• Downloading Eclipse's Source Code

  I'm doing a study on large Java projects and would like to view the source code for Eclipse. I have gone to this url (http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/CVS_Howto) and figured that the most useful cvs repository for me to look at would be this one: :pserver:[email protected]:/cvsroot/eclipse (The Eclipse platform project) However, when looking at this repository, it has so many modules! Which modules should I be trying to check out? I don't necessarily want to build the IDE from source, however, I just want to get the core Eclipse code base to perform some analysis. Would I just check out any modules starting with "org.eclipse..."? Should I be checking out any of the others? Or is there an easier way to get the source? I read somewhere that you can get the source from the binary version of Eclipse but I am unsure where to find the source.

• Amazon SQS invalid binary character in message body

  I have a web app that sends messages to an Amazon SQS Queue. Amazon sqs lib throws a 'AmazonSQSException' since the message contained invalid binary character. The message is the referrer obtained from an incoming http request. • problem with facebook api - Keeps redirecting

  I created an application with a name and connect URL on facebook. I put below code in test.php here (test.php): include_once 'facebook.php'; $fb = new Facebook('api_key', 'secret'); $user = $fb->require_login(); echo $fb->api_client->user; echo $fb->api_client->session_key; when I go to that page, it takes me to facebook login, after I login it redirects me to same test.php with an auth_token. But it doesn't stop there. For some reason, the script is taking me to facebook again and since I already logged in facebook redirecting me to test.php with another auth_token just like below /test.php?auth_token=76a6eb21b872cdfe787ea85a240905dd&auth_token=597d7532bf53c8ce37cc003bcf7d2905 It never stops there, test.php taking me to facebook again and again :( Please tell me what wrong??   I've created a new Pylons application and added a controller ("main.py") with a template ("index.mako"). Now the URL http://myserver/main/index works. How do I make this the default page, ie. the one returned when I browse to http://myserver/ ? • paperclip callbacks or simple processor?

  I wanted to run the callback after_post_process but it doesn't seem to work in Rails 3.0.1 using Paperclip 2.3.8. It gives an error: undefined method `_post_process_callbacks' for #<Class:0x102d55ea0> I want to call the Panda API after the file has been uploaded. I would have created my own processor for this, but as Panda handles the processing, and it can upload the files as well, and queue itself for an undetermined duration I thought a callback would do fine. But the callbacks don't seem to work in Rails3. after_post_process :panda_create def panda_create video = Panda::Video.create(:source_url => mp3.url.gsub(/[?]\d*/,''), :profiles => "f4475446032025d7216226ad8987f8e9", :path_format => "blah/1234") end I tried require and include for paperclip in my model but it didn't seem to matter. • c# HTTPListener encoding issue

  I have a Java application sending HTTP requests to a C# application. The C# app uses HTTPListener to listen for requests and respond. On the Java side I'm encoding the URL using UTF-8. When I send a \ character it gets encoded as %5C as expected but on the C# side it becomes a / character. The encoding for the request object is Windows-1252 which I think may be causing the problem. How do I set the default encoding to UTF-8? Currently I'm doing this to convert the encoding: foreach (string key in request.QueryString.Keys) { if (key != null) { byte[] sourceBytes =request.ContentEncoding.GetBytes(request.QueryString[key]); string value = Encoding.UTF8.GetString(sourceBytes)); } } This handles the non ASCII characters I'm also sending but doesn't fix the slash problem. Examining request.QueryString[key] in the debugger shows that the / is already there.

• PHP app with cookie less session does not work

  I am trying to use PHP session without using cookies. I have enabled session.use_trans_sid and disabled session.use_cookies in my php.ini file. I have also disabled cookies in my firefox browser. Now, when I browse my home page, I do not see the HTTP set cookie header in the server response to my page request (using Live HTTP headers). My understanding is that PHP will append session IDs to my request URL when cookies are disabled. Am I doing something wrong? BTW, I am aware using session IDs is not a recommended approach.

• How do i redirect to a GET request from a POST request on GAE

  Hello everyone, i am writing an FBML app on facebook hosted in GAE. Facebook will talk to your hosted app only vai POST (im sure this is the cause, but please do correct me if i'm wrong). So im faced with the issue that inside of my POST method, i need to redirect to facebook OAuth authroize URL. But i can only send a GET request. How can i do that? At the moment i'm doing class OauthHandler(webapp.RequestHandler): def post(self): # blablablab request.redirect(oauth_uri) Which is wrong since the oauth_uri is only responding to GET. Further more, OAuth will redirect back to my redirect handler through GET, but i cant! i can only do post. So i'm confused. ideas? Thanks in advance

  I want to use the #! token to make my GWT application crawlable, as described here: http://code.google.com/web/ajaxcrawling/ There is a GWT sample app available online that uses this, for example: http://gwt.google.com/samples/Showcase/Showcase.html#!CwRadioButton Will serve the following static webpage to the googlebot: http://gwt.google.com/samples/Showcase/Showcase.html?_escaped_fragment_=CwRadioButton I want my GWT app to do something similar. In short, I'd like to serve a different flavor of the page whenever the _escaped_fragment_ parameter is found in the URL. What should I modify in order for the server to serve something else (a static page, or a page dynamically generated through a headless browser like HTML Unit)? I'm guessing it could be the web.xml file, but I'm not sure. (Note: I thought of checking the Showcase app provided with the GWT SDK, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to support serving static files on _escaped_fragment_ and it doesn't use the #! token..)

