    I have been trying to open a hidden default browser from delphi but coulnd't. I tried ShellExecute(self.WindowHandle,'open','www.google.com',nil,nil, SW_HIDE); and I get my chrome browser open but not hidden, and it opens a tab not a new window, also tried with TStartupInfo with the same results. Is there another way to achieve this?

    I guess it is not possible to set stroke property such as CSS which is quite easy. With CSS we have dashed, dotted, solid but on canvas when drawing lines/or strokes this doesn't seem to be an option. How have you implemented this?     What url encoding a web browser uses while submitting data to server? with my application i use HttpUtility.UrlEncode(string data) but do not get result as i get with web browser. My application submit some text data to forum. When i am submitting data with web browser (Google Chrome) the exact text i can see submitted to server but when i am submitting using my application it showing some character different. So is this necessary to submit any data to server must be url encoded?

In any browser (firefox, opera, etc.), getURL("http://www.google.com"); works but in IE versions 7 and 8 it just hangs.
