  Ok, I am sure this is simple but I am not able to figure it out and people on this site seem to be brains... I will admit this is for homework but it has nothing to do with how to code. Has to do with a silly error that I am unable to resolve. I try to debug and when I debug i get the following error ERROR "Visual Studio cannot start debugging because debut target 'C:\Documents and Settings\user\Desktop\programs6\HuricaneSeasonStatistics\bin\Debug\HuricaneStatistics.exe" is missing. Please build the project and retry, or set the OutputPath and AssemblyName properties appropriate to point a the correct location for the target assembly." I am fairly sure the error is in the OutputPath and or AssemblyName. but I am not sure where to change.

  Hi All, I am writing an application to play the youtube videos using streaming. First method: I am getting the RTSP URL to the video using GData APIs. Here is the code to play the RTSP url. VideoView mVideoView = new VideoView(this); setContentView(mVideoView); mVideoView.setVideoURI(Uri.parse("rtsp://rtsp2.youtube.com/CiILENy73wIaGQkDwpjrUxOWQBMYESARFEgGUgZ2aWRlb3MM/0/0/0/video.3gp")); mVideoView.start(); But it throws error on both G1 device and emulator (Emulator has some firewall problem as per mailing list) Here is the error message ERROR/PlayerDriver(35): Command PLAYER_INIT completed with an error or info PVMFFailure Second method: A hack way to get the path of 3gp file from http://www.youtube.com/get_video?v=&t=<&<.. After getting the file path and I can call setVideoURI and it plays fine. But it is a hack way to achieve the requirement. I have checked the Youtube App also, it also does the hack way to play the youtube url.(Checked with logcat) I have tried changing from VideoView to MediaPlayer but no change in the error. Is there a "Clean" way to do this? Please let me know your thoughts.

• Target .NET 3.5 C++/CLI in Visual Studio 2010 Beta 2

  Has anyone had any success converting a VS 2008 C++/CLI (vcproj) project to a VS 2010 project (vcxproj), whilst maintaining .NET 3.5 as the target framework? I haven't been able to do this and get the project to build successfully. The project compiles fine in VS2008 as .NET 3.5, and fine in VS2010 as .NET 4.0, but I am unable to target .NET 3.5 in 2010. The IDE doesn't seem to provide an option for it, and modifying the vcxproj file by adding <TargetFrameworkVersion>v3.5</TargetFrameworkVersion> causes compilation to fail with the folling error: Error 1 error C1001: An internal error has occurred in the compiler. According to this link, there is apparently some differences in compilers used between VS2008 and 2010, but manually editing the project file was still suggested as a solution. Does anyone have any idea on this?

• Inconsistent MySQL COLLATE errors across databases

  I have two physically-separate MySQL databases on which I have to run a single query. The query has a section of SQL that looks like this: and foo_table.bar_column like concat('%', rules.pattern, '%') COLLATE utf8_general_ci It runs fine on database A but on database B I get this error: ERROR 1253 (42000): COLLATION 'utf8_general_ci' is not valid for CHARACTER SET 'latin1' If I remove the collation it runs fine on database B but on database A I get this error: ERROR 1267 (HY000): Illegal mix of collations (utf8_general_ci,IMPLICIT) and (utf8_unicode_ci,IMPLICIT) for operation 'like' Is there a version of the query that will run on both databases? Or, is there a configuration I can change on either database to make the query happy in both places? Update: Database A is version 5.1.38, Database B is version 5.1.34

  This question will undoubtedly be difficult to answer and ask in a way that makes sense but I'll try my best: I have a form which uses PHP to display certain sections of the form such as: <?php if ($_SESSION['EnrType'] == "Individual") { display only form information for individual enrollment } ?> and <?php if ($_SESSION['Num_Enrs'] > 6) { display only form information for 7 total members enrollment } ?> In each form piece, unique information is collected about each enrollee but the basic criteria for each enrollee is the same, i.e. All enrollee's must use have a value in the FirstName field. Each field is named according to the enrollee number, i.e. Num1FirstName; Num2FirstName. I have a PHP validation script which is absolutely fantastic and am not looking to change it but the issue I am running into is duplication of the script in order to validate ALL fields in one swoop. On submission, all POSTED items are run through my validation script and based on the rules set return an error if they do not equal true. Sample code: if (isset($_POST['submit'])) { // import the validation library require("validation.php"); $rules = array(); // stores the validation rules //All Enrollee Rules $rules[] = "required,Num1FirstName,Num2FirstName,The First Name field is required."; The script above does the following, $rules[] ="REQUIREMENT,fieldname,error message" where requirement gives criteria (in this case, simply that a value is passed), fieldname is the name of the field being validated, and error message returns the error used. My Goal is to use the same formula above and have $rules[] run through ALL firstnames and return the error posted ONLY if they exist (i.e. dont check for member #7's first name if it doesnt exist on the screen). If I simply put a comma between the 'fieldnames' this only checks for the first, then second, and so on so this wont work. Any ideas?

• How do I ensure my C# software can access the internet in a Citrix + ISA environment?

