  • Thunderbird: where can I find an overview of available userChrome CSS IDs?

    Following this earlier question on customizing the color of the message rows in Thunderbird, I now want to do the same for the folder pane. I assume if I use the same userchrome code and replace the appropriate css IDs (i.e. #threadTree) with the correct ones for the folder pane, I am all set. However, where can I find a list of all Thunderbird CSS id's that can be used in userchrome.css? I've googled and installed Thunderbird DOM inspector, but that didn't do the trick.

  • Apache 403 - looking .htaccess in parent's parent directory

    I am having this problem (apache2, ubuntu 12.04) I have put all my sites in /home/username/vhosts folder I have added permissions to home and username to be x and chmod -r 777 on vhosts Added /etc/hosts to access my sites with desired names Did a2enmod rewrite But still I have this error: [Sat Jun 23 00:05:23 2012] [crit] [client 127.0.0.1] (13)Permission denied: /home/username/.htaccess pcfg_openfile: unable to check htaccess file, ensure it is readable WHY is it not readable? I did sudo -s su - www-data and with that I can correctly list the /home/username dir What is wrong with me or apache?

  • What filesystem comes closest to matching NTFS for support of ACLs, and highly-granular permissioning?

    It seems that most other filesystems handle the basic *nix permissions (ugo±rwx), with maybe an addition here or there. Or can be "made" to handle ACLs through the use of other tools on top of the system. On the wikipedia pages about filesystems (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List%5Fof%5Ffile%5Fsystems & http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison%5Fof%5Ffile%5Fsystems), it appears that while some do support extended meta-data, none support natively the level of permissioning that NTFS does. Am I wrong in this understanding?

  • Improve backup performance by watching files added/modified in given directories?

    I use SyncbackSE on Windows to back up files between two hard drives daily. Every time the application starts, it scans every single file in the directories that it watches before copying files that were added or modified. To improve performance, I was wondering if there were a Windows backup application that would hook into Windows to keep tracks of files that were added/modified in given directories, so that it only needs to go through this list when it comes time for a backup.     Has anyone got a good list of the costs of running colour laser printers, both for colour and black that take into account different usage volumes. E.g if the dram needs replacing after 20,000 pages, but I am only do 10,000 in the next 3 years, I don’t care about the cost of a new dram. So a simple “cost per page” figure is each printer is not good enough to be useful in real life. (A spread sheet / website that I could type my own usage values into would be great.)

There was a list of user accounts in opened window, then selected a user account and unchecked some option then the user account was gone from welcome screen.. Does anyone aware of this method?

What does this mean, can i revert it to normal, has anything been modified and is there a list somewhere of color codes for windows file names.. ? (I can recall seeing blue somewhere before).

    I've been looking for unanswered questions trying to build some reputation here. Once I select a tag filter in the sidebar, I'm shown all of the questions with that tag. Choosing more tags makes the filter more specific and choosing one of the tags from the set I've already chosen replaces the whole set with that one tag. But, how do I remove that lone tag so that I can return to the full list of Unanswered questions?

I need to know how to set privileges of me (as a user). I am the only user, but I want access to everything, but I don't want to manage my VPS logged in as root. So I am creating a username.     When I try to create a new database connection, the Data Sources (ODBC) programs hangs or takes a very long time to find the list of available SQL Servers. This only happens when there are other computers on the network, when my machine (a standard Windows 7 laptop) is alone, it works just fine. My question is: What should I look for in terms of SQL server or ODBC configurations that will take away this random behaviour?

    I'm looking for a desktop board that supports either VT-D (Intel) or IOMMU (AMD) technology. This is the IO virtualization technology, not VT-x for CPU virtualization. I've found a list of chipsets that are purported to have this, but every board I look at, the vendor has decided to not support that feature. I would really prefer a desktop board over a server board for this. Does anyone have a specific model that is known to support this technology?
