  • How should i center my page?

    I have two parts to my site. The main body and the sidebar. The body is 6in and sidebar will probably be 200px. How do i center my page? So there is equal space on the left and right side? It should center no matter the resolution. Using XHTML 1.0 Strict. Should work on all major browsers or at least Firefox and chrome.

    I used it before, and was reminded of it when someone asked about a tool to strip unsused CSS from a stylsheet. I went back to the link, but it's gone, what happened to it?     I have a bunch of 200X120 thumbnails and a bunch of high quality images, Apparently when I just resize the thumbnails with img size the quality suffers, so we are loading two images from the server the image thumbnail and the actual, I am just trying to optimize my site for speed a little saw someone mention embedding thumbs in the image, does anyone know a program that does that? Is this the best way to achieve my goal of high quality thumbnails?

  • PHP: parse URL for matching directory /somedirectory/ and execute conditional code

    This has to be pretty simple, but I'd like to parse the current URL and execute conditional code depending on whether the user is on the /sitemap/ directory. So for example, if the site is example.com, and if the request is example.com/sitemap/. Then I want to execute conditional code in that case. I'm using wordpress so I'm not sure if there is a built-in function that gets this... A pure PHP solution is fine.

But this doesn't work, it will outputs the URL to screen and doesn't put it test=$(curl -I "http://www.redirectURL.com/" 2> /dev/null | grep "location" | sed -E 's/location:[ ]+//g') echo "1..$test..2" Which then outputs: ..2http://www.newURLfromRedirect.com/bla Whats going on?
