• Machine learning challenge: diagnosing program in java/groovy (datamining, machine learning)

  Hi All! I'm planning to develop program in Java which will provide diagnosis. The data set is divided into two parts one for training and the other for testing. My program should learn to classify from the training data (BTW which contain answer for 30 questions each in new column, each record in new line the last column will be diagnosis 0 or 1, in the testing part of data diagnosis column will be empty - data set contain about 1000 records) and then make predictions in testing part of data :/ I've never done anything similar so I'll appreciate any advice or information about solution to similar problem. I was thinking about Java Machine Learning Library or Java Data Mining Package but I'm not sure if it's right direction... ? and I'm still not sure how to tackle this challenge... Please advise. • Zend_Form : Adding fields in sub-forms on user's click

  I'm having a zend form - comprised of a number of zend - sub forms, where the user is creating a new question (its a content management system). In one of the subforms, the user can click on a button to add more textfields, like this: [----------] [----------] [click to add more] which should give [----------] [----------] [----------] [click to add more] I'm trying to set a flag in the sub form in question - or set a count on how many times the button has been clicked, to add that many total fields to the subform - but its simply not working. I tried using a static count variable - but the value doesnt get incremented at all. Any thoughts on how to do this in a Zend-subform within a zend form? I'll definitely update if I hit a solution. • Extending Code Igniter functions to external PHP Scripts

  Hello everybody. I'm doing a small web app, which uses CKeditor for user input, and CKfinder for file management (images/flash). Those who know CKFinder, algo know that the config file for CKFinder as a function named CheckAuthentication() that returns false or true, giving or not permissions to use CKFinder. This is were a Custom PHP Code checks if the user as authorization to access CKFinder or not. Well for my app I'm using Code Igniter, and of course I've created a model were i handle everything about User Permissions, Loggin, Session Cookies, etc. And i also have a function witch its propose is just to check if the user is Logged in. So I would like to know if someone knows a way that i can call the function isLoggedIn() inside the model security from inside the function CheckAuthentication() in CKFinder config file. • VBA ActiveX controls grow in size over Remote Desktop Connection

  We have an Excel workbook with a number of ActiveX controls, running in Excel 2003 on Windows XP. When connecting using Remote Desktop, the ActiveX controls change font, sometimes font size, and sometimes orientation (in the case of a spinner control). This happens on first connection and also as the workbook is used - some of the controls then enlarge in size, often overlapping other controls and part of the workbook. I read somewhere this may be caused by improper connection management (not closing them) leading to increasing memory usage; are there other reasons why the display is so different over Remote Desktop and are there workarounds? (the properties of each control usually remain the same, so force-resizing them doesn't always have an effect)

• sqllite and populating list view, android

  I am populating a text and list view from a sqllite database. The data is populating from the cursor correctly (I see the list filling with text rows), but I'm not able to see the actual text in the rows - all I see are empty rows. For the life of me, I can't figure out what I'm not able to see the data in the text rows. • Restarting Tomcat from Tomcat itself

  Hello, is it possible to restart Tomcat6 by executing a JSP? This because I would like to deploy the changes of an application by doing it remotely using the webserver. The deploy script is written in bash and it checkouts the latest version from the svn, then package it as a war, then copy it in /webapps/ while adding some libs. If I execute it from a JSP (for example by using System.execute(..) will it cause problems? The fact is that the script itself is something like: /etc/init.d/tomcat6 stop # do things /etc/init.d/tomcat6 start so I don't think it would work.. is there a way to execute a stand-alone process from inside tomcat?

• Netbeans autocomplete unusably slow/nonfunctional in Netbeans 6.8 Latest

  I'm running a 2.5Ghz C2D with 4GB RAM, so there's no reason hardwre-wise why Netbeans should be peforming so poorly. Using the latest Netbeans release and grails plugin (installed via the plugin manager), automcomplete is either too slow to use or doesn't work at all. If I'm within a class, and I attempt to auto-complete a field, it takes 3-4 seconds before being able to finish the field name. If I'm in a class of the same package (like a unit test), I can't get any of the properties to appear on the object. Furthermore, it says "Scanning in progress" for a full 5-6 seconds before pulling up the method list. Is there a way to fix this behavior?

We currently use OnTime for our bug tracking software and subversion for our SCM. I was wondering what advantages TFS 2010 has over OnTime? • VS2010, MSDeploy and declaration of parameters

  Hi I'm trying to deploy an ASP.NET MVC 2 app using MSDeploy. I use VS2010 to generate the package as a ZIP. Inside that ZIP is a parameters.xml file that declares the parameters that I can set. I want to be able to set more parameters, using the auto-generated deploy.cmd file like this: MySite.deploy.cmd "-setParam:name='IIS Web Application Name',value=MySite" "-setParam:name=IisVirtualDirectoryPhysicalPath,value=C:\inetpub\MySite" "-setParam:name=httpBinding,value=*:80:www.mysite.dk" That works fine, except for the httpBinding param. That is because that parameter is not declared inside the parameters.xml file that is added to the ZIP container. I could go and add that parameter declaration manually, but isn't there a way to do it from the command line and have it declare parameters I have in another XML file?

