• .NET (C#): Getting child windows when you only have a process handle or PID?

  Kind of a special case problem: I start a process with System.Diagnostics.Process.Start(..) The process opens a splash screen -- this splash screen becomes the main window. The splash screen closes and the 'real' UI is shown. The main window (splash screen) is now invalid. I still have the Process object, and I can query its handle, module, etc. But the main window handle is now invalid. I need to get the process's UI (or UI handle) at this point. Assume I cannot change the behavior of the process to make this any easier (or saner). I have looked around online but I'll admit I didn't look for more than an hour. Seemed like it should be somewhat trivial :-( Thanks

  Im developing a php booking system based on timeslot for daily basis. Ive set up 4 database tables! Bookslot (which store all the ids - id_bookslot, id_user, id_timeslot) Timeslot (store all the times on 15 minutes gap ex: 09:00, 09:15, 09:30, etc) Therapist (store all therapist details) User (store all the members detail) ID_BOOKSLOT ID_USER ID_THERAPIST ID_TIMESLOT 1 10 1 1 (09:00) 2 11 2 1 (09:00) 3 12 3 2 (09:15) 4 15 3 1 (09:00) Now, my issue is, it keep showing repeation for timeslot when i want echoing the data for example: thera a thera b thera c ------------------------------------------------- 09:00 BOOKED available available 09:00 available BOOKED available 09:00 available available BOOKED 09:15 available BOOKED available as you can see, 09:00 showing three times, and i want something like below thera a thera b thera c ------------------------------------------------- 09:00 BOOKED BOOKED BOOKED 09:15 available BOOKED available There might be something wrong with joining the table or else.   Here is my query. Its intention is allow access to properties of the animals that constitute a match of two animals. The match table contains columns for animal1ID and animal2ID to store which animals constitute the match. SELECT id, (SELECT * FROM animals WHERE animals.id=matches.animal1ID) AS animal1, (SELECT * FROM users WHERE animals.id=matches.animalID) AS animal2 FROM matches WHERE id=5 However, MySQl returns this error: Operand should contain 1 column(s). Why? Is there an alternative way to do this, perhaps with a JOIN statement?

  Is it possible using Linq to create a group where items fall into more than one group? Using the following trivial example: public class Data { public string ID; public int From; public int To; } And this list: List<Data> data = new List<Data>() { new Data() { ID = "A", From = 1, To = 3 }, // Call this A new Data() { ID = "B", From = 1, To = 2 }, // Call this B new Data() { ID = "C", From = 2, To = 3 } // Call this C }; I'd like to group by each possible integer in the ranges From and To (though instead of finding the min + max I could supply the query with the range I want, for example 1 to 3), and in each group would be a reference to the Data instance where the grouping int fits in its range. Hard to explain, easier to show each group and the instances I'd expect in each: [Group 1] 1 - A, B [Group 2] 2 - A, B, C [Group 3] 3 - A, C Is this possible? Or must groups be mutually exclusive?

  In one statement I'm trying to group rows of one table by joining to another table. I want to only get grouped rows where their grouped result is not empty. Ex. Items and Categories SELECT Category.id FROM Item, Category WHERE Category.id = Item.categoryId GROUP BY Category.id HAVING COUNT(Item.id) > 0 The above query gives me the results that I want but this is slow, since it has to count all the rows grouped by Category.id. What's a more effecient way? I was trying to do a Group By LIMIT to only retrieve one row per group. But my attempts failed horribly. Any idea how I can do this? Thanks

• jQuery: How do I insert an html string an arbitrary number of times (i.e. not with an each() function)?

  I just need to take a certain html query object and append it to an html element a lot of times. I have this: var box = $("<div class='box'>&nbsp</div>"); $("#firstbox").after(box); and it works fine, but it just adds one 'box' after the #firstbox element. I'd like to do something like this: var box = $("<div class='box'>&nbsp</div>"); $("#firstbox").after(box * 6000); so that it will insert 6000 copies of that 'box' html, but this is not working. This is I'm sure the easiest thing to do, but I can't seem to find how to multiply actions like this without using the each() function, which doesn't apply here because I don't have 6000 of anything on my page.   I'm trying to a single value in my DB...When I run it through the console, it works correctly (as I'm replacing the variables with numbers and text).. However, My query is not running correctly. It's just prompting a syntax error Here is what I have: "UPDATE books SET readstatus='".$readstatus."' WHERE book_id=".$book_id; This won't work, I also tried doing something like this as I'm told this makes it a bit more secure? : "UPDATE books SET readstatus='{$readstatus}', WHERE read_id='{read_id}'"; This does not prompt any errors, but no change is happeneing to the value in the DB, I'm guessing the syntax is incorrect.

