  • How do I pass session variables from one domain to another in PHP

    Hi everyone, I have encountered a situation where I need to pass $_SESSION variables from one domain to an iFrame page from another domain. I have spent the last 16 days trying various methods to no avail. I think that the only logical way would be to encode the variables in the url that calls the iFrame and decode them in th iFrame page. I am not sure how to go about this and I am looking for any samples, assistance etc that I can find. Thanks for any and all suggestions. Here is an example of what I am trying to do... Further once that is done how to I get the session vars back as session vars on that new domain iFrame page...

So my problem is when I am getting the student name from the dropdown list and going to select a student it will also fetch all the respective values of the student to be rendered in the _form.php without click on save button.So that user don't have to put it again manually. I think ajax and json encode will work here but don't know how to make them work here.     Hi, i have to implement flash streaming for the relaunch of our video-on-demand system but either because i haven't worked with flash-related systems before or because i'm too stupid i cannot get the system to work as it has to. We need: Per file & user access control with checks on a WebService every minute if the lease time ran out mid-stream: cancelling the stream rtmp streaming dynamic bandwidth checking Video Playback with Flowplayer (existing license) I've got the streaming and bandwidth check working, i just can't seem to get the access control working. I have no idea how i know which file is played back or how i can play back a file depending on a key the user has entered. My second idea was to let flowplayer play a file, pass the key as query string and if the filename and key don't match then reject the connection but i can't seem to find out which file it's currently playing. The only remaining idea i have is: create a list of all files the user is allowed to open and set allowReadAccess or however it was called to allow those files, but that would be clumsy due to the current infrastructure.   • Java Applet Deployment, ClassNotFoundException (primary class)

    This is driving me up the wall. I have checked and rechecked spelling and paths. I have tried just about every combination of paths, including relative, absolute, and full http paths. I continue to get the following error when trying to load a Java applet: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: AppletClient.class at sun.plugin2.applet.Applet2ClassLoader.findClass(Unknown Source) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.Plugin2ClassLoader.loadCode(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.Plugin2Manager.createApplet(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.Plugin2Manager$AppletExecutionRunnable.run(Unknown Source) at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source) Exception: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: AppletClient.class The HTML used to load the applet: <applet width="100" height="100" archive="applet/myapplet.jar, applet/applet_dependency.jar" code="AppletClient.class"> <param value="blahblah" name="username"> <param value="false" name="codebase_lookup"> </applet> The applet is in a relative directory, "applet", from the path of the current page. I have unzipped the jar file and can see AppletClient.class. Also, in the source of the project, it is spelled that way (casing and all). I have tried with/without the parameters. I have changed the names of the archive jars in the applet include tag just to see if I get a different error for bad file names (same error). I have manually done GETs on the jars to make sure the server is responding to the requests (it is). I have tried with and without the codebase tag, with all different varieties of paths (start getting bad "magic number" errors on those). I know that this error sometimes pops up when a dependency fails to load, so it can be misleading, but all dependencies are present, accounted for, and are fetchable via manual GETs. Between each and every attempt I always clear my cache in FireFox. These problems are reproduced in IE8 and Chrome as well. Per my Java Console from the browser, I am running Java Plug-in 1.6.0_20. This is from the same machine that I develop the applet on, which runs fine via Eclipse. Finally, I kicked on Fiddler2, and I don't see a single request for the jar files anywhere The host site is running from my Visual Studio debugger, so it's running on localhost. But I see the requests for all the other resources on Fiddler. Just... no Jars. ANYWHERE. I clear the log, cleared my browser cache, and did a ctrl-R refresh. And still, not a single Jar request on the Fiddler log. I even did a delayed write (with JS) of the applet tag after the page loaded, once all the Fiddler activity slowed down. The element gets written to the document (and I can see the 100x100 Java error window), but not a single request shows up on Fiddler. Any suggestions, before I go crawl into the corner and cry myself to sleep?   • Google Maps API v3: Turning user input coordinates to latlng?

    I'm new with Google Maps. I'm trying to turn coordinates a user inputs to move a marker I have on my map to those coordinates. For instance, if the user inputs 50.75, 74.1 the marker will pan to that coordinate. Unfortunately, I couldn't get it to work.   • subset in geom_point SOMETIMES returns full dataset, instead of none.

    I ask the following in the hope that someone might come up with a generic description about the problem.Basically I have no idea whats wrong with my code. When I run the code below, plot nr. 8 turns out wrong. Specifically the subset in geom_point does not work the way it should. (update: With plot nr. 8 the whole dataset is plottet, instead of only the subset). If somebody can tell me what the problem is, I'll update this post. I created another button for nicEdit, a video button and wanted to insert some formatted text into the editor DIV (note: nicEdit has inline DIV, no iframe, no textarea).     Hi, I have a asp.net button which has click event which basically adds data into datbase. I also have a radiobuttonlist(i.e Approve / Decline) and a textbox. If user selects decline, the textbox becomes visible. I want to run validation that when user clicks on submit button, if the decline is selected then the textbox can not blank. I have used jquery validation for that. when I click button, the message apppears next to textbox that the field is required but it does not stop the execution of code behind. i.e.It adds data into database.   • Editing a Gridview row with drop-down lists gets too wide - how can I use popup panels instead?

