    Its the reports.   Take this for example, it is a report generated during a demo of Report Builder 3.0 by someone in MS marketing. She says things like “..and you can see easily how my divisions are doing”. No you can’t you’ve just got a bunch of numbers. The Java™ SE Development Kit 7, Update 10 Release Notes contains information about this release.   • Open in explorer view not working SOMETIMES !!

    Hello, As weird as it seems to anyone who used it before, most of the time explorer view does not work until some steps to be followed, but in my case it was working and sometimes randomly not working ! After spending hours of troubleshooting and collecting logs, Network traces, Fiddler traces, etc. I reached the solution from the Network trace. Although it seems strange, it was sending a PROPFIND request to the root directory "/" which was actually deleted. So, I came up to this important article that states that you must have a root site collection in your SharePoint web application in order to keep it in a supported state. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2590564 And actually that explained it and solved the strange behavior as well.     I have installed Visual Studio 2010 and Biztalk. I create a new Biztalk-project in Visual STudio 2010. I choose 'Add new item' and then 'New generated schema'. Here I can choose 'Document type'. I choose 'Well-Formed XML (Not loaded)' and choose an input file. Now I get the message 'XFW to XSD schema generation module is not installed. Execute 'C:\Program files (X86)\Microsoft Biztalk Server 2010\SDK\Utilities\Schema Generator\InstallWFX.vbs to install the WFX to XSD schema generation module. I try to execute that file and some text hastily appear on the console. I restart Visual Studio 2010, but it still doesn't work. Apparently the execution of the shell script didn't work. I try to restart the computer, but it still doesn't work. Could anyone tell me what to do?

  • FTP client says directory permissions are 0000

    I encountered a problem that appears to be related to permissions (same as this one). When I looked at the permissions of various directories in FireFTP, they all were 0000, which is obviously nonsense, since all the other pages are served without any problems. I only have ftp access, and I think it’s a Windows server (The header says "Server: Microsoft-IIS/7.5"). I’ve tried a different ftp client, with the same result. Changing the permissions results in a "'SITE CHMOD 764 [directory]': command not understood" error. A search on Google and SO for "permissions windows 0000" and similar queries didn’t turn up anything. How can I view and change the actual permissions?

  • What IDE(s) or editor(s) do companies like Google, Apple, IBM, etc. use?

    Even though I have quite some experience in using various tools, I still can't make up my mind whether I prefer using IDE or a simple editor for code editing. Most IDEs I have experienced are written in Java (like Eclipse) which makes them slow and bulky. What's good about them is that it provides lots of tools. On the other hand editors are usually VERY fast. They can also be extended to become more similar to IDEs but usually I don't do that. However, there is Sublime Text 2 which has some basic code completion built-in. My question would be whether most Enterprise companies like Google, Apple, IBM and etc (except Microsoft because they have AMAZING IDE which, I assume, is used by MS developers) force their workers to use IDEs and whether using plain editor with external tools is considered being not professional? P.S. Not talking about cases like Android development where working without IDE barely possible.

  • SQL Server Requery() sometimes hangs

    I have an issue with Visual C++ and Microsoft SQL Server 2008R2. The following code will occasionally hang: Object->Update(); if(Object->CanRestart()) { //Why does this not return?? m_pDBRoRBaseObject->Requery(); } Object is derived from CRecordset. It looks to me as though a call to ::SQLExecute(m_hstmt) in the Requery() method is hanging, but I can't (with my current skill set anyway) figure out a way around this. Has anyone had a similar problem, or an insight of any sort?