  Hi everyone, A client recently informed us that deployment of our software in their environment has failed due to a proxy error when the software attempts to access the internet. The client has a combination of Citrix and Microsoft's ISA server. The software allows the use of a proxy and the ability to manually enter authentication information, or automatically retrieve the current system proxy settings. The error returned is the standard 407 authentication error, but the client assures us that they have entered the authentication information required. They have also shown us the snippet of the ISA error logs which identify the client as Anonymous and the authentication protocol as Basic. I have a few questions I suppose: How should I go about dealing with the ISA server in my code? I have no real experience with this environment and am assuming that the ISA server is treated like any other proxy. If I am mistaken, what should I be doing? Does ISA allow the administrator to disallow specific authentication protocols - and if this is the case and 'Basic' auth is disallowed, would it still return a 407 error? Could the Citrix environment have caused this issue? Is there any particular way to ensure that my software will work in such an environment? Code-samples would be much appreciated. I have neither a Citrix test server or an ISA server at my disposal to carry out testing on this so I am currently trying to identify possible causes before I make the case for investment in a more robust testing environment. • Jboss logging issue - pl check this

  I’m Working as deployer and server administrator. We use Jboss 4.0x AS to deploy our applications. The issue I'm facing is, Whenever we redeploy/restart the server, server.log is getting created but after sometime the logging goes off. Yes it is not at all updating the server.log file. Due to this, we could not trace the other critical issues we have. Actually we have two separate nodes and we do deploy/restarting the server separately on two nodes. We are facing the issue in both of our test and production environment. I could not trace out where exactly the issue is. Could you please help me in resolving the issue? If we have any other issues, we can check the log files. If log itself is not getting updated/logged, how can we move further in analyzing the issues without the recent/updated logs? When I run the code to generate the XML in an empty page, it runs without error, if I call the code within my webpage it throws this error. The only 'nbsp' on the page is a doctype declaration at the top of the XSLT: <!DOCTYPE xsl:stylesheet [ <!ENTITY nbsp "&#x00A0;"> ]> I'm at a loss as to where this error is coming from and I am looking for suggestions please! • How to handle model state errors in ajax-invoked controller action that returns a PartialView

  I have a POST controller action that returns a partial view. Everything seems really easy. but. I load it using $.ajax(), setting type as html. But when my model validation fails I thought I should just throw an error with model state errors. But my reply always returns 500 Server error. How can I report back model state errors without returning Json with whatever result. I would still like to return partial view that I can directly append to some HTML element. Edit I would also like to avoid returning error partial view. This would look like a success on the client. Having the client parse the result to see whether it's an actual success is prone to errors. Designers may change the partial view output and this alone would break the functionality. So I want to throw an exception, but with the correct error message returned to the ajax client.

• SQL Server getdate() to a string like "2009-12-20"

  In Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and .NET 2.0, I want to convert the current date to a string of this format: "YYYY-MM-DD". For example, December 12th 2009 would become "2009-12-20". How do I do this in SQL. The context of this SQL statement in the table definiton. In other words, this is the default value. So when a new record is created the default value of the current date is stored as a string in the above format. I'm trying: SELECT CONVERT(VARCHAR(10), GETDATE(), 102) AS [YYYY.MM.DD] But SQL server keeps converting that to: ('SELECT CONVERT(VARCHAR(10), GETDATE(), 102) AS [YYYY.MM.DD]') so the result is just: 'SELECT CONVERT(VARCHAR(10), GETDATE(), 102) AS [YYYY.MM.DD]' Here's a screen shot of what the Visual Studio server explorer, table, table definition, properties shows: These wrapper bits are being adding automatically and converting it all to literal string: (N' ') Here's the reason I'm trying to use something other than the basic DATETIME I was using previously: This is the error I get when hooking everything to an ASP.NET GridView and try to do an update via the grid view: Server Error in '/' Application. • Swing GUI using JNI crashes

  Hi, A java swing application(GUI) using JNI code to communicate with native C code. The Swing application launches properly and works fine. The GUI is used to start some customized system level tests(io,memory,cpu) and show their progress. The tests have to be left running at-least overnight to get the results.   I have a bunch of simulations that I want to run on a high-performance cluster, on which I should make reservations to get computing time. Since the reservations are bounded by time, I am developing an automation script that I can scp into the cluster and run. This script will then download the relevant simulation files, run them, and upload the results. Part of this automation script is in bash (cp, scp, etc) and the rest is in python. In order to develop this automation, I am using an IPython notebook. So far, I've coded all the python automation stuff in my IPython notebook and am trying to write the bash part of it now. However, it seems that the magic %%bash doesn't work in my IPython notebook. I get the following error when I have this code in my cell: Cell %%bash echo hi Error File "<ipython-input-22-62ec98e35224>", line 3 echo hi ^ SyntaxError: invalid syntax On a whim, I tried this: Cell %%bash print "hi" Error hi ERROR: Magic function `bash` not found.   From what I understood I can use pattern-matching in a match ... with expression with tuples of values, so something like match b with ("<", val) -> if v < val then true else false | ("<=", val) -> if v <= val then true else false should be correct but it gives me a syntax error as if the parenthesis couldn't be used: File "ocaml.ml", line 41, characters 14-17: Error: Syntax error: ')' expected File "ocaml.ml", line 41, characters 8-9: Error: This '(' might be unmatched referring on first match clause.. Apart from that, can I avoid matching strings and applying comparisons using a sort of eval of the string? Or using directly the comparison operator as the first element of the tuple?

  What is the cause of this exception in ASP.NET? Obviously it is a viewstate exception, but I can't reproduce the error on the page that is throwing the exception (a simple two TextBox form with a button and navigation links). • How could I stop PHP from returning headers when executed from commandline?

  This may be a ridiculous question, but it's been bothering me for a while. I have a mail forwarder piped to a PHP script, it receives perfectly, however I have the following error mailed back to me instantly: A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed: pipe to |/home/[webroot]/public_html/external/mobile/email.php generated by mobile@[mydomain] The following text was generated during the delivery attempt: X-Powered-By: PHP/5.2.13 Content-type: text/html As you can see, Exim thinks the header response an error from the script I have. The script can receive the Email perfectly from php://stdin but Exim is quick-replying with the error. Plus, It's running from console, not Apache so HTAccess or configuring Apache most likely would do nothing. I can not find any solution, or anyone with the same problem. So my question is: How to I get rid of those two headers? Thanks, ~Jonny
