I am attempting to replace all records for a give day in a certain table. The table has a composite primary key comprised of 7 fields. One such field is date.
I have deleted all records which have a date value of 2/8/2010. When I try to then insert records into the table for 2/8/2010, I get a primary key violation. The records I am attempting to…
I have a javascript variable that basically looks like this:
my_svg_image = '<circle cx="227.58331298828125" cy="102" r="3" style="fill:black;stroke-width:0" />';
It was loaded from my database. Is there a way I can parse that string and add it to the DOM with Javascript? I have svgweb set up, but don't see how I can get it to parse…
Is there a way to determine if a function generates a figure in R?
For example, if we have functions f and g
f = function(x,y){plot(x,y)}
g = function(x,y){mean(x*y)}
I would like able to run
createFigure(f(x,y))#Returns TRUE
createFigure(g(x,y))#Returns FALSE
Thanks
I've just started using Selenium-IDE (not looked at selenium-RC yet: if somebody tells me that that is the answer to my question I'll look at it)
One of the operations I'm testing generates some output in a table in the next HTML page, but the order of the rows is not predictable.
I can obviously use 'assertTextPresent', but I want to do a…
I have an app that uses the LocationManage functions which works well until the app is stopped or paused. The location listener function is still carrying on in the background. Relevant bits of code follow. When I click home or back the onstop() function is being triggered correctly.
package uk.cr.anchor;
import android.app.Activity;

What's the best way to get a ul to start from 'x'?
The start tag is depricated and everything I have found on Google has used the :before pseudo class which doesn't work in IE6 or 7. Didn't have much luck when searching stack either.
Only thing I can think of is manually go through and number the lists myself and style accordingly?
Any…
I've got a simple active record validation on an object using this within a form:
form.error_messages({:message => '', :header_message => ''})
This in turn outputs something like "FieldName My Custom message"
What i need to do is remove the field name from the error message but leave my custom message.
Can anyone point me in…

Last week, I attended the second largest IT conference. It was Gartner Symposium IT Expo held in Orlando, Florida. Earlier this month, I also had the opportunity to be part of the largest IT conference earlier in the month – Oracle Open World . Both were gatherings for senior IT professionals – CIOs, Senior IT and…

On the 5th of October 2012, a team of nine plucky Red Gaters braved the howling wind and the driving rain to sleep outside. No tents or mattresses were allowed – all we took for protection were sleeping bags, groundsheets, plastic sacks and Colin’s enormous fishing umbrella (a godsend in umbrella-y disguise).
Why would…
I have certainly been reading blogs a whole lot more than writing them the last several weeks, and it’s about time I got back to writing. I have been collecting several topics and references for blog posts…some of which will probably just never get written as the timeliness of the topics fade over time. …
The last few months have been pretty manic and Vizioz has been growing successfully into a fully fledged development agency. I have been working with a couple of excellent off shore developers who I would like to publicly thank for all their hard work over the last couple of months!This week has been the start of a…
