: 0x800700C1) Source Error: Line 1: <%@ Application Codebehind="Global.asax.cs" Inherits="PMP.MvcApplication" Language="C#" % Yesterday, I shut up my WIN7, an windows update was pending there without any process for nearly one hour, then I shut my laptop . and when i re-opened my win7 and ran the PMP MVC application, this error occured. I finished that pending windows update. but no help. I googed to find that should re-install .net framework 1.1/2.1, i tried but nothing good happend, this error always here. I even spent 4 hrs to re-install vs2010, but still cannot solve this. If i need to re-install WIN7 for this , i will be crazy at all... How this happened? and how to overcome it?   So, I have a form where I load divs as I go asking for various user input and displaying some offers. If I remove the validation methods (rules, messages, submitHandler), everything works fine. • Rotating an Image in Silverlight without cropping

  I am currently working on a simple Silverlight app that will allow people to upload an image, crop, resize and rotate it and then load it via a webservice to a CMS. Cropping and resizing is done, however rotation is causing some problems. The image gets cropped and is off centre after the rotation. • Pointing non-www to a spcific sub-directory

  I might be going about this all wrong so let me know if I am. I am creating software that allows people to sign up and have their own sub-domain on my website. So say my website is ben.com, they could have their own sub-domain called juice.ben.com. When they type their sub-domain juice.ben.com in their address bar, it will load the contents in a root directory. I have also set-up a .htaccess redirect to redirect www.ben.com to ben.com. Not sure if this matters with my question but I thought I'd mention it. Ok, so basically what I think I need to do is put the software they they've signed up to in the root directory. So when someone goes to juice.ben.com, they will be pointed to the root directory (I beleive I cans et-up wild card sub-domains with my host) and the software will then analyse their sub-domain and then display their account. Now, if someone just types in ben.com into their browser, I want it to show the contents of the ben.com/_website/ folder but still show in the address bar that they are still in the root directory. Hopefully I am making sense :) Is this possible with htaccess? If so, what do I need to do?

  Hi How can I do these 2 scenarios. First I validate the records one at a time. I then want to insert them into the database but instead of doing submitChanges() after each record I want to do a mass submit at the end. I first validate it. If valid then I have to update a table before I insert the record. I then insert the record. After that I want to save everything in one go. I am not sure if I can do a mass save when updating of if that has to be after every time or what. But I thought it would work for sure for the insert one. Nothing seems to crash and I am not sure how to check if the records are being added to the dbcontext.

  I'm working on a PoSh project that generates CSharp code, and then Add-Types it into memory. The new types use existing types in an on disk DLL, which is loaded via Add-Type. All is well and good untill I actualy try to invoke methods on the new types. • IIS 6 with wildcard mapping and UNC virtual directory problem

  Hi. On our production servers (win 2003 with IIS6 and load balanced with an F5 BIGIP), we have a problem when introducing wildcardmapping on IIS6. We use .net Framework 3.5 SP1. The issue manifests itself as by the server only sometimes serving the images stored on a virtual directory pointing to a UNC path. Sometimes the images are displayed, and sometimes not. Removing the wildcard mapping solved this problem. I will need wildcard mapping on the server for future features, so any help/pointers to if this is a known problem will be very helpful. In advance, thanks for any help.   Hi. I want to use this plugin, but I don't know if it'll meet all of my requirements. I know I have to use JSON to fetch the data from the server and then use it at the client side, is that right?. For now, that's fine, because I only have very few records, but when I have thousands of ; will it be convenient to bring all the data at once? What I would like to know is : Is there any way to query the database every time I press the number of an specific page? I ask this cause I don't think is a good idea to load all the data in one go, is it? • EWS: RemoveExtendedProperty throws error when used on an occurrence of a recurring appointment

  I am developing an application that syncs an exchange calendar to another calendar. I put extended properties on the exchange appointments in order to preserve the mapping between appointments in the two calendars. Everything is working fine until I try to remove an extended property from an occurrence of a recurring appointment. When I try doing this, I get the error: The delete action is not supported for this property. • Differing paths for lua script and app

