  • WPF Binding to code behind methods

    - by Matt B
    Hi all, This is annoying - I know how I'd do it in web... I have a wpf image and I want to bind it's source property to a method, and pass in a property from it's bound item. IE. <image source="GetMySource({binding name})" /> Where GetMySource is protected string GetMySource(string name) { return "images/"+name+".png"; }

  • What is the best way to create related types at runtime?

    - by SniperSmiley
    How do I determine the type of a class that is related to another class at runtime? I have figured out a solution, the only problem is that I ended up having to use a define that has to be used in all of the derived classes. Is there a simpler way to do this that doesn't need the define or a copy paste? Things to note: both the class and the related class will always have their respective base class, the different classes can share a related class, and as in the example I would like the control class to own the view. #include <iostream> #include <string> class model; class view { public: view( model *m ) {} virtual std::string display() { return "view"; } }; #define RELATED_CLASS(RELATED)\ typedef RELATED relatedType;\ virtual relatedType*createRelated(){\ return new relatedType(this);} class model { public: RELATED_CLASS(view) model() {} }; class otherView : public view { public: otherView( model *m ) : view(m) {} std::string display() { return "otherView"; } }; class otherModel : public model { public: RELATED_CLASS(otherView) otherModel() {} }; class control { public: control( model *m ) : m_(m), v_( m->createRelated() ) {} ~control() { delete v_; } std::string display() { return v_->display(); } model *m_; view *v_; }; int main( void ) { model m; otherModel om; model *pm = &om; control c1( &m ); control c2( &om ); control c3( pm ); std::cout << c1.display() << std::endl; std::cout << c2.display() << std::endl; std::cout << c3.display() << std::endl; }

  • What/Where are the Naming Rules for Controller actions in a Zend_Application App

    - by Alan Storm
    I've created a Zend_Application using the zf tool that's bundled with Zend Framework (1.96, if that matters) What at the rules for formatting action names and how those action names get translated into into URL paths, and where in the Framework codebase does this happen? I ask because I tried to create an action like public function createFooAction() { } and it wouldn't load with a URL like http://example.com/controller/createFoo BUT, the following did work public function createfooAction() { } http://example.com/controller/createfoo I also know non-alphanumeric characters get treated differently, and I'd like to know the base rules I'm dealing with.

  • How to clear all form fields from code-behind?

    - by Slauma
    HTML has an input button type to reset all fields in a form to their initial state in one step: <input type="reset" ... />. Is there a similar simple way to reset all form fields of an aspx page from code-behind? Or is it necessary to reset all controls one by one with TextBox1.Text=string.Empty, TextBox2.Text=string.Empty, etc. ? Thanks in advance!

    - by sdellysse
    I've always been one to simply use List<String> names = new ArrayList<String>(); I use the interface as the type name for portability, so that when I ask questions such as these I can rework my code. When should LinkedList should be used over ArrayList and vice-versa?

  • Is Delete cascade possible in ravendb

    - by user1811801
    Still just a starter in ravendb. I have a doubt whether raven db supports some kind of referential integrity. Here is my doubt and work.. I have document type screens as below public class Screens { public String Id { get; set; } public String ScreenName { get; set; } } And Another document named RightsDeclaration as below public class RightsDeclaration { public RightsDeclaration() { _screenrights = new List<ScreenRight>(); } public String Id { get; set; }// Role Name List<ScreenRight> _screenrights; public List<ScreenRight> ScreenRights { get { return _screenrights; } set { _screenrights = value; } } } Now the screen rights class looks like below with the screen name field as below public class ScreenRight : { public String ScreenName { get; set; } public Boolean Create { get; set; } public Boolean Read { get; set; } public Boolean Update { get; set; } public Boolean Delete { get; set; } public Boolean Approve { get; set; } public Boolean Access { get; set; } public Boolean Print { get; set; } public Boolean Email { get; set; } } Now first i will create some list of screens and then i assign rights for each role with mentioning what is the screen name and list of rights. up to this point everything goes fine. Now in a scenario where if i would delete the screen name in screens class but then the screen rights for that screen still exists in the rights declaration. is it possible to delete the corresponding screen rights from userrights document too? if so please mention the query or idea to do the above.. Thanks in advance..

  • CDI SessionScoped Bean results in two instances in same session

    - by Ryan
    I've got two instances of a SessionScoped CDI bean for the same session. I was under the impression that there would be one instance generated for me by CDI, but it generated two. Am I misunderstanding how CDI works, or did I find a bug? Here is the bean code: package org.mycompany.myproject.session; import java.io.Serializable; import javax.enterprise.context.SessionScoped; import javax.faces.context.FacesContext; import javax.inject.Named; import javax.servlet.http.HttpSession; @Named @SessionScoped public class MyBean implements Serializable { private String myField = null; public MyBean() { System.out.println("MyBean constructor called"); FacesContext fc = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance(); HttpSession session = (HttpSession)fc.getExternalContext().getSession(false); String sessionId = session.getId(); System.out.println("Session ID: " + sessionId); } public String getMyField() { return myField; } public void setMyField(String myField) { this.myField = myField; } } Here is the Facelet code: <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8' ?> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xmlns:h="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html" xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core"> <f:view contentType="text/html" encoding="UTF-8"> <h:head> <title>Test</title> </h:head> <h:body> <h:form id="form"> <h:inputText value="#{myBean.myField}"/> <h:commandButton value="Submit"/> </h:form> </h:body> </f:view> </html> Here is the output from deployment and navigating to page: INFO: Loading application org.mycompany_myproject_war_1.0-SNAPSHOT at /myproject INFO: org.mycompany_myproject_war_1.0-SNAPSHOT was successfully deployed in 8,237 milliseconds. • BASH tr command

    - by user1457809
    Id like to convert it to uppercase for the simple purpose of formatting so it will adhere to a future case statement. As I thought case statements are case sensitive. I see all over the place the tr command used in concert with echo commands to give you immediate results such as: echo "Enter in Location (i.e. SDD-134)" read answer (user enters "cfg" echo $answer | tr '[:lower:]' '[:upper:]' which produced cfg # first echo not upper? echo $answer #echo it again and it is now upper... CFG