  I am trying to use the ASP.NET (3.5) "Routing Module" functionality to create custom pages based on the contents of the URL. Various articles, such as this one: http://blogs.msdn.com/mikeormond/archive/2008/05/14/using-asp-net-routing-independent-of-mvc.aspx explain how to use ASP.NET Routing to branch to existing pages on the web server. What I would like to do is create the page on-the-fly using code. My first attempt looks like this: public class SimpleRouteHandler : IRouteHandler { public IHttpHandler GetHttpHandler(RequestContext requestContext) { string pageName = requestContext.RouteData.GetRequiredString("PageName"); Page myPage = new Page(); myPage.Response.Write("hello " + pageName); return myPage; } } But this throws an HTTPException saying "Response is not available in this context." at the Response.Write statement. Any ideas on how to proceed? UPDATE: In the end, I went with an approach based on IHttpModule, which turned out to be rather easy.

• Some special characters defined in "ISO-8859-1" can't be shown when encoding with "UTF-8"

  I need to get a string from URL request of brower, and then create a text image by requested text. I know the default encoding of the Java net transmission is "ISO-8859-1", it can works normally with all characters what defined in "ISO-8859-1". But when I request a multi-byte Unicode character (e.g. chinese or something like ¤?), then I need to decode it by "UTF-8" from "ISO-8859-1". My codes like: String reslut = new String(requestString.getBytes("ISO-8859-1"), "UTF-8"); Everything is fine, but I found some characters in ISO-8859-1 are not been shown now, which characters are 0x80 - 0xFF(defined in" ISO-8859-1"), i.e. the characters after 0x80 (in "ISO-8859-1") not been shown when converted to "UTF-8" from "ISO-8859-1". Any other method can solve this query?

• Creating a customized video using Flash and XML

  The problem: I have to create a Flash video (in CS3) that will query a MySQL database and display that data at certain points in the video. The bigger problem: I'm not a Flash/ActionScript developer, so this is all very foreign to me! I've divided this project into two parts: a.) dynamically generate an XML feed from the data using PHP (using an ID number passed in the URL's query string), and b.) be able to work with it in Flash. I've got the first part working, but am pretty lost in Flash. I can parse the XML, but I'm not sure how to set the data up as variables and attach it to a video's cue points. Can anyone point me in the direction of a good tutorial or offer some advice?

• Google Toolbox For Mac with Core Data on iPhone results in error

  I have set up my project for using Google Toolbox for Mac as described on official wiki. And everything is working as expected. For core data usage I have created a 'database' class that uses for final application SQLite storage (this is done based on Xcode template code). For unit tests I have created separate init method for 'database' to use in memory storage (storage url is [NSURL URLWithString:@"memory://store"] and type NSInMemoryStoreType). Without adding my model file (*.xcdatamodel) to unit tests target, test fail in expected place with message: executeFetchRequest:error: A fetch request must have an entity. If I add model file to the test target, then test is executed as expected (core data part looks OK), but after tests execution I get: RunIPhoneUnitTest.sh: line 123: 9487 Segmentation fault "$TARGET_BUILD_DIR/$EXECUTABLE_PATH" -RegisterForSystemEvents Command /bin/sh failed with exit code 139 This problem does not looks directly related to core data, but only happens if model file is added to target. Any pointers on resolving this issue would be appreciated!

• Android VideoView resume and seekTo

  I am playing a Video using a VideoView in my app. On the click of a button, it records the current position of the video, and the app opens up the browser with some url. On pressing the back button, the app comes back to video app and resumes the video from where it left off. I looked at the Android Activity lifecycle and saw that onStart() method gets called once the video activity comes to the foreground. So I am creating my layout in onStart() and playing the video by seeking to the current position. My problem is that when the video resumes, it buffers from the start and then seeks to. Since it already buffered the first time, is there a way to eliminate buffering again while doing a seekTo? Thanks Chris

Im trying to use the installNotifyURI-tag of the download descriptors specified by OMA, to be able to find out if the download has been successful.   How would I get returningResponse (into say, a NSString) from the following code: NSURLResponse* response; NSError* error; NSData* result = [NSURLConnection sendSynchronousRequest:theRequest returningResponse:&response error:&error]; I think I can get the info that I need into a string but I can't call anything on response because it's null. Therefore, I assume that I need to call something on result. The problem is, I don't know what to call. (The URL request has been coded prior to the code sample. I know that that works.)   Perhaps it's a syntax error, but I never assume that.