  My problem is that I'm having trouble specifying paths for Lua to look in. For example, in my script I have a require("someScript") line that works perfectly (it is able to use functions from someScript when the script is run standalone. However, when I run my app, the script fails. I believe this is because Lua is looking in a location relative to the application rather than relative to the script. Hardcoding the entire path down to the drive isn't an option since people can download the game wherever they like so the highest I can go is the root folder for the game. We have XML files to load in information on objects. In them, when we specify the script the object uses, we only have to do something like Content\Core\Scripts\someScript.lua where Content is in the same directory as Debug and the app is located inside Debug. If I try putting that (the Content\Core...) in Lua's package.path I get errors when I try to run the script standalone. I'm really stuck, and am not sure how to solve this. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. P.S. When I print out the default package.path in the app I see syntax like ;.\?.lua in a sequence like... ;.\?.lua;c:...(long file path)\Debug\?.lua; I assume the ; means the end of the path, but I have no idea what the .\?.lua means. Any Lua file in the directory?

• WCF timeout exception on calling service on 11th time

  I'm creating a WCF service and stumbled with request timeout problem. When I load test the service the 11th call always fails with "System.Net.WebException: The operation has timed out". I have read that would happen if serviceThrotling is set to defaults so I added following lines to my service configuration file <behavior name="ServiceBehavior"> <!-- ... --> <serviceThrottling maxConcurrentCalls="100" maxConcurrentSessions="100" maxConcurrentInstances="100" /> </behavior> But this doesn't help. I thought that closing the proxy might be a problem, but I do close all proxies. try { response = service.GetCustomerHdQuotes(request); } finally { try { if (service.State != CommunicationState.Faulted) service.Close(); else service.Abort(); // Abort if the State is Faulted. } catch (Exception) { service.Abort(); } } I also have an idea that inside service some resources pile up preventing service to accept new connections, but the fact that this is always 11th request points that this is more likely due to some configuration problems. Can anybody help me with that?

• How to return DropDownList selections dynamically in C#?

  This is probably a simple question but I am developing a web app in C# with DropDownList. Currently it is working for just one DropDownList. But now that I modified the code so that number of DropDownLists that should appear is dynamic, it gives me error; "The name 'ddl' does not exist in the current context." The reason for this error is that there a multiple instances of 'ddl' = number of counters. So how do I instead return more than one 'ddl'? Like what return type should this method have instead? And how do I return these values? • Subsonic Access To App.Config Connection Strings From Referenced DLL in Powershell Script

  I've got a DLL that contains Subsonic-generated and augmented code to access a data model. Actually, it is a merged DLL of that original assembly, Subsonic itself and a few other referenced DLL's into a single assembly, called "PowershellDataAccess.dll. However, it should be noted that I've also tried this referencing each assembly individually in the script as well and that doesn't work either. I am then attempting to use the objects and methods in that assembly. In this case, I'm accessing a class that uses Subsonic to load a bunch of records and creates a Lucene index from those records. The problem I'm running into is that the call into the Subsonic method to retrieve data from the database says it can't find the connection string. I'm pointing the AppDomain at the appropriate config file which does contain that connection string, by name. Here's the script. $ScriptDir = Get-Location [System.IO.Directory]::SetCurrentDirectory($ScriptDir) [Reflection.Assembly]::LoadFrom("PowershellDataAccess.dll") [System.AppDomain]::CurrentDomain.SetData("APP_CONFIG_FILE", "$ScriptDir\App.config") $indexer = New-Object LuceneIndexingEngine.LuceneIndexGenerator $indexer.GeneratePageTemplateIndex("PageTemplateIndex"); I went digging into Subsonic itself and the following line in Subsonic is what's looking for the connection string and throwing the exception: ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings[connectionStringName] So, out of curiosity, I created an assembly with a single class that has a single property that just runs that one line to retrieve the connection string name. I created a ps1 that called that assembly and hit that property. That prototype can find the connection string just fine. Anyone have any idea why Subsonic's portion can't seem to see the connection strings?

• App freezing after lunch without any Error on Iphone Simulator?

