    Hi i have a document from which i am trying to extract a date. But the problem is within the node along with the date their is some text too. Something like <div class="postHeader"> Posted on July 20, 2009 9:22 PM PDT </div> From this tag i just want the date item not the Posted on text. something like ./xhtml:div[@class = 'postHeader'] is getting everything. and to be precise, the document i have is basically a nodelist of this elements for eg i will get 10 nodes of these elements with different date values but to be worse the problem is sometime inside these tags some random other tags also pops us like anchors etc. Can i write a universal expath which will just get the date out of the div tag?

    So you have a long running process, perhaps with a progress bar, and you want a text estimate of the remaining time, eg: "5 minutes remaining" "30 seconds remaining" etc. If you don't actually want to report clock time (due to accuracy or resolution or update-rate issues) but want to stick to the text summary, what is the correct paradigm? Is "one minute" left displayed from 0 to 60 seconds? or from 1:00 to 1:59? Say there's 1:35 Left - is that "2 minutes remaining" or "1 minute remaining"? Do you just pare it down to "A few minutes left" when you're less than 3 minutes? What is the preferred (least user-frustrating) method?

    hi all, I'm using jQuery to parse some XML, like so: function enumOptions(xml) { $(xml).find("animal").each(function(){ alert($(this).text()); }); } enumOptions("<root><animal>cow</animal><animal>squirrel</animal></root>"); This works great. However if I try and look for nodes called "option" then it doesn't work: function enumOptions(xml) { $(xml).find("option").each(function(){ alert($(this).text()); }); } enumOptions("<root><option>cow</option><option>squirrel</option></root>"); There's no error, just nothing gets alerted, as if the find isn't finding anything. It only does it for nodes called option everything else I tested works ok! I'm using the current version of jQuery - 1.4.2. Anyone any idea? TIA. bg

The problem is that the function returns different results if i change the order of possible encodings with mb_detect_order() function.     I'm pretty new to c programming and want to port a windows c application to linux. My code uses a .lib file va_g729.lib - is it possible to use the same library in Linux and compile it with gcc? All my .c and .h files along with the one .lib files are in the same directory. What I'm doing now is executing this command in the directory: gcc *.c -lm and I get following errors: lbcodec2.c:(.text+0xa6b): undefined reference to `va_g729a_init_encoder' lbcodec2.c:(.text+0xa83): undefined reference to `va_g729a_encoder' collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status Is it possible to link the .lib file and compile with gcc? However, it's not enough to justify a completely new StyleSheet. So is it OK if I use Browser Detection to decide what CSS to apply to an element? EDIT Ok, let's be SPECIFIC. I'm talking about a text-shadow inside a button (<input type="button"/>) The text inside the button isn't vertically centered in all browsers, so I tweak this with JS depending on the browser.

  • Why is Django sending the wrong email template?

I keep staring at this code, looking for the typo, but I can't find it! template = 'emails/transporter_joined' tt = loader.get_template(template+'.txt') c = Context({'user':user, 'fee': settings.FEE * Decimal('100.00'),'settings':settings}) e = EmailMultiAlternatives('Activate Your Account', tt.render(c), '[email protected]', [user.email]) try: ht = loader.get_template(template+'.html') e.attach_alternative(ht.render(c), 'text/html') except: pass e.send() First it should load the 'emails/transporter_joined.txt' template, and adds that to the email. And then it tries to load a '.html' version and attaches that too. In Gmail you can see the the "original email" with both emails, and all the headers in plain text. It very clearly shows the .txt version twice. the .html and .txt files are definitely different. What am I doing wrong here? If I replace this tt = loader.get_template(template+'.txt') With .html instead, then it sends the .html twice... it must be Django that's screwing up, no?
