  • Advice on creating admin panel where user can upload, remove and order the files

    I'm working on a website where a logged-in admin needs the ability to upload and manage multiple PDFs from their computer. They'd need to be able to upload/remove the files. Also, there would need to be a way that they can sort the list of uploaded files and save that order so that other visitors to the page would see the list of files in that particular order. I looked into jQuery Uploadify among other things. Would javascript be the right way to go? Thanks, Manoj

    Hi, I have a listing in an UpdatePanel I have some filters for that list in the form a checkboxList control. The checkboxList is created dynamically on page load During the Ajax update (postback), the checkbox list is not populated form the viewstate, so I cannot get the listing to filter.     I have a vpn server with HTTPS, L2TP , OPENVPN , PPTP. i want to set proxy in the server so all connection that comes from vpn clients use the proxy that i set in my server.   • Image URL not changing in Update panel

    Ok this is probably really simple but I have been staring at it for too long now. I have an AJAX AsyncFileUpload control that when a file is selected I want the Image next to it to change.     Greetings, I have gridview with SelectedIndexChanged event. when I click on a record in gridview it should call the SelectedIndexChanged event and do some operations.   • I can't send gps values via the eclipse emulator control panel

    I try to send gps longitude and latitude to the android emulator with eclipse, but the values seem to never be set. Instead the onStatusChanged method of my listener is called. Edit I send those values through the emulator controls in the ddms view in eclipse. If I send data via telnet I get the correct data shown and the onLocationChanged method of my listener is changed.

    i wonder if large web applications like twitter and facebook have admin panels to handle CRUD for users, posts, images, themes and so on just like in CMS like drupal? so programmers have to code the front for the regular users AND back for the administrators? if i develop an web application is it recommended that i also code the admin part? or is it unnecessary since i can handle all directly in mysql and by editing php scripts directly? share your thoughts! thanks

    I have a custom treeview which i create programmatically as there is a need of specific layout which is not achievable using asp.net treeview.It is on a master page.When i click on treenodes the content area refreshes after a postback.There is a page category.aspx which is a content page of this master page.I have a user control in that content area named products.aspx.Now i want to use ajax to prevent the postback which happens when i click on treenode.I tried putting user control in updatepanel and treeview as well in updatepanel but to no awail.   • Panel in Windows Forms Application not clearing

    I'm working on my project: [Beer Pong Management System][1], a Windows Forms application. I am currently trying to add a whole tournament mode to it. In a nutshell, I've created a TabControl, with the first tab page with the settings and setup and the second page the brackets. There is a feature for each of the match-ups, that once there is a winner is decided, a yellow cancel button will appear in order to revert the tournament. However my issue is when i click the button the next match-up does not get removed in the series is going. See below: Image Here(not high enough rep to insert image) I have tried to set the MatchUp to null, I've tried dispose(), close(). even Parent.Controls.Remove(). Even after I switch tabs which is supposed to clear all, they still sit there when i come back. I have a feeling I might be loosing a reference or something because I can't even push new teams into them, they just sit there with their buttons. I have a lot of components, and this seems over the top. Is there a shorthand way?     Hi guys, Just wondering if you could help wanting to produce an activity stream in Java, the idea was to have a JLabel and text area followed by a divider be displayed on a screen and then repeated X amount of times according to what data was in a database. What I was wondering is how could I possibly repeat the placing the jlabel, text area, and diveder on the screen above the last rendered objects on the fly and all displayed correctly no matter the size of the text area of each set of object sort of like the image below.
