  • netcon.h not found with mingw?

    I am using the mingw(4.4.0) compiler that is included with QT4 and my IDE is netbeans 6.9. i noticed that i can't find netcon.h when i try to include it.I need netcon.h because i need some kind of API to bring up/down a network adapter,and after some googling i found that netcon.h is most commonly used. Linking netcon.h directly from the microsoft sdk produces lots of errors.Or is there some other library to alows me to reset an adapter, or i had to visual C++ completely to solve this problem?

    I'm working on a JSF 2.0 project using Mojarra, PrimeFaces and Tomcat 6.x. I need to use c:forEach for some primefaces component like dynamic number of p:tab but i have problem with the c:forEach. All the other tag of JSTL work nice. I have the following error : java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/servlet/jsp/jstl/core/LoopTagStatus I use the following xmlns:c="http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/core", i tried to replace with xmlns:c="http://java.sun.com/jstl/core" but nothing display with the second.     Including DISTINCT to an SQL query that also uses ORDER BY CAST(thecolumn AS int) as shown here seems to remove that sorting functionality. Any reason these cant work together? (Using sqlite with the C api) Thanks. EDIT: Started with - sprintf(sql, "SELECT DISTINCT rowX FROM TableX Order By Cast(rowX As int) LIMIT 150 OFFSET %s;", Offset); rowX is Type CHAR(5)

    Hello For an embedded system with internet (which works under a set-top box) I want to develop a primitive Facebook interface where users can type their user-names and password, showing their latest notificationsa, messages and other casual stuff via the recent Facebook Graph API. This middleware program uses Java ME to run programs (such as this simple facebook app) and it can connect to internet however it doesn't have a real web browser. Under this circumstance, is it possible to achieve such Facebook application? If you think so, what approach would you suggest ? Thanks

  • Alternative databases to use when putting IIS Logs into a database using LogParser

    We have run some scripts that use LogParser to dump our IIS logs into a SQL Server database. We can then query this to get simple stats on hits, usage etc. It's also good when linking it to error log databases and performance counter database to compare usage with errors, etc. Having implemented this for just one system and for the last 2-3 weeks we already have a 5GB database with around 10 million records. This is making any queries to this database quite slow and will no doubt cause storage issues if we continue to log as we are. Can anyone suggest any alternative databases that we could use for this data that would be more efficient for such logs? I'd be particularly interested in any experience of Google's BigTable or Amazon's SimbleDB. Are either of these suitable for reporting queries? COUNTs, GROUP BYs, PIVOTs?

Client side uses this component to perform some actions. How to know on the client that component did its job?     Hi, I am doing some trial testing awith Amazon ec2 boxes, deploying flex apps running on top of restlet powered webservices. I have this problem - Everytime i deploy the app to the cloud, I'm having to hardcode the IP address of the server into the ActionScript/MXML files (http://72.93.48.39:8080/xxx/abc/) and for certain reasons, i am forced to choose a different IP everytime. and i think its really not the right way to deploy the application. I would like to know what other people do in such scenarios? On thinking about it, i thought i could make it pickup values from the HTMLVars of the HTML wrapper. but that again has to be edited everytime again and again. will it be possible to be able to supply these values : server's ip address, server's port number(in case its not 8080 on some machine) at build time? if so can anyone give me a barbones sample build.xml just as an example?

    Hello, I have created an application that records a series of longitude and latitude values in a SQLite database and display them as a coloured track on a MapActivity.   • Installing assemblies to GAC with Windows Installer

    I am creating a Windwos Installer project just for the use of installing our third party assemblies into the gac of the users computer. The problem i am running into, is when i make an update to the assemblie and increment it's version number, i get an error saying: "Another version of this product is already installed. Installation of this version cannot continue..." I would have figured that windows installer would update the local machine with the new assemblie. Am i doing something wrong?
