  • 8007064c(2011) and 80280007(2009) persistant after all known repairs

    I'm on Windows 7 Home x64, and have ran into a major issue with Live Messenger(which I use daily). I have full offline installers for both 2011 and the last Wave 3 2009(14.0.8117.0416) Suites. Both give the following errors: Live Essentials 2011 Offline installer(official): An unknown error occured. Error:0x8007064c Source WLXSuite WL 2009 offline installer(official): You already have a more recent version of Windows Live. Error: OnCatalogResult:0x80280007 Next steps: If you want to install this older version, first uninstall any later versions that are on your computer. Get help with this error The 2011 installer also says it is updating messenger, I don't select anything else. Then last 2009 installer says their is a newer version that needs uninstalled even after the following procedures. MS Help pages provided all basically lead to using uninstall from control panel. Which I've uninstalled all Live components including watcom safety scanner and portable SQL from. I've followed online instructions for manually deleting folders from Program Files(x86), Appdata, and some others under \User\All Users and the one for the one account on the machine. I've used CCcleaner 3.01, ASC 3.7.3 and Beta 4 with deep scan along with deleting folders, and checked their uninstallers for Live components too, and none were there. wlmuninstaller.exe tool reports nothing, but after a failed install it finds something, but failes to clean it under all user admin privilege. The same errors still occur after all of that. Google searching I see people on forums suggesting reinstalling the OS cause MS doesn't even know how to fix this, but I'm hoping someone here can help. NOTE: I don't have System Restore or any other state freeze utilities going, and I don't have any real time AV going(I sometime scan with defender, anti rootkits, and online scanners).     hi, I've a dell studio 1555 bought on september with Windows 7 64bit Professional on it. Audio devide works proprerly, while listening/watching audio/video contents (from disk or internet) Using VoIP Program Ventrilo Audio from others people works good, and I hear their voices clearly... Using VoIP Program such as Teamspeak 2/3, MSN, Skype I hear a really disturbed voice, and it's impossible to comprehend somethings... Anyway I can say that the first week that I've bought and installed Win7 Skype worked good, this problem happened after I installed Ventrilo... I tried to remove it (ventrilo) but nothing happened:( Please help me :D Thanks Marcx

  • open webim ( Mibew Messenger ) time out, reconnecting

    hi, i hope you guys know about webim a.k.a mibew messenger. I know only java, jsp and no idea about php except for some basics. Anyways, i ran this app in my apache2.2 local server. Everything works superb! But if i change my db to a virtual machine and give its address in the config.php (previously i had used localhost), in the visitors page, i get timeout, reconnecting. Login has no prob, so my guess is db connection is fine. I even changed the default page refresh time from 2 to 10. Nothing happens. Still same thing. You guys have any idea?

  • Messenger -"Register" an instance and not a type with the MVVM Light Toolkit?

    Hello i'm consfused using the Messenger class of MVVM Light. I have a ProductsViewModel that can get initialized a number of times. In the constructor of ProductsViewModel I have this code: Messenger.Default.Register(this, n = MessageBox.Show(n.Test)); The problem is, if I have 2 instances of ProductsViewModel, then Messenger gets registered twice. Is is bad to Register the Messenger in a constructor? Hope this makes sense!

  • wlcomm.exe using maximum cpu sporadically

    Every now and then wlcomm.exe will start using all the available CPU. It will keep using it until I kill the process. Google couldn't tell me much about why this is happening. wlcomm.exe is the 'windows live communication platform'. I have to use live messenger at work. How can I stop this happening?

  • Google chat on Windows 8 Release Preview Messaging app

    I have connected my Windows live account(Microsoft account), Facebook account and Google account with Windows 8. On "People" Windows 8 app it shows as connected to Microsoft, Facebook, Google, whereas in "Messaging" app its connected only to Microsoft and Facebook. While I can chat with Facebook online contacts and messenger's, I cant find my Google online contacts only on Messaging app. Seems like Google supports only sharing of contacts and not chat as of now. Does anyone knows how to get Google chat on Windows 8 Messaging?

  • How can I use the "Windows Live Call Button" on my headphone to answer a call with Skype?