    I have a series of GridViews in a Tab Panel - databound to a generic List of Business Objects. The columns in the Gridview are all similar to the following: <asp:TemplateField HeaderText="Company" SortExpression="Company.ShortName"> <ItemTemplate> <asp:Label ID="lblCompany" runat="server" Text='<%# Bind("Company.ShortName") %>'></asp:Label> </ItemTemplate> <EditItemTemplate> <asp:DropDownList ID="ddlCompany" runat="server"></asp:DropDownList> </EditItemTemplate> </asp:TemplateField> The GridView generates the "Edit" link at the beginning of the row, all the events fire ok. The problem is that the data is getting long. When in 'display mode', it's fine because the GridView control is smart enough to break some text into multiple lines (in particular Project, Title and Worker names can get pretty long). The problem come in editing mode. Drop-down lists DON'T break entries into multiple lines (for obvious reasons). Going into Edit ode on a row in the Gridview can make the Griview expand horizontally to twice the screen size (blowing through the width limits in the Master page and CSS but that's only a related problem). What I need is something like the ModalPopup - but trying to tie it to an ID in an EditItemTemplate gives me errors when the page renders (because the 'ddlXXXX' doesn't exist at the time). In addition I don't know how to dynamically populate the panel so that I can get a response from it (like the ID of the Company they selected). I'm also trying to avoid javascript and would like this to be a 'pure' aspx/code-behind solution (for simplicity's sake among others). All the examples I find are of Modal Popups with the panels pre-defined. Even if it (the popup panel) were something like a list of checkboxes, it could be databound to the SortedList I have ready to go and an OK/Cancel button combination to accept or ignore things. I'm just not sure of what goes where. I'm open to suggestions. Thanks in advance.   • Why doesn't my QsciLexerCustom subclass work in PyQt4 using QsciScintilla?

    My end goal is to get Erlang syntax highlighting in QsciScintilla using PyQt4 and Python 2.6. I'm running on Windows 7, but will also need Ubuntu support. PyQt4 is missing the necessary wrapper code for the Erlang lexer/highlighter that "base" scintilla has, so I figured I'd write a lightweight one on top of QsciLexerCustom. It's a little bit problematic, because the Qsci wrapper seems to really want to talk about line+index rather than offset-from-start when getting/setting subranges of text. Meanwhile, the lexer gets arguments as offset-from-start. For now, I get a copy of the entire text, and split that up as appropriate. I have the following lexer, and I apply it with setLexer(). It gets all the appropriate calls when I open a new file and sets this as the lexer, and prints a bunch of appropriate lines based on what it's doing... but there is no styling in the document. I tried making all the defined styles red, and the document is still stubbornly black-on-white, so apparently the styles don't really "take effect" What am I doing wrong? If nobody here knows, what's the appropriate discussion forum where people might actually know these things? (It's an interesting intersection between Python, Qt and Scintilla, so I imagine the set of people who would know is small) Let's assume prefs.declare() just sets up a dict that returns the value for the given key (I've verified this -- it's not the problem).     All, I'm working on reproducing the pulsing Blue circle effect that the map uses to show your own location... I layered a UIView over a MKMapView. The UIView contains the pulsing animation. While the position I want highlighted is centered on the screen the animation works ok, once I've dragged the position so it's no longer centered the animation now pulses starting at the center of the screen scaling up to center on the position dragged off center, and back again... A humorous and cool effect, but not what I was looking for. I realize I may have been lucky on several fronts. I'm not sure what I misunderstood. I think the animation is scaling the entire layer which just happens to have my circle drawn in the middle of it. So it works when centered but not when off center. Sooo, any suggestions or do I need to provide additional information.

    Hi all I'm working on a GMaps application to retrieve images, via getJSON(), and to populate a popup marker. (all links open in new windows)</p> <ul> <li><a id="camp-hp-link" target="_blank" href="">camp home page</a></li> <li>information: <a id="camp-av-link" target="_blank" href="">availability</a> | <a id="camp-vi-link" target="_blank" href="">vital information</li> </ul> <p id="message"></p> I've been clawing out my eyes and woohoo for the past couple of days, trying to get the images to show inside the CampWindow . Then, I decided to think laterally and to see if the images were being retrieved at all. I then moved the images outside and sure as Bob (Hope), the images were being retrieved and refreshed with every click. So, I decided to the keep the images outside and then once loaded, append it to the CampWindow . It's not working still; when I append the div to the main CampWindow div, the images won't show. I check in Firebug with the pointer thingy and it shows me the images as empty. I try it again with the images outside and it shows the images. I've tried before append and appendTo with no success. Am I missing something here? I have no more woohoo to claw out.   • Getting the DirectShow VideoRender filter to respond to MediaType changes on its Input Pin?

    Below is the code extract from my decoder transform filter which takes in data from my source filter which is taking RTP network data from an IP camera. The source filter, decode filter can dynamically respond to changes in the camera image dimensions since I need to handle resolution changes in the decode library. I've used the 'ReceiveConnection' method as described in the DirectShow help, passing the new MediaType data in the next sample. However, I can't get the Video Mixing Renderer to accept the resolution changes dynamically even though the renderer will render the different resolution if the graph is stopped and restarted. Can anyone point out what I need to do to get the renderer to handle dynamic resolution changes?   • Conflict between some JavaScript and jQuery on same page

    I am using a JavaScript function and some jQuery to perform two actions on a page. I've added the jQuery image gallery called galleria to one of the tabs. The gallery works great when it resides in the div that is intially set to display:block. However, when it is in one of the divs that is set to display: none; part of the gallery doesn't work when the div is toggled to be visible. Specifically, the following css ceases to be written (this is created by galleria jQuery): element.style { display:block; height:50px; margin-left:-17px; width:auto; } For the life of me, I can't figure out why the gallery fails when it's div is set to display: none. Since this declaration is overwritten when a tab is clicked (via the Javascript functions above), why would this cause a problem? As I mentioned, it works perfectly when it lives the in display: block; div. Any ideas? I don't expect anybody to be familiar with the jQuery galleria image gallery... but perhaps an idea of how one might repair this problem? Thanks!
