  • Using Fzip lib under Adobe Air App

    - by Rafael Oliveira
I'm currently working on a project for Adobe Air (1.5.3) and I need to unzip a file, copy some of its contents to another file. Then I saw people talking about the Fzip (http://codeazur.com.br/lab/fzip) lib. The problem is that I don't know how to "import" or use this library with Javascript and Adobe Air, since Javascript doesn't have the import directive. How can I manage to do that ?

  • How can you remove a field from a word document?

    - by Kevin van Zanten
Dear reader, I'm working on a project where the user can insert data into a document using fields, document properties and variables. The user also needs to be able to remove the data from the document. So far, I've managed to remove the document property and variable, but I'm not sure how I would go about removing the field (that's already inserted into the document). Please advise. Yours sincerely, Kevin

  • Django ModelFormSet with Google app engine

    - by Eric
I'm using Django with google app engine. I'm using the google furnished django app engine helper project. I'm attempting to create a Django modelformset like this: #MyModel inherits from BaseModel MyFormSet = modelformset_factory(models.MyModel) However, it's failing with this error: 'ModelOptions' object has no attribute 'fields' Apparently modelformset_factory() is expecting MyModel to implement a 'fields' accessor. Anybody successfully used a modelformset with GAE datastore? Or is this a fundamental incompatibility between Django and GAE?

  • Example open source client-server code projects

    - by Ricket
I'm still trying to determine an answer to my question from a few minutes ago, "Should client-server code be written in one 'project' or two?" and I think it would benefit me to see how other projects organize their code (and hopefully deduce the pros and cons of why they chose to do it that way). What are some open source client-server projects which might be best to look at and mimic their code organization style? Java is preferred but not required.

    - by user1677272
I have a VC++ dll, which I want to register on my 32-bit Windows 7 machine using regsvr32.exe, however I have some problems with this. There is only one entry in Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\TypeLib with the guid mentioned in the project. Can anyone help me on this?

  • Google Collections sources don't compile

    - by Carl Rosenberger
I just downloaded the Google Collections sources and imported them into a new Eclipse project with JDK 1.6. They don't compile for a couple of reasons: javax.annotation.Nullable can not be found javax.annotation.ParametersAreNonnullByDefault can not be found Cannot reduce the visibility of the inherited method #createCollection() from AbstractMultimap + 11 similar ones Name clash: The method forcePut(K, V) of type AbstractBiMap has the same erasure as forcePut(Object, Object) of type BiMap but does not override it + 2 similar ones What am I missing? I also wonder if unit tests for these collections are available to the public.

  • How do I make a script that properly introduces hstore in both 9.0 and 9.1?

    - by Igor Zinov'yev
I am trying to introduce the hstore type into the database of a project I'm developing. But the problem is that I have a slightly newer version of the Postgres server installed on my development machine than there is on the production machine. While I can simply execute the CREATE EXTENSION command locally, this command is unavailable on the production machine. Is there a way to create a script that will install hstore both on 9.1 and 9.0?

  • Targeting Android with Scala 2.8 Trunk builds

    - by Kevin Wright
The definitive reference for using Scala on android seems to be here: http://www.scala-lang.org/node/160 Unfortunately, all the references on using scala with android are based around Scala 2.7 and refer to a custom build android-library.jar, with a couple of cryptic references suggesting that this custom build isn't needed for later versions of android (I'm using 2.1 / API v7) So... What are the steps needed to use Scala 2.8 in an android project? Preferably using eclipse and the Android tools that Google supplies for that IDE.

  • PHP Grid recommendations needed

Hi, I'm looking for a grid control for a project I'm doing in PHP. Are there any good recommendations? Ideally, it'd have a data entry mode similar to a spreadsheet where the user could enter row after row after row, without needing to click new/edit buttons or links.

  • Jruby rspec to be run parallely

    - by Priyank
Hi. Is there something like Spork for Jruby too? We want to parallelize our specs to run faster and pre-load the classes while running the rake task; however we have not been able to do so. Since our project is considerable in size, specs take about 15 minutes to complete and this poses a serious challenge to quick turnaround. Any ideas are more than welcome. Cheers

  • Passing an Object as an Interface

    - by Christopher Chase

  • Feeding PDF through IInternetSession to WebBrowser control - Error

    - by Codesleuth
As related to my previous question, I have developed a temporary asynchronous pluggable protocol with the specific aim to be able to serve PDF documents directly to a WebBrowser control via a database. I need to do this because my limitations include not being able to access the disk other than IsolatedStorage; and a MemoryStream would be far better for serving up PDF documents that average around 31kb. Unfortunately the code doesn't work, and I'm getting an error from the WebBrowser control (i.e. IE): Unable to download . Unable to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later. The line in my code where this occurs is within the following: pOIProtSink.ReportData(BSCF.BSCF_LASTDATANOTIFICATION, (uint)_stream.Length, (uint)_stream.Length); However, if you download the project and run it, you will be able to see the stream is successfully read and passed to the browser, so it seems like there's a problem somewhere to do with the end of reading the data: public uint Read(IntPtr pv, uint cb, out uint pcbRead) { var bytesToRead = Math.Min(cb, _streamBuffer.Length); pcbRead = (uint)_stream.Read(_streamBuffer, 0, (int)bytesToRead); Marshal.Copy(_streamBuffer, 0, pv, (int)pcbRead); return (pcbRead == 0 || pcbRead < cb) ? HRESULT.S_FALSE : HRESULT.S_OK; } Here is the entire sample project: InternetSessionSample.zip (VS2010) I will leave this up for as long as I can to help other people in the future If anyone has any ideas why I might be getting this message and can shed some light on the problem, I would be grateful for the assistance. EDIT: A friend suggested inserting a line that calls the IInternetProtocolSink.ReportProgress with BINDSTATUS_CACHEFILENAMEAVAILABLE pointing at the original file. This prevents it from failing now and shows the PDF in the Adobe Reader control, but means it defeats the purpose of this by having Adobe Reader simply load from the cache file (which I can't provide). See below: pOIProtSink.ReportProgress(BINDSTATUS.BINDSTATUS_CACHEFILENAMEAVAILABLE, @"D:\Visual Studio Solutions\Projects\InternetSessionSample\bin\Debug\sample.pdf"); pOIProtSink.ReportData(BSCF.BSCF_LASTDATANOTIFICATION, (uint)_stream.Length, (uint)_stream.Length); This is progress though, I guess.

  • Open Source multi-touch API's?

    - by daft
I'm looking for a good open source multi-touch API to use in a project we might get. So far I've found PyMT, but haven't really seen any comments on the maturity of that product, so any input in that regard would be much appreciated. I'd also like some other suggestions on API's that might be of interest, since googling have only given so much, and as with PyMT, it is quite difficult finding opinions on the frameworks out there. Many thanks.