    Webcams and headphones from Microsoft (like for example the LifeChat ZX-6000, in my case) have a button which can be used only with Windows Live Messenger, to answer a call. There is no option provided to configure it so that it would launch a program, or work in another communicator, in the given drivers. Is there a way to make it work with Skype, so that I can answer a call by pressing this button? Maybe there are other drivers?

    Some days ago, I got a file in Windows Live Messenger by an account of my friend, I thought it was a normal file because he normally sent me some files as well. But this time, I had no luck, he got the virus from someone else. I don't know what happens in my computer excepts that my computer hard disk runs as mad and every some minutes it trigger the internet explorer to launch some ads page, includes doubleclick, cam4, motor, etc.... How do I remove this virus from my computer? I don't have any virus program installed yet. My computer os: Windows Vista, the Windows Firewall is disabled somehow that I could not reenable it.

  • Boost::Asio - Remove the "null"-character in the end of tcp packets.

    I'm trying to make a simple msn client mostly for fun but also for educational purposes. And I started to try some tcp package sending and receiving using Boost Asio as I want cross-platform support. I have managed to send a "VER"-command and receive it's response. However after I send the following "CVR"-command, Asio casts an "End of file"-error. After some further researching I found by packet sniffing that my tcp packets to the messenger server got an extra "null"-character (Ascii code: 00) at the end of the message. This means that my VER-command gets an extra character in the end which I don't think the messenger server like and therefore shuts down the connection when I try to read the CVR response. This is how my package looks when sniffing it, (it's Payload): (Hex:) 56 45 52 20 31 20 4d 53 4e 50 31 35 20 43 56 52 30 0a 0a 00 (Char:) VER 1 MSNP15 CVR 0... and this is how Adium(chat client for OS X)'s package looks: (Hex:) 56 45 52 20 31 20 4d 53 4e 50 31 35 20 43 56 52 30 0d 0a (Char:) VER 1 MSNP15 CVR 0.. So my question is if there is any way to remove the null-character in the end of each package, of if I've misunderstood something and used Asio in a wrong way.   • MSNP-Sharp Example fails to login, gives SocketException

    I've just downloaded the MSNP-Sharp library with the aim of creating my own messaging client, however I am struggling to get the example to sign in. The code all compiles and runs, but when I provide my login details and select "Login" I almost immediately get the following SocketException: "No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 64.4.9.254:1863" I've stepped through the code and it's the messenger.Connect() function that is causing this, somewhat obviously. When I run the example I only change the login and password details. I am running Windows 7 x86 with the latest version of Windows Live Messenger. I have tried disabling my antivirus, even going as far as to temporarily uninstall it in case that was the error. I have also tried disabling Windows Firewall, with no luck.

    Hey everyone, I've been racking my brain (and fingers from typing) trying to solve this issue to no avail. I have a Lenovo computer and I install their system update tool to install all my missing drivers. However after this tool is installed Windows Live 2011 breaks, it will no longer sign in giving error number 8e5e0247 all the solutions online haven't helped. It appears that a language setting somewhere gets set to en_ms, and I'm en_ca. My computer is running Windows 7 x64. When i try to sign onto messenger it gives an error that (with some research) means your locale or language is not supported, I've searched my computer for any reference to en_ms but find none. Also a few other things seem to have broken, When a UAC box comes up it is no longer able to identify the publisher of anything, and also the indexing service does not work (I'm not sure if the indexing issue is related, but the UAC issue happened right after installation), I had this issue before but I don't remember how I fixed it, I believe it had something to do with environmental variables. When it goes to sign in it gets as far as the "Loading contacts" then stops and goes back to the sign in screen. Has anyone seen this before? Thanks

    Hi there, Does anyone have any advice how to write such app? Or maybe knows some nice tutorial? I would like to use System.Net.PeerToPeer namespace, but everything I can find about it is MSDN which I can't read without getting mad. Or maybe using "old-school" TCP/IP would more efficient? I will appreciate every piece of advice.   • Question about when and when not to raise events (C#)

    I am programming an instant messaging library for MSN Messenger, and I have a simple question about raising events. When logging in, should I be raising UserAdded for each user that is synchronized (already on the contact list), or should the UserAdded event be reserved for when a new user has been added to the contact list via the AddUser method? Should I perhaps use another event, UserDownloaded for when a user is downloaded? Similarly, when I call logout, should I call UserRemoved? I hope this makes sense. Thank you
