  • php gdlib angle problem

    I'm using php gd lib 5.2.13 and tried to make a picture with imagettftext ($image, $color and $font are defined of course). imagettftext($image, 12, 90, 10, 20, $black, $font, "This.is_a test 123"); //image, font size, angle, x value, y value, color, font, text As you can see I want the angle to be 90°. The problem is that the text is not beeing rotated properly, e.g. the dots are at the top (and not at the bottom) of the text. I read that this is a common issue and has been fixed in php gdlib 5.3, But since I have 5.2.13 running on a webhost (...) is there a solution to rotate it properly with using gdlib 5.2.13? Thanks!

    Hi, I am using Qt 4.5 and Windows XP. I need to create an Microsoft Excel Document that has data (some labels and values) from the Qt application. I need to format those data with some fonts,bold,italics,color, background color etc., Besides ordinary data, there will be Picture files (JPG) also. I need to add those into the Excel. I know retrieving values from Excel using QAxWidget, QAxObject. But I don't have a clue about the formatting options that can be applied to cells through Qt and adding images as well?? We are storing the hash and the binary file in a SQL DB. This works fine when we upload the same instance of a file. But when we save a new instance of the file from the DB (with today's date as the create/modify) on the file-system and then check the new hash versus the MD5 stored in the DB they do not match, and therefor fail a duplicate check. How can we check for a file hash excluding the file attributes? or is there a different issue here?

  • Problem with EditText.requestFocus()

    In the onCreate() of an activity, I've got a call to requestFocus() on an EditText. Immediately after, I've got the following: System.out.println(mEdit.isFocusableInTouchMode()); System.out.println(mEdit.isFocusable()); System.out.println(mEdit.isFocused()); These were just put in while I was trying to figure out what is wrong with this activity... they all print "true". However, as you may have guessed, the EditText does NOT have focus, and if I try to start typing, nothing happens. I have to click on the EditText to being typing. I can't see that anything else has focus, but obviously something has to have it.. how can I find out what it is?

The Linux boot loader asks me which system to boot, but if I reboot and forget to hit a button, it goes to Linux by default. I can get it so the bg disappears while the field is focused, but then it returns once they move on to the next field.   • NDepend: How to not display 'tier' assemblies in dependency graph?

    I was able to do this in an earlier version of nDepend by going to tools-options and setting which assemblies would be part of the analysis (and ignore the rest). The latest version of the trial version of nDepend lets me set it, but it seems to ignore the setting and always analyze all assemblies whether I want it to or not. I tried to delete the "tier" assemblies by moving them over to the "application assemblies" list, but when I delete them out of there, they just get added back to the "tier" list, which I can't ignore. I don't want my dependency graph to contain assemblies like "system," "system.xml," and "system.serialization!" I want only MY assemblies in the dependency graph! Or is that a paid-version feature now? Is there a way to do what I'm talking about?

  • Flash AS3 Coloring Book - Movieclip only clickable in certain spots (Event Listeners)

    I am working on a coloring book and have a movieclip (outlines) containing many movieclips that can be changed to whatever color the user has selected. However it seems like some of the movieclips can be clicked anywhere and work great, and others you need to click a certain spot for it to color in. I have an example here: http://jeffkilroy.com/hosted/softee/coloring.html Notice the three sections of the icecream (top, middle, bottom). The middle is clickable from anywhere inside the movieclip, however the top and especially bottom require you to click on specific spots in order for you to activate the event listener. Not sure if it is a depth issue because I would assume if that is the case it would activate at least a different movieclip but it just seems nothing happens at all.   • How to prevent popups when loading a keystore

    Hi as corollary to this question I wanted to ask if you know how to prevent the poping of dialogue either to ask for password or to ask to insert a certificate. We are currently building a system where we have to use the windows keystore to get certificates that are stored on USB token containing both reader and certificate. Unlike the original question we do not experience problems when loading the keystore but when we are accessing it. If there is only a single certificate in the keystore no problem, we get the appropriate password popup at the appropriate time and that's it. However if a second USB key gets inserted in the system and later removed the entry remains in the keystore and from then-on every time we try to access information in the keystore we get a popup to insert the key. This occurs for every certificates in the store for which the key is not currently connected to the computer. The system we are interfacing with that requires these certificates necessitates that we perform multiple cryptographic operations and to have these popups to come up every times is rather annoying to say the least.

    Hi, so I got this drawing tool from my good friend because he got a bigger and better one and I have the Adobe Suite CS4. But, I'm not a good drawer so I am interested in learning and I kind of want to turn Illustrator into a canvas that takes up the whole screen. In addition, I don't want the window to be shown at all. Is there any way to do this? Photoshop or another alternative works also works but I would prefer Illustrator.

  • improving conversions to binary and back in C#

    I'm trying to write a general purpose socket server for a game I'm working on. I know I could very well use already built servers like SmartFox and Photon, but I wan't to go through the pain of creating one myself for learning purposes. I've come up with a BSON inspired protocol to convert the the basic data types, their arrays, and a special GSObject to binary and arrange them in a way so that it can be put back together into object form on the client end. At the core, the conversion methods utilize the .Net BitConverter class to convert the basic data types to binary. Anyways, the problem is performance, if I loop 50,000 times and convert my GSObject to binary each time it takes about 5500ms (the resulting byte[] is just 192 bytes per conversion). I think think this would be way too slow for an MMO that sends 5-10 position updates per second with a 1000 concurrent users. Yes, I know it's unlikely that a game will have a 1000 users on at the same time, but like I said earlier this is supposed to be a learning process for me, I want to go out of my way and build something that scales well and can handle at least a few thousand users. So yea, if anyone's aware of other conversion techniques or sees where I'm loosing performance I would appreciate the help. GSBitConverter.cs This is the main conversion class, it adds extension methods to main datatypes to convert to the binary format. It uses the BitConverter class to convert the base types.   • XCode Syntax Coloring Broken

    XCode frequently seems to lose it's mind, and doesn't color code system classes or provide correct "code sense" suggestions. This is endlessly frustrating. The question has been asked on at least three other occasions: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2263994/problems-with-xcode-syntax-highlighting http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1627033/xcode-code-sense-color-completion-not-working http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2138047/xcode-code-loses-syntax-coloring I have switched by project version to/from 3.1-compatiable and 3.2-compatiable, completely restarting XCode before and after each change with no effect. I have rebuilt the code sense indexes and completely restarted XCode with no change. I have built my project to make sure there are no errors and restarted. I have copied my files (sans .svn files) to a different location - same problem. I've already completely disabled the argument "placeholders" because they screw up my documents when i type too fast... all I'm asking for is for the "esc" key to display the correct list of properties and methods.