• Delete rows out of table that is innerjoined and unioned with 2 others

  We have 3 tables (table1, table2, table3), and I need to delete all the rows from table1 that have the same ID in table2 OR table3. To see a list of all of these rows I have this code: ( select table2.ID, table2.name_first, table2.name_last, table2.Collected from table2 inner join table1 on table1.ID = table2.ID where table2.Collected = 'Y' ) union ( select table3.ID, table3.name_first, table3.name_last, table3.Collected from table3 inner join table1 on table1.ID = table3.ID where table3.Collected = 'Y' ) I get back about 200 rows. How do I delete them from table1? I don't have a way to test if my query will work, so I'm nervous about modifying something I found online and potentially deleting data (we do have backups, but I'd rather not test out their integrity). TIA!

  I have a SQLite data base which I am pulling data for a specific set of dates (lets say 01-01-2011 to 01-01-2011). What is the best way to implement this query into SQL. Ideally I would like the following line to run: SELECT * FROM database where start_date < date_stamp and end_date date_stamp This obviously does not work when I store the dates as strings. My solution (which I think is messy and I am hoping for another one) is to convert the dates into integers in the following format: YYYYMMDD Which makes the above line able to run (theoretically). IS there a better method? Using python sqlite3 Would the answer be any different if I were using SQL not SQLite

• Put empty spaces in an SQL select

  I'm having difficulty creating a month-count select query in SQL. Basically, I have a list of entries, all of which have a date associated with them. What I want the end result to be, is a list containing 12 rows (one for each month), and each row would contain the month number (1 for January, 2 for February, etc), and a count of how many entries had that month set as it's date. Something like this: Month - Count 1 - 12 2 - 0 3 - 7 4 - 0 5 - 9 6 - 0 I can get an result containing months that have a count of higher than 0, but if the month contains no entries, the row isn't created. I get this result just by doing SELECT Month(goalDate) as monthNumber, count(*) as monthCount FROM goalsList WHERE Year(goalDate) = 2012 GROUP BY Month(goalDate) ORDER BY monthNumber Thanks in advance for the help!

The method notifyAll() works in the same way as notify(), only it sends the signal to all of the threads waiting on the object.... Now my query is that if Lets say I have 5 threads and one main thread , so initially the main thread starts and then five other threads start , Now I want to send notification to third thread only , How could it be possible with the use of notify(), since here I am sending notification to third thread only , please advise.

• sprintf and % signs in text

  A problem I recently ran into was that when trying to update a field in my database using this code would not work. I traced it back to having a % sign in the text being updated ($note, then $note_escaped)... Inserting it with sprintf worked fine though. Should I not be using sprintf for updates, or should it be formed differently? • Problem setting up Master-Master Replication in MySQL

  I am attempting to setup Master-Master Replication on two MySQL database servers. I have followed the steps in this guide, but it fails in the middle of Step 4 with SHOW MASTER STATUS; It simply returns an empty set. I get the same 3 errors in both servers' logs. MySQL errors on SQL1: [ERROR] Failed to open the relay log './sql1-relay-bin.000001' (relay_log_pos 4) [ERROR] Could not find target log during relay log initialization [ERROR] Failed to initialize the master info structure MySQL Errors on SQL2: [ERROR] Failed to open the relay log './sql2-relay-bin.000001' (relay_log_pos 4) [ERROR] Could not find target log during relay log initialization [ERROR] Failed to initialize the master info structure The errors make no sense because I'm not referencing those files in any of my configurations. • Problems configuring nameserver in plesk