  • Subdomains on Windows Azure

    Hi, I've got a Windows Azure project I'm working on. It has two web roles - one is a public-facing site, and the second is an administration site for my customer to make changes to the database etc. I had expected to be able to use a subdomain for each role - so for example have mysite.com and admin.mysite.com (obviously CNAME-mapped to the .cloudapp.net DNS name). However it looks like Azure doesn't do this, and instead has one subdomain (mysite.com) with different ports for each web role. So, for example, I would have mysite.com:80 for the main public site, and mysite.com:8080 for the administration. Is this correct? Is there no way I can have subdomains for particular web roles?     Followed the instructions on the Rails wiki and have had success connecting to SQL Server 2000 with TSQL -- both with DSN-less and DNS connections. I'm running Mac OS X 10.6.3. Wiki instructions here. Installed ruby-odbc, dbi (0.4.0), dbd-odbc (2.4.5), activerecord-sqlserver-adapter (2.3.5). In my database.yml (Rails 2.3.6): development: adapter: sqlserver mode: ODBC dsn: 'DRIVER=/usr/local/lib/libtdsodbc.so;TDS_Version=8.0;SERVER=mssql01.discountasp.net;DATABASE=DB_164368_dmusd;Port=1433;uid=DB_164368_dmusd_user;pwd=Schools77;' This yields the following error: ODBC::Error: S1090 (0) [unixODBC][Driver Manager]Invalid string or buffer length When I attempt to use a DSN connection, I get the following error: ODBC::Error: IM002 (0) [unixODBC][Driver Manager]Data source name not found, and no default driver specified I have in fact verified that the FreeTDS driver (libtdsodbc.so) is installed and the path correct.     My goal is to implement the following scheme using the subdomain and path as attributes: Use a wildcard DNS entry that routes any subdomain to the root site: Example: *.example.com ex: http://xyz.example.com to http://example.com Next I want to rewrite the requests to point to a specific page, passing both the subdomain and the request path as attributes. Example: http://xyz123.example.com/images/header.jpg to http://example.com/get.aspx?id=xyz123&path=/images/header.jpg I've seen several questions on here regarding similar goals, but not quite the same. I'm new to using rewrite rules, so any help is appreciated. I will update this as I make progress.

  • Yahoo flagging mail as spam when using relay server

    I'm using Postfix to relay mail from my site to my mail server. Mail is received properly at my Gmail and Hotmail accounts - only Yahoo is the problem. The Yahoo mail headers state: Received-SPF: none (mta1133.mail.mud.yahoo.com: domain of [email protected] does not designate permitted sender hosts) In contrast, the Gmail headers state: Received-SPF: pass (google.com: domain of [email protected] designates 74.50.xxx.xxx as permitted sender) client-ip=74.50.xxx.xxx; Reverse DNS is set up correctly, as is my SPF record. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do to solve the Yahoo problem (short of contacting Yahoo, as this is a brand new mail server)? FYI - I just set up domainkeys, but I'm not sure whether they should be on the origin or relay server. Thanks

    Error: ('IM002', '[IM002] [unixODBC][Driver Manager]Data source name not found, and no default driver specified (0) (SQLDriverConnectW)') I'm migrating from developing on a windows development machine to Linux machine in production and I'm having issues with the freetds driver. As far as I can tell that error message means it can't find the driver. I can connect via the cli via sqsh and tsql. I've setup my settings.py as such. 'bc2db': { 'ENGINE': 'sql_server.pyodbc', 'NAME': 'DataTEST', 'USER': 'appuser', 'PASSWORD': 'PASS', 'HOST': 'bc2.domain.com', 'options': { 'driver': 'FreeTDS', } }, Does anyone have any SQL Server experience with django? do I have to use a dns? (how would I format that?)

    I want to run my own root server (directly accessible from the web without a hardware firewall) with debian lenny, apache2, php5, mysql, postfix MTA, sftp (based on ssh) and maybe dns server. What measures/software would you recomend, and why, to secure this server down and minimalize the attack vector? Webapplications aside ... This is what I have so far: iptables (for gen. packet filtering) fail2ban (brute force attack defense) ssh (chang default, port disable root access) modsecurity - is really clumsy and a pain (any alternative here?) ?Sudo why should I use it? what is the advantage to normal user handling thinking about greensql for mysql www.greensql.net is tripwire worth looking at? snort? What am I missing? What is hot and what is not? Best practices? I like "KISS" - Keep it simple secure, I know it would be nice! Thanks in advance ...

  • Silverlight running in IE kiosk mode

    Hi, We are having a weird problem where by we are running a silveright application in IE8 kiosk mode, the shortcut is added to windows startup. The silverlight app runs on localhost. It all works fine until you reboot, IE displays "navigation to the webpage was canceled" when it loads. Yet the shortcut works fine, if you close IE and manually go into the startup folder and run the shortcut, or run the same shortcut from the desktop. I assume there is some sort of timing issue but have no idea what. Tried using 127.0.0.1 instead of localhost incase DNS hadn't been properly initialised at that point or something. Maybe an IIS initialisation problem? Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for your time
