    I am trying to format a date: FORMAT(table.TCKT.TCKT_ISS_DATE, 'YYYY') AS TICKETYEAR but I am getting the following error: ORA-00904: "FORMAT": invalid identifier Right now the date show the complete timestamp. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem, or any other way to format the date to just show the four digit year?

  • Identifier for win64 configuration in Qmake

    Is there a "win64" identifier in Qmake project files? Qt Qmake advanced documentation does not mention other than unix / macx / win32. So far I've tried using: win32:message("using win32") win64:message("using win64") amd64:message("using amd64") The result is always "using win32". Must I use a separate project-file for x32 and x64 projects, so they would compile against correct libraries? Is there any other way to identify between 32-bit and 64-bit environments?

  • how do you make a "concurrent queue safe" lazy loader (singleton manager) in objective-c

    Hi, I made this class that turns any object into a singleton, but I know that it's not "concurrent queue safe." Could someone please explain to me how to do this, or better yet, show me the code. To be clear I want to know how to use this with operation queues and dispatch queues (NSOperationQueue and Grand Central Dispatch) on iOS. Thanks in advance, Rich EDIT: I had an idea for how to do it. If someone could confirm it for me I'll do it and post the code. The idea is that proxies make queues all on their own. So if I make a mutable proxy (like Apple does in key-value coding/observing) for any object that it's supposed to return, and always return the same proxy for the same object/identifier pair (using the same kind of lazy loading technique as I used to create the singletons), the proxies would automatically queue up the any messages to the singletons, and make it totally thread safe. IMHO this seems like a lot of work to do, so I don't want to do it if it's not gonna work, or if it's gonna slow my apps down to a crawl.     I'm still feeling my way around C++, and am a complete ATL newbie, so I apologize if this is a basic question. I'm starting with an existing VC++ executable project that has functionality I'd like to expose as an ActiveX object (while sharing as much of the source as possible between the two projects). I've approached this by adding an ATL project to the solution in question, and in that project have referenced all the .h and .cpp files from the executable project, added all the appropriate references, and defined all the preprocessor macros. So far so good. But I'm getting a compiler error in one file (HideDesktop.cpp). (The ATL AX project, naturally enough, defines _ATL_DLL, but I can't see where that would make a difference.) Your application bundle's signature contains code signing entitlements that are not supported on MAC OS X. Specifically, key 'application-identifier' in '(My app name).app/Contents/MacOS/(My app name) is not supported. My XCode is 4.2 and I didn't check Enable Entitlements. Please help me!!!

  • What is a generic term for name/identifier? (as opposed to label)

    I need to refer to a number of things that have both an identifier value (used in code and configuration), and a human-readable label. These things include: database columns dropdown items subapplications objects stored in a dictionary I want two unambiguous terms. One to refer to the identifier/value/key. One to refer to the label. As you can see, I'm pretty settled on the latter :) For the former, identifier seems best (not everything is strictly a key, and value and name could refer to the label; although, identifier usually refers only to a variable name), but I would prefer to follow an established practice if there is one. Is there an established term for this? (Please provide a source.) If not, are there any examples of a choice from a significant source (Java APIs, MSDN, a big FLOSS project)? (I wasn't sure if this should be posted here or to English Language & Usage. I thought this was the more appropriate expert audience. Happy to migrate if not.)

    I have an Entity Framework 4 model-first design. I create a first draft of my model in the designer and all was well. I compiled, generated database, etc. Later on I tried to add a string scalar (Nullable = true) to one of my existing entities and I keep getting this type of error when I compile: Error 3004: Problem in mapping fragments starting at line 569: No mapping specified for properties MyEntity.MyValue in Set MyEntities. An Entity with Key (PK) will not round-trip when: Entity is type [MyEntities.MyEntity] I keep having to manually open the EDMX file and correct the XML whenever I add scalars. Ideas on what's going on?

    I'm doing a distribution of tomcat for a many servers and in each of these servers the realm is going to be different. I would like to have a file /etc/tomcat/realm.xml containing the realm for that installation and have the file /var/lib/tomcat/conf/server.xml import it directly. I've tried with Xinclude without luck and I'm about to resort to sed to the import when running /etc/init.d/tomcat. Is there a better way to do this?

  • Rails Action and Fragment Caching during Development?

    I'm just starting to get into Rails caching and am wondering how to test whether or not caching is working in my development environment. I have set these two config variables for both the development (temporarily) and production environments: config.action_controller.perform_caching = true config.action_controller.page_cache_directory = File.join(RAILS_ROOT, 'public', 'cache') And my controller basically looks like this (using the resource_controller gem): class EventsController < Spree::BaseController resource_controller caches_page :index index.response do |format| format.html format.xml { render :xml => @collection.to_xml } end # ... end If I do that, I get these files: public/cache/events.html public/cache/events.xml But when I change caches_page to caches_action, I don't see any generated files and am not sure how to tell if the response has been cached. What do I need to know to know that this is working? I've read the docs and related, the rails caching guides, the railscast, and a few other docs, but I'm still wondering where everything is stored. I thinking that I should use a blockquote or sidebar to contain the quoted document. But how do I go about making random headings in non sequential order?
