  i have the submit form with multiple file upload control(java script).when i will run the code is working well and showing me the form proper.i will fill the information properly and also file upload is working ok.but on clicking of Submit button the Mozilla shows me the "The connection was reset" exception.but if i was not upload any file by using the file upload then it never shows me any error.it save in database properly. i cant understand the problem please anybody help me out. • Checking if MySQL Database data does not exist

  I have my songs set-up in my MySQL database. Each song is is either assigned multiple locations or has no locations at all. Only the songs that either have no locations assigned in the database or have the location assigned to the ones specified below should be pulled from the database. Hopefully when you understand my query below it will make sense SELECT s.* FROM roster_songs AS s LEFT JOIN roster_songs_locations AS sl ON sl.song_id = s.id WHERE EXISTS ( SELECT sl2.* FROM roster_songs_locations AS sl2 WHERE s.id != sl2.song_id ) OR ( sl.location_id = '88fb5f94-aaa6-102c-a4fa-1f05bca0eec6' OR sl.location_id = '930555b0-a251-102c-a245-1559817ce81a' ) GROUP BY s.id The query almost works except it pulls out of the database songs that are assigned to sl.location_id's that aren't specified in the above query. I think it has something to do with my EXISTS code picking them up... Any ideas how I can get this to work?

  I'm using LINQ to SQLto import old DBF files into MSSQL. I'm reading all rows and adding them to database using ctx.MyTable.InsertOnSubmit(row) After reading phase is completed I have around 100 000 pending inserts. ctx.SubmitChanges() naturally is taking a long time. Is there any way to track progress of the ctx.submitchanges()? Can ctx.Log somehow be used for this purpose? Update: Is it possible to use ctx.GetChangeSet().Inserts.Count and track insert statements using the Log? Dividing ctx.SubmitChanges() into smaller chunks is not working for me, because I need transaction, all or nothing.   Looking for a quick and dirty way to parse Australian street addresses into its parts: 3A/45 Jindabyne Rd, Oakleigh, VIC 3166 should split into: "3A", 45, "Jindabyne Rd" "Oakleigh", "VIC", 3166 Suburb names can have multiple words, as can street names. EDIT: Assume that format specified is always followed. I have no issue with spitting incorrectly formatted strings back at the user with a message telling them to follow the format (which I've described above).

• What do I use when a cron job isn't enough? (php)

  I'm trying to figure out the most efficient way to running a pretty hefty PHP task thousands of times a day. It needs to make an IMAP connection to Gmail, loop over the emails, save this info to the database and save images locally. Running this task every so often using a cron isn't that big of a deal, but I need to run it every minute and I know eventually the crons will start running on top of each other and cause memory issues. What is the next step up when you need to efficiently run a task multiple times a minute? I've been reading about beanstalk & pheanstalk and I'm not entirely sure if that will do what I need. Thoughts???

  We have library website written in classic ASP that allows to browse and search by multiple (50+) filter criterias (author, publication year, ISSN ... ). There are lots of security holes and we have only one developer who hardly maintain this ASP-site with some minor features for last 3 years. There are two common user groups - administrators (librarians) and students (5000+) who have books on hands and searches for them. We don't want to rewrite it from scratch, just to use standard free CMS (.net based) and migrate library data and user accounts with minimum effort. What CMS will you suggest? Thank you in advance.

  Can someone tell me where I can find the executeable "java_swt"? I see multiple sites that say it is embedded in eclipse, and other sites say it is shipped with Mac swt drops. I have the zip file for a mac called "swt-3.5M6-carbon-macosx.zip" and i have the eclipse IDE installed on my test mac machine and windows machine. • Recordset manipulation in SSIS

  In my SSIS job, I have a need to accumulate a set of rows and commit them all transitionally when processing has completed successfully. If this was pure SQL, I would use a temp table inside a transaction. In SSIS there are a number of issues complicating this. It's difficult to have multiple components share the same transaction and having temp tables that do not exist at design time is a pain. If I use Recordsets inside SSIS for this purpose, there are other issues. My understanding is that an 'Execute SQL' component will re-initialize the Recordset when it runs, so I can't use that to append an additional row. Is there a way to create an OLE DB connection that references an in-memory Recordset? Is there a better way to achieve this result?

  I've already done many configs where dictionaries are passed into services in the <parameters> block. But what I find myself needing right now is to build a NameValueCollection (allowing multiple entries with the same key) or a Collection of KeyValuePair objects. The reason for this is im not using this dictionary to look up b when given a, im basically using it to pass in a Tuple (pair) of (a,b) to be used later in code. Im kind of new to castle windor and I was wondering how i would go about making a List of KeyValuePair's injected, or a NameValueCollection injected.

I thought the issue was with spamd/spamassassin but after disabling this the errors remains.   I need to quickly replace a listings website which has the following characteristics: smallish database (10,000 items, < 1GB) < 10% of the items updated/created/removed daily most common activity is searching the whole dataset, returning 1-1000 items traffic peaks at 1m page impressions per day Scaling strategy for the existing app has been to separate read-only and read/write activity. Multiple slave databases are used for searching and writes are done to a master, which update the slaves using MS SQL replication. Since read activity is more common than write, this has proved to be a cheap way to do database load balancing, without true clustering. I now need to replace the app - are there any C# open-source apps which scale as neatly as this?

