  • How to get unique values when using a UNION mysql query

    I have 2 sql queries that return results, both contain a contract number, now I want to get the unique values of contract numbers HEre's the query (SELECT contractno, dsignoff FROM campaigns WHERE clientid = 20010490 AND contractno != '' GROUP BY contractno,dsignoff) UNION (SELECT id AS contractno,signoffdate AS dsignoff FROM contract_details WHERE clientid = 20010490) So for example, if the first query before the union returns two results with contract no 10, and the sql query after the union also returns 10, then we have 3 rows in total, however because contractno of all three rows is 10, I need to have only one row returned, Is this possible?

  • Ruby character encoding issue

    Hi, I write a little ruby script, which sends me an email when a new commit added to our svn. I get the log with this code: log = `/usr/bin/svnlook log #{ARGV[0]}` When I run my script from bash I get good encoded character in the email, but when I try it and create a new commit I get wrong hungarian characters. I commited this: tes oéá I get this in the email: Log: tes ?\197?\145?\195?\169?\195?\161 How can I solve this issue?

    I have the following situation I have a couple of table rows within a table eg <tr><td>One</td></tr> <tr><td>Two</td></tr> <tr><td>Three</td></tr> <tr><td>Four</td></tr> <tr><td>Five</td></tr> Say all of them are invisible Then I have a button to make them visible one by one, so if row 1 is invisible and I press the button then row 1 should be visible, if I press it again it sees that row 1 is already visible then it makes row 2 visible and so it goes on and on and on. How can I do this in Jquery so that jquery can accomplish this task for me. Is it possible?

    I have got a simple question, but the answer is hard to find. I want to put a contentquery webpart with a custom xslt on my page, but it has to render extra links if the page is opened in edit-mode. So, if (SPContext.Current.FormContext.FormMode == SPControlMode.Display) : show some extra links near the items in the xslt. How can I achieve this? I have already overridden the default ContentByQueryWebPart, is that the way? Thanks in advance.

Now in main there is a button called add number, which brings up a normal browser popup, in this popup I have a form that needs to be filled in and then I click submit on this form and then the main frame should reload, the form processing happens within the popup page and then after processing the main frame should refresh.     I'm trying to append more than one Google Map to a page. But it seems like I'm having some trouble.   • NMEA data received but empty. Is there any secret?

    I have a tablet "Futjitsu Stylistic Q550". It's running on Windows 7 (not Phone!). It has a built-in GPS-receiver "Sierra Wireless". I need to parse NMEA data from COM-port. I can do it but it's always empty! Like "$GPRMC,,V,,,,,,,,,,N*53". I've tried standing on open space a long time (so my Android device had located me via GPS for a long time) but NMEA data still empty. So I suppose that GPS is off. But I don't know how to figure it out. I've tried send to COM port $PARAM,START,0*61 but no changes. I've tried to insert SIM-card into the device, as it was suggested on one forum but result was the same. Well is it possible that GPS is idle or something or it's just not working? And if it is idle or off how can I enable it? And.. That looks strange but GSV enumerates satellites but everyone of them has still no data e.g.: $GPGSV,4,1,16,32,,,,11,,,,23,,,*78

The name column contains certain values eg. test23233 [987665432,2014-02-18] At the end of the value is a date, I need to compare this date, and return all records where this specific date is younger than today I tried select id,name FROM clients where name ~ '(\d{4}\-\d{1,2}\-\d{1,2})'; but this isn't returning any values. How would I go about to achieve the results I want?