  Hello, i have some troubles with setting up a nameserver in PLESK for months now. I have tried all possible scenario's but i can not get this to work. I am really in need for some help, and if you can i will really appreciate it. Basically what i want is to just set up a nameserver in PLESK. I have a primary IP, and my host gave me a secondary nameserver i can use. My host is leaseweb in the netherlands. I have made some screenshots of the important parts in my opinion, maybe you guys can see some errors in them. To use the secondary nameserver provided by leaseweb i had to enable ACL on that account, i did so and made a screenshot of that too. The DNS recursion is set to localnets. These settings have not changed for months, so the dns should be fully updated everywhere. • Can't install any drivers at all on Windows 8. Error 0x000003F9

  I suddenly can't install any drivers at all on my Windows 8 Pro x64 install. It doesn't matter what kind of driver it is, nothing will install. Everything ends with error 0x000003F9: The system has attempted to load or restore a file into the registry, but the specified file is not in a registry file format. When Windows Update tries to install a driver, it just gives error code 800703F9 and says that "Windows Update ran into a problem." I've already done a scan of system files with sfc, tried another user account, done a chkdsk, and a few more things, but nothing works. The problem started when I tried to install drivers for my printer earlier today and suddenly started getting messages saying that "Windows Modules Installer has stopped working." I decided to restart and was being greeted with the recovery boot options. I shut the computer down, but when I booted it back up the same thing happened, so I did a repair your pc, and was able to boot into the OS properly. Then I rebooted into my external drive and did a chkdsk on the Windows 8 install that started acting funny. When I booted back into Windows 8, I wasn't able to install any drivers. They all keep coming up with the same error. And I can't seem to find anything at all on this issue. Any help would be much appreciated. • Using DEBUG Mode in Oracle SQL Developer to Log SQL

  Curious how we’re getting the data you see in SQL Developer when you click on something? While many of the dialogs provide a ‘SQL’ panel that shows you the SQL ABOUT to be generated, I’d rather see the SQL AS it’s executed. True, you could set a TRACE or fire up a Monitor Sessions report, but both of those solutions leave me hungry for more. Did you know that SQL Developer has a ‘debug’ mode? It slows the tool down a bit and spits out a lot of information you don’t care about, but it ALSO shows you ALL the SQL that is sent to the database, as you click around the tool! See ALL the SQL that SQL Developer sends to the database on your behalf Enable DEBUG Mode When you see the splash screen as SQL Developer fires up, frantically hit Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, SELECT, Start. Wait, wrong game. No, all you need to do is go to your SQL Developer directory and navigate down to the ‘bin’ directory. In that directory, find the ‘sqldeveloper.conf’ file. Install Directory - sqldeveloper - bin - sqldeveloper.conf Open it with a text editor. Find this line IncludeConfFile sqldeveloper-nondebug.conf And replace it with this line IncludeConfFile sqldeveloper-debug.conf Save the file. Start up SQL Developer. Observe the Logging Page – Log Panel for the SQL There’s going to be more than just SQL here. You’ll actually see a LOT of other information. If you’re having general problems with the tool and you want to see the nitty-gritty of what’s going on, then this is a good place to satisfy your curiosity and might help us diagnose your issue if you post to the forums or open a ticket with My Oracle Support. You’ll find ‘INFO’ entries that look a little something like this - This is the query used to populate your Tables list in the connection tree. You can double-click on the sql text and get a pop-up window that’s much easier to read. See all that typing we’re saving you? I don’t recommend running in DEBUG mode all the time. Capturing this information and displaying it is more expensive than not doing so. And it provides a lot of information you don’t normally need to see. But when you DO want to know what’s going on and why, this is an excellent way of getting that information. When you’re ready to go back to ‘normal’ mode, just close SQL Developer, go back to your .conf file, and add the ‘nondebug’ bit back.

  Just submitted my session abstracts for Ann Arbor's Day of .NET 2010.   Getting up to speed with .NET 3.5 -- Just in time for 4.0! Yes, C# 4.0 is just around the corner.  But if you haven't had the chance to use C# 3.5 extensively, this session will start from the ground up with the new features of 3.5.  We'll assume everyone is coming from C# 2.0.  This session will show you the details of extension methods, partial methods and more.  We'll also show you how LINQ -- Language Integrated Query -- can help decrease your development time and increase your code's readability.  If time permits, we'll look at some .NET 4.0 features, but the goal is to get you up to speed on .NET 3.5.   Go Ahead and Mock Me!
