  • NFS host is not exporting the "share"

    I have a NFS Server: usanfsd01 And a remote machine: usafssd01 I tried mounting a directory from usafssd01 onto usanfsd01 by adding the following line to /etc/fstab as root usanfsdo1:/home/dblogs /home/data/dblogs nfs rw 0 0 And when I run the following command to see if NFS is exporting the share, it's not shown showmount -e usanfsdo1 Can someone please help? Also, a point of interest would be there is another mount that works on the same servers and thats defined as below in the /etc/fstab usanfsdo1:/home/files /home/data/files nfs rw 0 0 /etc/exports /nfs/home/dblogs 'IPADDRESS'(rw,no_root_squash)

  • Optimizing simple search script in PowerShell

    I need to create a script to search through just below a million files of text, code, etc. to find matches and then output all hits on a particular string pattern to a CSV file. So far I made this; $location = 'C:\Work*' $arr = "foo", "bar" #Where "foo" and "bar" are string patterns I want to search for (separately) for($i=0;$i -lt $arr.length; $i++) { Get-ChildItem $location -recurse | select-string -pattern $($arr[$i]) | select-object Path | Export-Csv "C:\Work\Results\$($arr[$i]).txt" } This returns to me a CSV file named "foo.txt" with a list of all files with the word "foo" in it, and a file named "bar.txt" with a list of all files containing the word "bar". Is there any way anyone can think of to optimize this script to make it work faster? Or ideas on how to make an entirely different, but equivalent script that just works faster? All input appreciated!

    How do I use functions from a DLL? I'm a total newbie and I don't really understand how to use functions from a DLL file. I'm trying to use MS Visual Studio 2008 (C++). My understanding is that the DLL files will have corresponding header files and as long as I include the header files and call the functions normally in my code, it should work? Is that correct? Then I would just need to have the compiled exe file be able to find the DLL? Please let me know if that is a remotely correct understanding! Thanks! Russel

How can I incorporate the yes into this?   • Git - will the file moves be detected?

    I performed some modifications on a branch (A). I then decided to create a brand new branch (B) based on the state of my existing working copy and commit and push to that. There were a number of files that had been moved during my earlier refactoring, and hence were now not included in version control having been moved directly in the filesystem. By accident I did not add these files to git before committing and pushing to the new branch (B). If I now add these files and commit and push, will Git be able to detect the file move operations?

    Hello, Imagine I have the following code (simplified regarding my real context of course): <div id="box" style="width: 120px;" onmouseover="this.style.width='200px'" onmouseout="this.style.width='120px'"> <div>A label</div> <div>Another label</div> <div>Another label, but a longer label</div> </div> What I want to achieve is the following: My div box has a fixed width (120px by default). In this configuration, every label nested in the box must be written in a single line. If the text is too long, then the overflow must be hidden. In my example, the third item will be displayed Another label, but a or Another label, but a .... When the cursor is entering the div box, the width of the box is modified (for example to 200px). In this configuration, the labels that were shorten in the first configuration are now displayed in the whole space. With my code snippet, the third label is displayed in two lines when the box has a 120px, and I do not want that... How can I achieve that? Note that I would be great if the solution works also for IE6! Even if I prefer a pure CSS/HTML solution, (simple) Javascript (and jQuery) is allowed!

    I've seen videos of things like 3D desktops and used things like Stardock's fences. But are there any programs that will allow me to have a filters like on the side of my desktop which I can click to only who certain file types. So like on the right of the desktop is a list of filetypes which have files on my desktop and I can click them and it will only shows files on my desktop (not in explorer windows) of that filetype.

Treeview shows all folders. if user clicked on treenode their files all displayed in gridview. If user checked some files and selects another node and return back it should display checked files as it is. How do i maintain grid-view checked-box column status..? I'm guessing there is a way that I can set up the log files to output this information and then I can write a script to parse through the log files and add up the file sizes.   • Rebuilding an Opensource Iphone Project but got too many errors

    Downloaded an opensource sample Iphone project and when I compiled, everything is OK. This project has alot of C files. So, I try to rebuilding this project from scratch just to see if I can duplicate it. I make sure all the inlcudes files there, the path is correct, all the libraries there. I check original project settings and make sure if they have any specific search path and I need to follow. Anyway, I follow the exact settings but this time my duplicated project got some 1500 errors. alot of them generated from inside those C files. So, what's wrong? everyone got some tips on that why I got so many errors? I followed everything I follow from the original project.

