• after ubuntu upgrade to 9.10: video playback is all green/blue tinted

  I just upgraded from ubutnu 9.04 to 9.10, and everything was working fine before the upgrade but now when ever I play a file in a video player everything has a blue/green tint. Its like my video went into Smurf mode! for some reason flash based video is still fine, ex. hulu/youtube both play just fine.

• Heating and Battery problem 15" Macbook Pro i5 hr antiglare screen

  Well my battery is only lasting for 4.5 hours or 4 hours if I have Xcode open, and sometimes if I'm using youtube (which will make safari to use 15% of the processor) the heat can go up to 145 F or 62 C. Not saying that sometimes can be uncomfortable to hold it on my lap... because of the heat... Is this normal? Should I take it to warranty? Thank you!

• Firefox does not redirect to correct page.

  I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 and Firefox 3.6.3. If I type wrong URL like youtube, it won't redirect me to the correct site. Instead the address would be jar:file:///usr/lib/firefox-3.6.3/chrome/en-US.jar!/locale/browser-region/region.propertiesyoutube and Firefox can't find any page.

• I've got crossfired 4770s. I get a blue screen of death sometimes while watching some videos.

  I'm not sure what the problem is. Youtube works fine. But when i use the jwplayer on white-ra.com i get a temp-freeze or a blue bsod. I tried installing k-lite full and k-lite 64 and it still does it. Any ideas? Windows 7 64 bit with crossfired 4770s if that matters.

When I try to connect I get this in the server event log: "The user xx connected from x.x.x.x but failed an authentication attempt due to the following reason: The account does not have permission to dial in." Is there a way to enable this without AD?

I would like to continue watching videos from, say YouTube, whilst I work on the VPN, without degrading the available VPN bandwidth (say for an RDP session). Can I configure a second NIC to deal with only the VPN traffic, with everything else going over the primary?   I am on a Mac and when I enter http://you/ in the location bar, it displays 'Apache is functioning normally' no matter which browser (Safari, Firefox, Chrome) I am using. Is this normal? Or could it be that my computer is hacked in some way and is now acting as a server for the hackers? EDIT: I originally wanted to go to the youtube.com, but entered http://you/ by accident and found out this strange behavior.

  I have an OS X box running iTunes on it. I play music with iTunes connected to an Apple TV. In iTunes I can select Apple TV as the output sound device. Am I able to do that with any other application? Apple TV does not show up as a seperate device in System Preferences.   We have a proxy at school, which requires a login/password, and blocks a certain number of sites that aren't "school related" (facebook, youtube, etc.) While I'm able to get through to most things, people who've upgraded to Lion can't get through to anything, even though I've replicated my proxy/network settings on their machines.   So i have a Z68 chipset that allows Quick Sync encoding on my i7 processor. I want a media encoder that supports both Hardware encoding and allows me to "merge files". My problem is Fraps breaks my recording into 4GB files. I need to stitch these files together & re-encode for Youtube ect, but i want to use the hardware encoding I paid for. I have not figured out how to do this on Handbrake or MediaEsspresso.