I was wondering whether the following are possible using the package: Add help texts beside/below input/select fields and textareas (e.g. "This field is required", "Example: qwerty123") Add/modify attributes for the input/select fields and textareas (e.g. adding the following attributes: class, id, name, maxlength, minlength, etc.) Add custom validations like checking whether a particular field should be unique or checking a value against a regular expression Modify the error messages Add another column to the table generated by the form Also note that djangoforms.ModelForm is different from django.forms.Form.

• Ado.net performance:What does SNIReadSync do?

  We have a query that takes 2 seconds to run in Sql Server Management Studio but it takes 13 seconds to be shown on a client screen. I used dotTrace to profile my source code and noticed there is this SNIReadSync method (part of ADO.net assemblies)that takes a lot of time to do its job(9 seconds).I ran my source over server so I could omit the network effects and the result was the same. It doesn't matter if I'm using OleDBConnection or SqlConnection. It doesn't matter if I'm using a DataReader or a DataSet. Connection pooling does not solve this issue(as my result shows). I want to start using their framework, but for some reason the iPhone SDK is always "loading" when in the "TEST & PACKAGE" tab. Have you guys found a fix for this? I have: Snow Leopard 10.6.3 Titanium Developer 1.2.1 iPhone SDK 3.2 All the certificates "blah blah" from Apple because I am able to test and deploy apps on my device using XCode. Help please :)

• Security Level for WebBrowser control in C#

  I am trying to migrate an .hta application to a C# executable. Of course, since it's an .hta the code is all HTML and Jscript, with calls to local ActiveX objects. I created a C# executable project and am just using the WebBrowser control to display the HTML content. Simply renamed the .hta to an .html and took out the HTA declarations. Everything works great, except that when I make calls to the ActiveX objects, I get a security popup warning of running an ActiveX control on the page. I understand why this is happening since the WebBrowser control is essentially IE and uses the Internet Options security settings, but is there any way to get the WebBrowser control to bypass security popups, or a way to register the executable or DLLs as being trusted without having to change settings in Internet Options? Even a way to do on a deployment package would work as well.

  I have problems installing PHPUnit 3.4.6 via PEAR 1.9.0. After I discover channel pear.phpunit.de and try to use one of following commands: pear install phpunit/PHPUnit pear install --alldeps phpunit/PHPUnit pear install --onlyreqdeps phpunit/PHPUnit it fails, giving me following error: No releases available for package "pear.phpunit.de/PHPUnit" install failed I found several threads from people with the same problem, but upgrading PEAR to the newest version usually worked for them. Also there seems to be close to no tutorials for installing PHPUnit for Windows. EDIT: I've also tried to change prefered_state to beta; didn't help. I've also tried to get list of all available packages: pear remote-list -c phpunit It gives me another error: Cannot download non-http URL "/c/categories.xml"

  There wasn't much on google about this error, so I'm askin here. I'm switching a PHP web application from using MySQL to SQL Server 2008 (using ODBC, not php_mssql). Running queries or anything else isn't a problem, but when I try to do scope_identity (or any similar functions), I get the error "Executing SQL directly; no cursor". I'm doing this immediately after an insert, so it should still be in scope. Running the same insert statement then query for the insert ID works fine in SQL Server Management Studio. Here's my code right now (everything else in the database wrapper class works fine for other queries, so I'll assume it isn't relevant right now): function insert_id(){ return $this->query_first("SELECT SCOPE_IDENTITY() as insert_id"); } query_first being a function that returns the first result from the first field of a query (basically the equivalent of execute_scalar() on .net).   Hi, I am trying to install Eclipse Galileo on my MacBook running OS X v10.6 (Snow Leopard) and set it up with ADT plugin. I downloaded 64-bit cocoa version of "Eclipse Galileo for JEE developers" and ADT v0.9.6 from the respective offical sites. When I try to add this new plugin-archive in Eclipse, I get the following error: Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found ....missing requirement: ADT requires 'org.eclipse.wst.sse.core 0.0.0' but it could not be found. AFAIK, one gets this error when a required Eclipse-plugin is missing. I checked the official site and saw that wst-plugin is actually bundled with "Eclipse for J2EE developers" download package. • Associate mount points with local disks in VBscript / WMI

  I have a VBscript that outputs various config items about a system. Both hardware and software. I can output disks and their associated partitions. I can output mount points. I do not seem to be able to associate a mount point with a local disk (where it actually is a local disk). I need to be able to do this using VBscript, so as to fit in with the rest of the ~2000 lines of code. I do NOT want to run some other program graphically. I know the disk manager service can show me (My Computer - Manage - Disk Management), but this is not what I need. I need to be able to do this remotely via VBscript. I am open to running an .exe from the VBscript and piping the output back into VBscript and massaging it from there. Any idea's ? Thanks in advance.