• How to prevent popups when loading a keystore

  Hi as corollary to this question I wanted to ask if you know how to prevent the poping of dialogue either to ask for password or to ask to insert a certificate. We are currently building a system where we have to use the windows keystore to get certificates that are stored on USB token containing both reader and certificate. Unlike the original question we do not experience problems when loading the keystore but when we are accessing it. If there is only a single certificate in the keystore no problem, we get the appropriate password popup at the appropriate time and that's it. However if a second USB key gets inserted in the system and later removed the entry remains in the keystore and from then-on every time we try to access information in the keystore we get a popup to insert the key. This occurs for every certificates in the store for which the key is not currently connected to the computer. The system we are interfacing with that requires these certificates necessitates that we perform multiple cryptographic operations and to have these popups to come up every times is rather annoying to say the least.

• Ubuntu 12.04 OpenCL with Intel and Radeon?

  I want to setup my Ubuntu 12.04 with OpenCL(Open Computing Language) support for i7 2600k and Radeon HD5870. My Monitor is connected to the integrated Graphics of the i7. Intel OpenCL SDK is installed and working. Iteration of avaliable OpenCL devices shows 2 entries for Intel. As recommended I installed AMD APP SDK 2.6 first and then the fglrx driver. I installed fglrx from Ubuntu repositories. This works fine till here. When I run aticonfig --inital -f and restart the system I get into trouble. • UIView Clipped By Statusbar until Autorotate

  Hi There, Ive created a multiview application that uses multiple controllers to display and control views. The problem Im having is, when the simulator initially loads the view the header is partially covered by the bar at top of screen and the tool bar at the base is not touching the base of the screen. I used the Interface builder size attributes to control the view when the iphone rotates and it works perfectly. All smaps into place perfectly both in landscape and portrait mode AFTER a rotation but the problem is with the initial load before a rotation occurs. Your thoughts a much appreciated. Tony

• Generating a error code per property in Hibernate validator

  Hi all, I am looking at using hibernate validator for a requirement of mine. I want to validate a bean where properties may have multiple validation checks. e.g. class MyValidationBean { @NotNull @Length( min = 5, max = 10 ) private String myProperty; } But if this property fails validation I want a specific error code to be associated with the ConstraintViolation, regardless of whether it failed because of @Required or @Length, although I would like to preserve the error message. class MyValidationBean { @NotNull @Length( min = 5, max = 10 ) @ErrorCode( "1234" ) private String myProperty; } Something like the above would be good but it doesn't have to be structured exactly like that. I can't see a way to do this with hibernate validator. Is it possible? Thanks.

• How does 64 bit code work on OS-X 10.5?

  I initially thought that 64 bit instructions would not work on OS-X 10.5. I wrote a little test program and compiled it with GCC -m64. I used long long for my 64 bit integers. The assembly instructions used look like they are 64 bit. eg. imultq and movq 8(%rbp),%rax. I seems to work. I am only using printf to display the 64 bit values using %lld. Is this the expected behaviour? Are there any gotcha's that would cause this to fail? Am I allowed to ask multiple questions in a question? Does this work on other OS's?

• Hide segment in URL but give code access to hidden segment

  I'm using Structure and have a "Supernav" page with multiple children that will make up the supernav for the site. I thought this would be a nice way to have all pages on the site accessible to the client via one location: the Structure UI. If you visit any of the child pages in the "supernav" group the URL comes out like this: http://website.com/supernav/prospective-students I'd love to be able to remove the supernav segment of those URLs so that it ends up being: http://website.com/prospective-students I don't even want the supernav segment to appear in the status bar when you hover over these links on the page. Is this possible? With CodeIgniter this comes down to a simple routing rule, but I don't know if that's an option with EE. Appreciate any help I can get!

  I'm working on comparison for several different methods of implementing (real or fake) multithreading in JavaScript. As far as I know only webworkers and Google Gears WorkerPool can give you real threads (ie. spread across multiple processors with real parallel execution). I've found the following methods: switch between tasks using yield() use setInterval() (or other non-blocking function) with threads waiting one for another use Google Gears WorkerPool threads (with plugin) use html5 web workers I read related questions and found several variations of the above methods, but most of those questions are old, so there might be a few new ideas. I'm wondering - how else can you achieve multithreading in JavaScript? Any other important methods? UPDATE: As pointed out in comments what I really meant was concurrency. UPDATE 2: I found information that Silverlight + JScript supports multithreading, but I'm unable to verify this.   Trying to digest docs about design Multiple resolutions (http://d.android.com/guide/practices/screens_support.html#dips-pels) I found that it is possible to set dimensions of my interface elements in XML layouts using DIPs as in following fragment : "android:layout_width="10dip" But all Java interface takes integer as arguments and there is no way to specify dimensions in DIPs. What is the correct way to calculate this ? I figured that I have to use property density of DisplayMetrics class but is this a correct way ? May I relly that formula : pixels * DisplayMetrics.density = dip is always correct ? Will there be API in DIPs for Java ?