  • HttpHandler with Flash file upload question

    I have a flash file uploader that allows uploading multiple files in one shot. Now on one click how many times will the hanlder is supposed to be called? I am seeing that the ProcessRequest() of the HttpHandler is getting called for each of the files I upload. If I upload 5 files, then the Process request gets called 5 times. This seems odd. I would expect the handler to be called just once where I will loop the Can anyone confirm this behavior or I am missing something?

    I have an application on a pen drive, which executes some flash files on the same USB flash drive. when i run the application with in the drive, the application just keeps running in the back ground without running the flash files. When i copy the application on desktop, it runs the flash files in the USB. Also i programmed the app to write log file, when i run the application with in USB, the app is running but the log file is not getting written, when i remove the pen drive, the file gets written. What might be the problem, I am using VC++ , VS 2008 to build the application.

If those shortcuts were already there, how can I know them?     I am extremely frustrated. I'm following a tutorial and mimicing it on my own. I've been able to sort out most of the errors so far but this one has me stumped. I have tried replacing all of the class files with the tutorial specimen ones but i still get the error. TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference. at com.senocular.utils::KeyObject/construct() at com.senocular.utils::KeyObject() at com.asgamer.basics1::Ship() at com.asgamer.basics1::Engine() Now, not really understanding the error properly I paste dumped the files online for you to look at. Ship class: textbin.com/78z35 Engine class: textbin.com/32b24 KeyObject class: textbin.com/p2725 As the error still occured when using the specimen class files I really have no idea where to begin. I will gladly try out any suggestions (although later on, i'm tired now ;). Thanks very much.

    Hi, I'm writing a Maven plugin that merges CSS files together. So all the CSS files that match /foo/bar/*.css might get merged to /foo/merged.css. A concern is that in a file such as /foo/bar/baz.css there might be a property such as: background: url("images/pic.jpg") So when the file is merged into /foo/merged.css this will need to be changed to background: url("bar/images/pic.jpg") The recalculated URL obviously depends on 3 factors: original URL original CSS file location merged CSS file location Assuming that the original and merged CSS files are both on the same filesystem, is there a general formula (or Java library) that can be used to calculate the new url given these 3 inputs? And choose the output format to be xVid(.avi)<--that is exactly what is written on the application. I don't want to waste a blank dvd and try if it really can be played.   • filter log file by defining regexes

    I have some HUGE log files (50Mb; ~500K lines) I need to start filtering some of the crap out of. The log files are being produced using log4j and have the basic pattern of: [log-level] date-time class etc, etc log-message I'm looking for a way that I can identify a regex start and regex end (or something similar) that will filter out the matching entries from the file so I can more easily wade through these massive files. I'm sure I could write a java program to accomplish this task, but I thought I'd ask the community before going down that path. Thanks in advance.

    In our project files, if there are binary files, such as .doc, .xls, .jpg, and we choose to not keep their past revisions (just keeping a latest version is ok), is there a way to tell SVN, Git, or Mercurial or some other tool to skip the revisions for these files or for a particular folder? Say, there is a 4MB .doc file that I need to check in hundred of times, but I don't really care so much about its past versions. So if the system keeps 100 revisions of it, that's already 400MB... checking in 300 times means 1.2GB for 1 file and that's not good. Only the latest version is good so that everybody can sync to it.

  • Problems downloading Full Magento install via purely FTP on shared server

    Hi, I'm currently trying to download a full magneto install from a ftp server. The connection keeps failing, it seems as if there are too many files and folders to scan through? Can anyone shed any light on how to resolve this? The shared platform seems to b e a standard platform based on Plesk 8.6. As this is a shared server, there is no option for me to really do anything, apart from contact the hosting company (who have offered to zip up all the files for me, but this is not ideal)
