Find next and previous link in a hierarchy

But I want to make next and previous links with jQuery, which finds the active page you're on (probably by checking for a class), and finding the previous and next anchor element (taking no regards of the hierarchy). I've tried with next(), previous() and find() but can't seem to get it to work. What is the easiest way to get the anchor elements before and after the current one?

Can first descendent be selected directly?

I am currently using find() and first() method to select the first descendent element from each of the <div> elements that contains the parent class. But I find this quite cumbersome since find() method would produce a set of matched elements before the first element is being picked. CSS Dropdown Menu issues

Can anyone help with a small problem. I've got a nice simple CSS dropdown menu http://www.cinderellahair.co.uk/new/CSSDropdown.html The problem I have is when you rollover a menu item that has children which are wider than the content, it pushes the whole menu right. Aside of shortening the child menu links down, is there any tweak I can make to my CSS to stop this happening? Adapting a HTML/CSS dropdown menu to multi-level

For some reason i can only do "margin-right" to align the elements, and this causes some problems. I think it has something to do with the position attribute. Linux software raid fails to include one device for one RAID1 array

One of my four Linux software raid arrays drops one of its two devices when I reboot my system. The other three arrays work fine. I am running RAID1 on kernel version 2.6.32-5-amd64. Every time I reboot, /dev/md2 comes up with only one device. I can manually add the device by saying $ sudo mdadm /dev/md2 --add /dev/sdc1. Home ADSL Modem Dropping Packets?

I know this is supposed to be a "pro" forum, but I'm hoping someone can help since my ISP isn't doing much to try and fix things. My ISP has given me a DSL modem / Router combo - a ADB / Pirelli P.DG A2100N and I have a 4096 / 767 kbps connection. I use it purely as modem and router, and have the wireless AP feature turned off. I run it to a Ubiquiti Networks Toughswitch and use a Ubiquiti UAP as the wireless access point - although I've ran tests directly wired to the router with nothing else connected, and still see the same issues. I've been having issues where latency suddenly spikes from 8ms to google.com to 250+ if someone does anything on the internet. If I run a speedtest or something, I can see latencies above 3000ms. Regularly when downloading something, even if the speed is throttled to , it can get random drops to 0kbps every few seconds. Online gaming is impossible because I notice the sudden lag-outs in the connection, and video streams or VoIP drop out as well - it's not at all consistent. jQuery navigation with childs and grandchilds

Hello I'm trying to create a little menu for navigation. Some of the menu items (level 0) have possibly children (level 1) and grandchildren (level 2). (see the html code below). All I would like to make the level 1 elements visible with a click event on the level 0 elements. When hovering on level 1 elements the level 2 elements (children from the hovered level 1 element) should become visible but with a little delay (like 1 sec.) and then if you 'unhover' on that one it will take 1 second to disappear the level 2 elements that way if you accidently unhover the level 1 element it won't punish you for it because you have 1 sec to hover it again. so if you slide across all of them, it will only pop up the one you kept your mouse on initially. Internet Explorer not incrementing number for non-sibling <li> elements

I've got some html that looks like this: <ol> <div> <li>one</li> </div> <div> <li>two</li> </div> <div> <li>three</li> </div> </ol> Which looks like this in Chrome/Firefox: 1. one 2. two 3. three But looks like this in IE: 1. one 1. two 1. three If I change the code so that the li element is the parent of the div element instead of the other way around (so that all the li elements are siblings) IE renders it correctly. Anyone know what causes this or if this is the intended working behavior of IE? Furthermore is one way technically more correct than the other? <div><li></li></div> VS. <li><div></div></li> Thanks, David

My problem is, when etag is multiple words (and I don't have control over it. Its coming from a database and could be combination of multiple words seperated with space char) then the code does not work.. is there any way to achieve this?

Postfix - am I sending spam?

today I received like 30 messages within 5 minutes telling me that some mail I send could not be delivered, mostly to *.ru email addresses which I did not send any mail to. I have my own webserver (postfix/dovecot) set up using this guide (http://workaround.org/ispmail/lenny) but adjusted a little bit for Ubuntu. I tested whether I am an Open Relay which I am apparently not. Now there are two possible reasons for the above mentioned emails: Either I am sending out spam, or somebody wants me to think that, correct? How can I check this? I selected one particular address that I supposedly send spam to. Then I searched my mail.log for this entry. I found two blocks that record that somebody from the server connected to my server and delivered some message to two different users. I cannot find an entry reporting that anyone from my server send an email to that server. Does this mean its just some mail to scare me or could it still have been send by me in the first place?