    In our last blog, we introduced the opportunities that lie ahead for social developers as social applications reach across every aspect and function of the enterprise. Leading the upcoming JavaOne Social Developer Program October 2 at the San Francisco Hilton is Roland Smart, VP of Social Marketing at Oracle. I got to ask Roland a few of the questions an existing or budding social developer might want to know as social extends beyond interacting with friends and marketing and into the enterprise. Why is it smart for developers to specialize as social developers? What opportunities lie in the immediate future that’s making this a critical, in-demand position? Social has changed the way we interact with brands and with each other across the web. As we acclimate to a new social paradigm we also look to extend its benefits into new areas of our lives. The workplace is a logical next step, and we're starting to see social interactions more and more in this context. But unlocking the value of social interactions requires technical expertise and knowledge of developing social apps that tap into the social graph. Developers focused on integrating social experiences into enterprise applications must be familiar with popular social APIs and must understand how to build enterprise social graphs of their own. These developers are part of an emerging community of social developers and are key to socially enabling the enterprise. Facebook rebranded their Preferred Developer Consultant Group (PDC) and the Preferred Marketing Developers (PMD) to underscore the fact developers are required inside marketing organizations to unlock the full potential of their platform. While this trend is starting on the marketing side with marketing developers, this is just an extension of the social developer concept that will ultimately drive social across the enterprise. What are some of the various ways social will be making its way into every area of enterprise organizations? How will it be utilized and what kinds of applications are going to be needed to facilitate and maximize these changes? Check out Oracle’s vision for the social-enabled enterprise. It’s a high-level overview of how social will impact across the enterprise. For example: HR can leverage social in recruiting and retentionSales can leverage social as a prospecting toolMarketing can use social to gain market insightCustomer support can use social to leverage community support to improve customer satisfaction while reducing service costOperations can leverage social improve systems That’s only the beginning. Once sleeves get rolled up and social developers and innovators get to work, still more social functions will no doubt emerge. What makes Java one of, if not the most viable platform on which to build these new enterprise social applications? Java is certainly one of the best platforms on which to build social experiences because there’s such a large existing community of Java developers. This means you can affordably recruit talent, and it's possible to effectively solicit advice from the community through various means, including our new Social Developer Community. Beyond that, there are already some great proof points Java is the best platform for creating social experiences at scale. Consider LinkedIn and Twitter. Tell us more about the benefits of collaboration and more about what the Oracle Social Developer Community is. What opportunities does that offer up and what are some of the ways developers can actively participate in and benefit from that community? Much has been written about the overall benefits of collaborating with other developers. Those include an opportunity to introduce yourself to the community of social developers, foster a reputation, establish an expertise, contribute to the advancement of the space, get feedback, experiment with the latest concepts, and gain inspiration. In short, collaboration is a tool that must be applied properly within a framework to get the most value out of it. The OSDC is a place where social developers can congregate to discuss the opportunities/challenges of building social integrations into their applications. What “needs” will this community have?   • Where's Windows XP standard MIDI SoundFont?

    I'm trying to find the standard SoundFont used in WindowsXP's MIDI Wavetable Synthesizer. I don't know if I get this right, but there seems to be a set of Roland Sound Canvas samples used in XP's wavetable synthesizer. I looked for a SoundFont based on these samples, but either there is none in my Windows installation, or the MIDI playback works in a different way. Anyone has an idea where to look for it?

  • Grub not showing on startup for Windows 8.1 Ubuntu 13.10 Dual boot

    K im so a newbie to Ubuntu and i bought a Windows 8 pre-installed laptop last month. I updated to Windows 8.1 and then i thought about installing Ubuntu as a dual boot so i could mess around and learn more about it. So i followed a Youtube tutorial ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJfTvkgLqfQ ). And i got my stuff working fine. The first few times i booted i got the GRUB menu instead of my default HP Boot OS Manager, and i was able to select my OS. So i went to sleep and the next day i turned on my computer and the GRUB menu did not show up. I tried several times and it didnt automatically show up. In order for me to see the GRUB menu i had to turn on my PC and on start had to press ESC to pause startup and press F9 to get boot options. Then from there i had to pick from OS Boot, Ubuntu, Ubuntu (Yes there were two Ubuntus available) and a default EFI file thingy. When i click the first Ubuntu i get the GRUB Menu (I was too scared to try the second incase i screwed my laptop up) and i can safely load Ubuntu from there and use it (although i do have to increase my brightness everytime i load Ubuntu bec it somehow reduces my brightness to complete darkness on boot) So my problem here is why isnt my GRUB showing on boot, after it worked on the first day? I was on Windows 8.1 while typing this and if you have any questions or answers, i will happily answer or use them as a solution to the best of my abilities. BTW my laptop is a HP TouchSmart j-078CA.
