    Android Code Style Guide defines "Android Code Style Rules". To conform to these rules one have to change quite a number of settings of the Java Code Formatter (Window-Preferences-Java-Formatter) default profile (in Eclipse IDE). Did anyone managed to configure the formatter to follow the "Android Code Style Rules" already? PS: I've tried to do this myself but I've found that there are too many formatter options available, and most of them are not mentioned in the Code Style Guide :-(

My idea is to find '@' in the text and use "Regex" to find email address into substring at (for example) 256 chars before this position and length of 512.     I have a jar file with resources (mainly configuration for caches, logging, etc) that I want to distribute. I'm having a problem with the relative paths for those resources, so I did what I've found in another stackoverflow question, which said that this was a valid way: ClassInTheSamePackageOfTheResource.class.getResourceAsStream('resource.xml'); Sadly this does not work. Any ideas? Thanks! PS: Obviously I cannot use absolute paths, and I'd like to avoid environment variables if possible

  • Do I need to create icons other than RGBA for my Windows app?

    I'm curious if anyone still creates icons other than RGB/A (or 32-bit with alpha-channel) for your Windows apps? PS. I know that suggested model is to create 256-color versions of icons, but I always struggle with those. If I automatically convert them in an icon editor they totally decimate the look of my original icons with jagged edges and circa-Windows95 look. So if those are still required, does anyone know the stats on how many people are still using color settings other then 32-bit TrueColor?

    I am trying to download a list of files from a ftp server using: NSURL *ftpUrl = [NSURL URLWithString:@"ftp://xxx:[email protected]"]; I HAVE to use FTP, so please do not recommend an alternative. I want to know how to get the list of files from the root directory and also navigate inside folders (of FTP server). My question is, is this preferred versus inline styles? Stackoverflow actually uses quite a bit of inline styles.
