  • [WPF] How to register to/listen to richtextbox commando's?

    I'm creating a simple editor within our application using the WPF RichTextBox. Above it I've added the reguslar buttons like Bold, Italic, etc. These buttons use the RichTextBox's commands to set these properties, but next to these buttons, the commands also get send with CTRL+B, CTRL+I, etc. I want these buttons to represent the current state of the RichTextBox at the cursor. I already found out how to get this state and it works when I update this state on the SelectionChanged event. This event ofcourse isn't fired when Bold is toggled so there is no direct feedback. I would like to know if there is a way to listen to the commands being called, without affecting its original behaviour or some other ideas to solve my problems. I tried listening to the command the following way: CommandBinding boldBinding = new CommandBinding(EditingCommands.ToggleBold, CommandExecuted); _richTextBox.CommandBindings.Add(boldBinding); and private void CommandExecuted(object sender, ExecutedRoutedEventArgs e) { UpdateProperties(); e.Handled = false; } This did update the properties, but the RichTextBox didn't seem to receive the command anymore. I also tried to make my own commands on the control containing the RichTextBox, but when CTRL+B is pressed when the RichTextBox has focus, the original RichTextBox commands are called instead of the new one. When connecting from a remote computer (running Ubuntu 10.10, server is running RHEL 5.7), I issue mysql -u jeffrey -p --host=171.67.88.25 --port=3306 --socket=/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock but receive a ERROR 2003 (HY000): Can't connect to MySQL server on '171.67.88.25' (113). I've noticed that the socket file /var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock is blank. Should this be the case?     I want nginx/0.7.6 (on debian, i.e. with config files in /etc/nginx/sites-enabled/) to serve a site on exactly one subdomain (indicated by the Host header) and nothing on all others. But it staunchly ignores my server_name settings?! In sites-enabled/sub.domain: server { listen 80; server_name sub.domain; location / { … } } Adding a sites-enabled/00-default with server { listen 80; return 444; } Does nothing (I guess it just matches requests with no Host?) server { listen 80; server_name *.domain; return 444; } Does prevent Host: domain requests from giving results for Host: sub.domain, but still treats Host: arbitrary as Host: sub-domain. The, to my eyes, obvious solution isn't accepted: server { listen 80; server_name *; return 444; } Neither is server { listen 80 default_server; return 444; } Since order seems to be important: renaming 00-default to zz-default, which, if sorted, places it last, doesn't change anything. But debian's main config just includes *, so I guess they could be included in some arbitrary file-system defined order? This returns no content when Host: is not sub.domain as expected, but still returns the content when Host is completely missing. I thought the first block should handle exactly that case!?   • How to run node.js app on port 80? Are processes blocking my port?

    I believe the port 80 on my remote instance is blocked, and I am trying to run a node.js app using port 80. I have experimented with ports 3000 and 3002, and both ports are working fine, but I get an error when running on port 80. I suspect port 80 is blocked from my output of netstat -an below, but how can I find the process id's of the addresses that are blocking port 80 below?     I have tried to search for a solution for this, but can't find any documentation/tips on my specific setup. My setup: Backendserver: ngnix: 2 different websites (2 top domains) in virtualenv, running gunicorn/python/django Backendserver hardware(VPS) 2gb ram, 8 CPU Databaseserver: postgresql - pg_bouncer Backendserver hardware (VPS) 1gb ram, 8 CPU Varnishserver: only running varnish Varnishserver hardware (VPS) 1gb ram, 8 CPU I'm trying to set up a varnish server to handle rare spike in traffic (20 000 unique req/s) The spike happens when a tv program mention one of the sites. What do I need to do, to make the varnish server cache both sites/domains on my backendserver?     When I try to access the uncaughtErrorEvents dispatcher when loaded directly, everything works well. That could be handled for example with plugins like FancyBox. I also want to use this form embedded into a GWT view. Lets assume that the for cannot be created on client side because it has some server based markup language inside to set up some model data. If I want to use this form in GWT I have to do the following. Tell GWT the form request url and use a RequestBuilder to query the html content of this form. Then I can insert it into a div generated by GWT. So far so good. Problem: When the user hits the send button the response is handled my the JQuery callback that is inside the script under the form. Is there a way to access this callback from within GWT? Is there a way to overwrite the JQuery send action? Since, the code is HTML and comes from the server I cannot place ui-binder UiFields inside to get access to these DOM elements. I need to get the response if the submitted form accessible to GWT. Is there a way how I can achieve this with JSNI?

  • How can I listen for the deletion of a ProjectItem via DTE?

    I've got a designer that relies on the existence of other solution items. If one of those items is deleted the designer crashes and you have to edit as XML to fix. Not exactly user friendly. I do, however, have the DTE object representing the instance of Visual Studio, as well as the ProjectItems I am dependent on. Is it possible to, somewhere in the depths of the DTE, register a listener for the deletion of that ProjectItem? And, if so, How would I do it?

  • (VB or C#) Run app in system tray and listen to keyboard input even when the app is not in focus

    I want to make an app which on loading sits in the system tray and even after I open another program (say notepad or vlc or anything) i.e. even when the app is not in focus and if I press "G" on my keyboard, the tray icon should show a tool tip - "key G is pressed". I have tried several codes but nothing works when the app goes out of focus. I can use Register Hot Key (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms646309(VS.85).aspx) but it needs a modifier also (like Ctrl or Alt etc. along with my key G). So, is there any way I can achieve this? something which many tray icons do like antivirus apps, etc. and I do not want to use AutoHotkey application. I want to build one but need some help. Thanks!

  • Issues configuring CUPS print server for Ubuntu Server 9.10

    I have a 9.10 Ubuntu Server installed and I want to make it a print server and am trying to get access to the cups browser admin page from a windows client machine. I installed cups: sudo apt-get install cups then I edited the /etc/cups/cupsd.conf file and tried several different listen cominbations: Listen 192.168.1.109:631 #ip my router gives it3 Listen /var/run/cups/cups.sock #already in conf file Listen fileserver:631 #hostname of server Port 631 #listen for all incoming requests on 631? samba is also installed (which I think is necessary to share the printer out? and finally I added my user to the lpadmin group: sudo adduser tone lpadmin but when I try to navigate any of the following I get 403 forbidden http://fileserver:631/admin http://fileserver:631 http://192.168.1.109:631/admin http://192.168.1.109:631 What did I miss?
