    I have a problem while using the file_get_contents function. I am using it to get a response from a different web server, but it's not returning anything (shown as empty string using var_dump). Also, the problem is only while calling this specific server, because I got result when I used Google's address; and it's working fine in my local machine. I've tried cUrl too - but same result.

    Hi, I am looking for ideas for how I can stop external scripts connecting with my site. I'm looking for the same kind of idea behind Google. As in if a certain amount of requests are made per a certain amount of time then block the IP address or something. I thought there maybe a htaccess solution if not, I will write a PHP one.     I need a way of generating a word document (from a template or something) and inserting an image at a specific place. Does anyone have any pointers on the best way to do this? I worked on a project that used Office Automation in .NET 1.1 a few years ago, and it was really unspeakably poor. I'm assuming OA has either been improved or been superceeded by a better solution, but I'm not finding much advice on google.
