    I'm building a program, and I'm quite confident using Objective-C, but I don't know how to programmatically download a file from the web and copy it on the hard drive. I started with : NSString url = @"http://spiritofpolo.com/images/logo.png"; NSData* data = [NSData dataWithContentsOfURL:[NSURL URLWithString:url]]; But then I don't know what to do with the data... that sucks, no ;) Can somebody help?

  • reloading app.config after writing

    Hi, When I use this to write to my app.config file: Configuration config =ConfigurationManager.OpenExeConfiguration(ConfigurationUserLevel.None); config.AppSettings.Settings["Wachtwoord"].Value = "Test"; config.Save(); ConfigurationManager.RefreshSection("appSettings"); I can read it again. But when i close and restart the program, the value of "Wachtwoord" has changed again to the old value. Does anybody how I could fix this? Thanks

    I am creating an interpreter for my esolang, and I need the user to enter some text which then will be interpreted as an INTERCAL program. I want the user to enter text, which may contain any character including newlines, until the user presses ^X (Ctrl-X), like this: Enter your code followed by ^X: Bla Blablabla Bla^X Thank you for entering your code (line 2, 3 and 4 were entered by the user) can anyone explain me how I can read input including newlines till the user enters ^X?     I have a rather simple hadoop question which i'll try to present with an example say you have a list of strings and a large file and you want each mapper to process a piece of the file and one of the strings in a grep like program. how are you supposed to do that? I am under the impression that the number of mappers is a result of the inputsplits produced. I could run subsequent jobs, one for each string, but it seems kinda... messy?

    I am using AppleScript to close windows in Google Sketchup as follows: $ osascript -e 'tell application "SketchUp" to close window 1' When I close the window, the program prompts me to save, and there is a dialog box with buttons "Don't Save", "Cancel", and "Save...". How do I make my script click on the "Don't Save" button in this situation? Also, if there is a better way of closing the window, I'm all ears.
