  • installing zend framework

    I am running ubuntu hardy I installed zend framework using : sudo apt-get install zend-framework command Why did it not install zf.sh ? I want to be able to use the zend_tool using cli. How do I go about getting the zf.sh command to work?

  • C#, .NET 4.5 and Visual Studio 2012

    While I continue my affair with iOS / Android (which is now my bread / butter literally ); I also have managed to keep myself excited enough for all of new windows Stuff. Thanks to Priti Pushpak (my wife) for all the amazing Windows Phone 7 apps she is creating and uploading on appHub… I kind of like refreshing feel of win8 and apps. I also have fair bit of exposure on iPhone / iPad; Mac apps and I do put my two cents for win8 as well. If not an instant hit; win8 apps surely grows on you. So eventually win8 platform is here to stay. (oh yes and I cannot tell you how much hope I have for WP8 platform as well). Nevertheless; here is few topics I covered in a session on .Net 4.5  and on popular demand I am posting it all here… Note that for the demo you must have Win8 installed along with VS2012.     I know that this may be absolutely dumb but for the life of me I cannot figure out why I'm getting these errors in my Spring Project, it is basically from the MVC tutorial with a few modifications.   • Ubuntu+Mono+Postgres+ASP.NET 4.0. No problem?

    Would this be ok? I'm an ASP.NET developer and I'm planning to build "portable" web app servers based on Atom D510 mini-ITX. I have ran Ubuntu 10 with MySQL along with a separate IIS machines (win 2k3, 2k8) before with no problems. But now I'm thinking of "packaging" a web/db server into one small, cheap machine. I thought of Ubuntu/Mono/Postgres/ASP.NET, that it would be a good idea but I'm not sure? I have not actually tried it yet. Your thoughts?

    What do people think is the best JSF framework or library for a saving state longer than request scope (but w/o using session scope) that is backbutton/new window safe -- i.e. you have a "wizard"/multi-page form.   • Can't install .NET 4.0 on Windows XP virtual machine! (VMWare Player)

    So, every time I try to install .NET Framework 4.0 on my Windows XP Professional SP3 VMWare Player virtual machine, I get a fatal error. It doesn't work with either Windows Update, the Web Installer or the normal installer! I don't know if it matters (AND I HOPE IT DOES NOT), but the host OS's Operating System drive is encrypted, and the VM HDD file resides on that partition. I don't think it matters because other programs can be installed! And downloaded!

  • Determine opencore or stagefright framework for mediaplayer?

    I need to determine if a mediaplayer is using the opencore media framework, so that I can disable seeking for my streams. The opencore framework appears to fail silently with seeking, which I am having a hard time believing they allowed into production, but that seems the case nonetheless. I wish it were as simple as determining their SDK version, but droid phones that have api 8 seem to use opencore still, so doesn't seem to be a good option. Any ideas?

  • Upgrade to 4.0 Framework, then downgraded, now can't find Linq namespace?

    I just upgraded from VS2008 to VS2010. In the process, I allowed it to upgrade my DLL's to 4.0. I've decided that wasn't a good idea and now I've rolled back. It all works fine in VS2010, but when it hits my CI server (CruiseControl.Net), I get an error of: The type or namespace name 'Linq' does not exist in the namespace 'System' (are you missing an assembly reference? 3.5 is on the server, and other projects that use 3.5 build fine, so I don't think it's a framework issue. Anyone have any hints?