  HI.I am using CoreData on my UITable to show some records.It works when I first run.But if I run my app on simulator second time it shows up with data but then it stops.Sometimes it quits from app or it only froze and i cant click on table or tab bar. I looked also on Console but I thought there is no error.Here output from console The Debugger has exited with status 0.   Hi All, We currently have two asp.net 2.x web applications and we need to perform the following functionality: From one application, we want to auto-login to the other web application automatically in a new tab; using the same browser instance/window. So the process is: Open New Window/Tab With Second System URL/Login Page Wait For Popup Window/Tab Page To Load (DOM Ready?) OnPopupDomReady { Get Usename, Password, PIN Controls (jQuery Selectors) and Populate In Code Then Click Login Button (All Programatically). } I am currently using JavaScript to Open the window as follows: <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function () { $('a[rel="external"]').click(function () { window.open($(this).attr('href')); return false; }); }); </script> I would like to use jQuery chaining functionality if possible to extent the method above so that I can attach a DOM Ready event to the popped up page and then use that event to call a method on the code behind of the popped up page to automatically login.   Hi, We are developing a Online Ordering Website and we are planning to be completely flexible in the sense Layout can be changed, Color, Font , and in a page a component(div) can be added. • Repository pattern with lazying loading using POCO

  Hi, I'm in the process of starting a new project and creating the business objects and data access etc. I'm just using plain old clr objects rather than any orms. I've created two class libraries: 1) Business Objects - holds all my business objects, all this objects are light weight with only properties and business rules. 2) Repository - this is for all my data access. The majority of my objects will have child list in and my question is what is the best way to lazy load these values as I don't want to bring back unnecessary information if I dont need to. I've thought about when using the "get" on the child property to check if its "null" and if it is call my repository to get the child information. This has two problems from what I can see: 1) The object "knows" how to get itself I would rather no data access logic be held in the object. 2) This required both classes to reference each other which in visual studio throws a circular dependency error. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to overcome this issue or any recommendations on my projects layout and where it can be improved? Thanks

• Response.TransmitFile problem

  I have the following code delivering a file to users when they click on a download link. For security purposes I can't just link directly to the file so this was set up to decode the url and transmit the file. It has been working fine for a while but recently I started having problems where the file will start downloading but there's no indication of how large the file is. Because of this when the download should stop, it doesn't. The file is about 99mb but when I download it, the browser just keeps downloading way beyond 100mb. I don't know what it's downloading but if I don't cancel it, it doesn't stop. So, my question is, is there either an alternative to transmitfile or a way to make sure the size of the file is sent also so that it stops at the right time? I don't want to use writefile because I don't want to load the entire file into memory since it's so large. Thanks. • ASP MVC C#: LINQ Foreign Key Constraint conflicts

  I'm having a problem with LINQ. I have 2 tables (Parent-child relation) Table1: Events (EventID, Description) Table2: Groups (GroupID, EventID(FK), Description) Now i want to create an Event an and a child. Event e = new Event(); e.Description = "test"; Datacontext.Events.InsertOnSubmit(event) Group g = new Group(); g.Description = "test2"; g.EventID = e.EventID; Datacontext.Groups.InsertOnSubmit(g); Datacontext.SubmitChanges(); When i debug, i can see that after inserting the event. the EventID has gotten a new value (auto increment). But when Datacontext.SubmitChanges(); gets called. I get the following exception "The INSERT statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY constraint ... I know this can be solved by creating a relation in the LINQ diagram between Events and groups. And then setting the entity itself. But i don't want to load the events everytime i ask a list of groups. All i need is some way that when inserting the group fails, the event insert won't be comitted in the database. Sorry if this is a bit unclear, My english isn't really good. Thanks in advance!

• C# Assembly not found at runtime

  A strange error begans to happen with my XNA project on a new pc. I have two projects on the solution and a library that is used by both of them. One of the projects, a XNA Game Project, runs perfectly. The other project is a mix of WindowsForm and XNA. The form launches a XNA class when a button is clicked. When I run the program, it works great till the moment I click the button which launch the XNA class. A FileNotFoundException is fired exactly at the moment that the constructor will be executed. System.IO.FileNotFoundException was unhandled Message="Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Xna.Framework, Version=3.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=6d5c3888ef60e27d' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the path specified." The reference is correct, there is no problem on compilation. We already tried to delete the reference and add it again but it didn't work. Everything worked correctly in others teammate's pc. Anyone has any idea what is the problem?
